Gilmour is 70 years old here. He wrote the song and played every instrument on the original recording except keyboard (yes, drums too). Legend!
This was great! Fun to see a fellow Canadian on here reacting to my favorite band/guitarist of all time. This song's from the Atom Heart Mother album. The early 70s live versions were cool because they included some great tempo changes lead by Rick and extended jams in the middle section of the song. This version's great but imo, the definitive version of this is from 2006's Remember That Night DVD. The solo is right up there among David's best. Rick's on that tour with David, too, so it might as well be a Pink Floyd show and it delivers on that feel big time. Definitely should check it out. If not on the channel, then for sure on your own. Cheers!
