I actually think that the ult just makes him that much more unfair, because usually you'd just attack seal him to prevent him from playing the game. However, the ult actually cleanses so even if you seal his cards odds are the opponent will just ult rush and get them off regardless if you don't keep it under lock as well.

Try a Team with Full Winged King (ATK CRIT UR Gear), Little Green Valenti (Full Resistance Rolls HP DEF), Blue SR Howzer (Full Crit Resistance Rolls and Crit Resistance UR Gear) and Green Lilia (HP DEF UR Gear) in the Back for the Full Invincibility Strat! Your Opponent basically shouldnt have Crit Chance, Pierce and has very Low ATK making it impossible to break your King shield even with Ults!
Honestly I dont think there is a counter to him except attacking him first and hopefully killing him because otherwise you really can't do anything since the shield is not a buff the "Remove Buffs" won't work at all
The best counter would be a complete seal team Emilia , fes gow , summer merlin and ram in the back And this team might not even be too effective against king .......

this is like.. actually unwinnable. If you go first you just win. With ban it took holy relics to make him be number one because of how much health he had. You could at least damage ban. You cant with King. Buff with margaret attack with king you literally cannot be damaged. even by itself, its a grey buff so bans ult wouldnt proc. Margarget cant cancel passives with ult. They literally made an unkillable unit. this isnt even like The Ones appearance King literally cant die
@password 12 AM was a counter to Festival King. He got a buff whenever he was attacked, and Festival King needed to attack to do his thing. Ban was a counter to AM. He is red and could instantly kill AM without him getting stacks. Marg was a counter to Ban that was to pair with Cusak, it’s just they buffed her for some reason that made her way too strong compared to her counterpart. Marg could negate a lot of the damage done by Ban and also do a lot of damage with an AoE, negating Arthur’s taunt. Festival Gowther was a counter to Marg, that one is self explanatory.

Marg buff stacks with king buff since it’s a unique and not a buff. Buffs don’t stack with similar ones unless the buff is a unique itself, as in the gray icons
ngl the only way to counter this king is two ways: 1) Out CC the enemy king and run atk/crit dmg 2) Create a unit that disables all enemies’ passives or targets an enemy that steals their passive (ngl that second one is a random thought but god that would be broken)
At this point I just don't even want the pvp daily gem. Even if you have king, you lose if you have less cc. And I don't see a way to have more cc as a f2p trying to just enjoy some daily pvp plays. rip.

I remember shifting to ban team since pvp used to be uplayable without him (before marg) and now this king. I just don't think I'm going to have another built up team while being f2p. Netmarble literally trying to milk pvp enjoyers

Dont know if you knew this but green Arthur's dmg increase stacks with Margaret's buffs aswell. Im pretty sure it stacks because one is a gray buff and the other is blue.
Hear me out, use Summer Merlin. If King cannot attack then he cannot shield, then use Festival Gowther to stop ults and healing if they have Margaret, in addition to dealing some damage to him, plus Emilia for the extra cancer
King, Drole, gowther team? Drole could raise the defense/resistance which could make king deal more damage and for each buff the ultimate could do more? Pls try it, hope it's good!
These reason terry’s and Margaret’s damage increase don’t stack is because they come from their cards, king’s damage increase comes from his passive like green Arthur’s passive which is separate
netmarble should put a system that ban characters for this week or something like that to maintane the pvp in the future and there are still up coming characters that might be beyond broken then King. So I think a ban system will be need.
I miss the days when the most powerful unit was Lostvayne Meli. Yeah he was strong, especially with Elizabeth, but there were teams around (especially as they released a couple of new units) that made it possible to play against him, and you could even play around with unique ideas. Now, if you're not running the newest top tier unit (The One, then Assault Meli, then Ban/Margaret, now King), you can't play PVP. This is why I mostly just stick to PVE content.

Im thinking that FK Harlequinn, Fest Merlin, and Margret is now the best auto team. You could replace someone with maybe LV Meli in the front or Purg Ban.
