My eyes nearly rolled out of my head when he went on spiel on how he has a wife, a kid, and learned a language. People living life does not equal maturity. aDrive got a wife and kid and he got worse over time. He's a better example to his kids as that loser that's banned forever because he was a scumbag cheater.
"apology to the pokemon community" I doubt any of his "apology" is even sincere and just wants to find a way back into the tournaments. And it's funny cuz even if he was allowed back, who's to say he won't just go back to cheating? lmao it's a pathetic sob story
Youd think it would be easier since VGC is code and should be easy to spot hacked pokemon, whereas TCG is more of personal judgement. Unless blatantly stacking
Pokemon TCG Live has a separate timer for each player. They should do that in paper tcg since slow playing is something so many people are doing. Plus it's an opportunity to make pokemon themed chess clocks
But that means having like 600 clocks for larger events. Also if it doesn't cut game time down without making the game way too fast it can't work for events
It might sound harsh but a DQ should result in a temp ban from large events for atleast 2-3months. Im not sure if it is still the case but usually a DQ in yugioh would result in a minimum of a 6month ban
If you want to get rid of slow playing, just switch over to the Japanese BO1 tournament format. If time runs out and there is no winner, both players receive a game loss. That would fix the problem.
i genuinely don’t know why rules lawyering (telling someone about something they did against the rules) would be considered bad. can someone please explain? i genuinely want context
@@dwemersmith622 I thought it was pretty universal for when someone admits to a simple procedural error that could be remedied but the opponent immediately goes "JUDGE! THEY ADMITTED TO A GAMEPLAY ERROR! I GET DOUBLE PRIZE"
Why even get into vgc , it’s so bad unless you already been into for years. , if you’re brand new don’t dare to even try to get into VGC. Any new players will just be stomped on constantly by experienced players . The time it will take for some to get gud at vgc will take too long . Even if the new player plays long enough to get decent , by the time that happens they will want to quit because of getting stomped so much and they will not have a fun experience at all overall. Trust me stay far away. I’ve been playing competitive for about a year now it’s not worth it , not even really Fun anymore

"Its just a prank bro"
The prank:
Imagine complaining about the length of your THIRD BAN. lmao

Why can't VGC enforce bans like the TCG does?
More corruption since its all friends that got hired. Alphazealot and Cybertron cover for their cheating friends HARD

Gosh it’s like the criminal justice system
Love it when my epic pranks also result in huge competitive advantages in tournament play.

He should be banned for 10 lives and then some.
I don't play the tcg because I'd be slow af (not on purpose, I just have no idea what i'm doing)

Rule's lawyering is something else. Its trying to force a rulebreak on someone to get the prize card/ game loss and over pressuring the judge
@@Verlisify ohhhhh, then the definition varies between mtg and pokemon

This apology is pure joke 😂
I’d honestly prefer another let’s go game. Hopefully with abilities next time round if it happens.
I really liked no items and abilities

That's the completely wrong take about VGC. You described every competitive game ever
@@Verlisify Pokémon battle online takes way too much brain power. Sucks the life out you and all the fun , that’s why prefer battle towers or Raids .

I do sorta agree with him in a way. When youre that young, you do stupid shit. I'm not saying everyone matures and learns their lessons, but some do
The point of a prank is to be funny, even better if the prankie has a luagh too. How is lying about a tournament win funny?
theres a very easy way to stop this. chess clocks.
