My wife and I knew each other for 2 1\2 months before marriage. Stayed together for 41 years until she went to be with the Lord. It can work. I still miss her, but know I'll see her again. Love and blessings to you all from an old widower in Alabama!

I felt that when Martin said, I wished I would of learned more from my dad, like if something was broken I would take it to him to fix and not watch, that's how I feel, my dad was a carpenter, and I helped on several jobs, but I was young and mainly didn't pay attention, and he passed away at an early age of 52, so I never got the chance, so I felt that!! Wish I could go back and watch him, he did it all, plumbing, anything to do with remodeling a house he could do it. But I was young and dumb, i wished I would or watched him more and paid more attention to what he was doing and how it was being done. God bless yall fellas for another great episode!!

I had a situation similar to Uncle Si. Going bow hunting early one morning, I had an ol boy try to run us off a country gravel road. I hit the brakes and slid but he slid past me, over corrected, and went into a ditch. We got out to check on them and they came out fighting. Well, they thought they picked 2 easy ones but the 3 of them ended up bruised, scraped and dirty and in the county jail. God bless you all and be safe out there! The world done gone crazy!

My big brother told me if I would keep my foot out of the carburetor, then my husband wouldn't have to keep putting heads on my Chevelle SS's motor lol. But it had a 350 engine with a 4 barrel Holly Carborator with dual glass pack mufflers! She ran like a scalded cat was the color of a shiny new penny with the muffled roar of a lion! I sure loved that car.
“I’m so disappointed in you” was the WORST type of punishment my parents could dish out. I’da preferred a few swats on the butt to that.
One of the worst whippings I got was from dad and his belt. I had got in trouble for something I did and when mom spanked me I said some curse words. Later that evening after dad came home from work he told me I was getting the belt. I told him mom had already spanked me for what I did. He said, “I’m not spanking you for what you did, I’m spanking you for disrespecting my wife by cursing at her!”

I took it as a challenge to reach the record number of licks in 7th grade. I obtained the record but lost an academic award at the end of the year that I had earned. That still hurts 50 years later.
JD.. as far as the Nintendo switch, there is a app you can put on your phone and connect with the switch and set playing limits and bedtimes when it will shut off and not let them play. I highly recommend it!

Whipping willow's are the worst switch, they hurt I know because I got many switches. I like the children learning trades, I worked in construction for 34 years and we need younger people coming up because there not many and people are going to have a hard time getting things fixed. I would love to teach because I can't work anymore because I hurt my lower back bad
