Terrific vid! The railway looks so well maintained and smart!
A great 'Behind the Scenes' video Simon. Good to see the South African cab seats in use too.
I enjoyed this video. The first 12 minutes showing the engine prep was something I hadn't seen before.
I enjoyed it, too. It's something i wouldn't have thought of and makes me think about how this has been passed down through the years.
I’m glad you liked it. I do try to show things and views that aren’t often seen
Good to talk to you at Devils Bridge last month, and thanks for the look inside the cab of No.8
Good to meet and talk to you too. Love your video as well. Lovely footage. Let me know next time you’re coming 👍🏻
@@rheidol7754 Cheers thanks for that. Unfortunately I usually only get over your way once a year!
Love this steam engines. What happened to the NG15?
I'm pleased you've retained the original whistle of the true S.A.R. sound 👏 but should have retained the SAR/SAS signage on the water tank?
Hi, thanks for your comments. The engine hasn’t carried the S.A.R signage on the water tank since it left SA in the 80’s. The VoR have tried to incorporate the original design with a slight twist that represents its running on the railway today.
@@rheidol7754 got you and keep up the outstanding work in maintaining this valuable history which is all but gone in South Africa 😧
