Just when you think Pagani Design are done with hasty watch releases. There is light shadow from Pagani Design lately. You're absolutely right, nothing wrong with making watches wearable on smaller wrists, but this one looks just awkward. The bad movement and the unrefined clasp add to this impression. It's a hard pass for me.
Really like the Cronos "DJ." I'm actually really glad that I watched this, as I had wondered about the build quality of it. Not what I had thought it would be. Reviews like this are a real service to collectors. Greatly appreciated
Great review. Just received one of these today. For me the 'kink' in the bracelet is not an issue as I'm a shortarse with skinny wrists (6.5") so it fits well :-) My one came with a butterfly clasp, which works well, similar to my Longines Conquest. As for the famously 'gritty' crown, afaic it is actually *winding* as you screw it in so what you are feeling is the notches you naturally feel when winding it. I took the back off my one and put it on my timegrapher and made adjustments, so far so good against my radio controlled Casio ...no loss, no gain after a few hours though real time wearing will tell all. I've never had a watch with an SD6 movement and oh boy does that thing look cheap and nasty! Oh well, it's supposed to be reliable very common and so far so good. I bought mine from Ali Express for £46 ($58) incl tax, delivery was free ...very satisfied. Thumbs up.
tempted to get this because of the size but had a bad feeling about the clasp so just gonna sit out on this until pagani design changes the clasp and possibly movement. Great review
despite saying skipping this version, ended up purchasing one because of the 10.10 sale and price dropped to about usd60 LOL too good of a deal to miss ROTFL
I just received mine. I don’t have the UGS on the dial and that works for me. I don’t have any issues with the bracelet-I have small wrists. I love the sunburst dial. Mine is the dark blue. I think the watch is great.
@@xzoo4033 I really like it. I never appreciated the design of the nautilus until I got this one. The sunburst dial is particularly nice. The band looks great and the finish is great too. Definitely one of my favorite Paganis.
I'm glad to see it's under 14mm, but this design needs to be a lot thinner. I would love to see an 8mm ST18 powered homage, but that will likely never happen.
As somebody with a smaller wrist, this is like one step forward, two steps back. Guess I'll have to get around to finding a properly aligned quartz PRX for my integrated bracelet fix.
Thank you. I was going to buy the Blue one, but on the strength of this, No chance. Should have stuck to the NH35, put a correct clasp on etc. There is another homage identical but WAY better finished.
I like style of this watch, but the execution is poor, especially concerning the cheap movement and "kinky" bracelet. I have the same size wrist as you and know it would look horrible. Pagani dropping the ball again in several areas. SMH. THEY NEED NEW COACHES. LOL. Once again, Steve, excellent review! You go over the details and that's important.
It’s one of those things with the clasp, I think I would be fine but would have to buy to be sure. I got snappy wrists so I don’t think the awkward bracelet too links would really be a problem. I do wonder if it’s a supply thing that leads to the movement not being an nh35, seeing how they use them in so many of their other models. Still tempting lol
it was a very difficult process for me to adjust the bracelet. The links and screws are absolutely horrible. Will definitely ask for a replacement or a refund
Ordered this in white for about 80 euro on Aliexpress yesterday. Cancelled the order after watching a few reviews. Looks like the crown and movement malfunction more frequently than what Pagani likes to believe. Currently on day 1 waiting for my order to get cancelled. I'll probably go with a watchdives homage.
I don't think the watch looks that good, but it's a matter of taste of course. I have a wrist with the same size and I wouldn't like to see this watch on mine, an integrated bracelet into such a small case doesn't look comfortable at all. As soon as I looked at it on your wrist it made me put that watch on the "Do Not Buy" list. Thank you very much for this review.
Well I definitely know. It's not the NH35. I opened the back to check. Unless they updated this model (which I'm not aware that they have) It's the seagull ST6
Yes, absolutely. Typically I sell them (to fund the channel) on Reddit (have a couple there now) but I plan on doing giveaways ever 1K subscribers now.
If you are interested in this one, we can chat over Instagram DM...but unless you are in the US, it's probably not worth it for me to ship to you as shipping is quite expensive from the US
It's good to see this hommage at this size. And it's a good looking watch. But unfortunately the realization is bad. Very disappointed 😞 Great review, mate 👍
I think PD is just rushing with this one. They should take time if they want to make this homage right. The potential is there considering the materials they used, but the execution falls a little short for me.
So, this is something between Piaget Polo and PP Nautilus, with a rather GP Laureato bezel, right? Do we call this a homage, a marriage or a threesome?? 😜😂😂 Cheers Steve, be well mate. PS I guess the pink shorts is what's left after the floods, right? 😋(hey, just teasing you!)
@@EscapeWheel ah, it's weird. And I have no idea how it works. But don't worry, it's all right. Maybe I will learn English better this way 😂 Good weekend, Steve.
The dial is gorgeous and the size is great, but everything else about this watch is a massive miss…. I’ll stick with my Didun as it is better in basically every area….
Wow, that watch is atrocious - +39 seconds PER DAY, even over a YEAR that would be poor, it's basically TRASH, its main purpose is telling the time and it COMPLETELY fails at doing it correctly, add that horrible kink of the strap and the horrible unevenness of the crystal shape with its odd irregular 'curves' and its just bloody awful. This is possibly the WORST i've seen from Pagani Design, though 'miraculously' the hour markers look straight, which is a first for them.

On my opinion, this version has a decent movement, it has no date and, for me this is an advantage because the dial appears more clear and elegant.
Great review.

Appreciate your honest review. I’m going to pass until the movement and bracelet are updated.
Good idea. I hope they do update this one
that scratch on the bezel is killing me
4:52 Hey man, don’t kink shame 😂
🤣
I love that it has no date
Do you know of any other ''better''homage option in this style that is not super chunky and with a decent movement?
The Phylida was pretty good and offered a Miyota. Didun but IIRC it's either a Miyota quartz or a Chinese made DG2813

Is there a vacheron constantin American historiques 1921 homage you can review? The only one I can find is from dhgate.
received my and the funny thing is the dial doesn't have the UGS letters, just the logo and automatic word. Too bad, the alignment of indices sucks
Those are pretty good dimensions, very interesting watch, Thanks!!!

Great review, looks stunning but that kink from the body of the watch to the bracelet is a killer.
Yup, need a 6.5" wrist to avoid that probably

I wouldn't count on it

Light blue is Tiffany blue
they can't call it "Tiffany" for copywrite purposes...but yeah, we all know the color they are going for.

Why not?
Similar to patek Philippe
The red UGS is horrible, a dealbreaker for me.
The reason for the weird kink of the bracelet on your watch ist because of your wrist is too fat.
You need to loosen ur watches.
