Air Conditioning; Heating; Solar; cooktop; refrigeration; compost toilet; shower (showed insert, how does it work?) Love your channel, instagram etc. and all the new amenities featured at Canyon Adventure vans.
Hilton called… they said, you are putting us out of biz! ❤
I'm a full time software engineer. I have been working from home since the Pandemic. I never plan on going back to a cubicle again! I'm going to buy/build a van to travel around the country within the next few years. I'm pretty stoked and have been soaking up all I can about the lifestyle.
This is the way. 🤙🏼
please do thank you can ❤
I’m not a software engineer but this is my plan too. Good luck!
@@MakeebaK Good luck to you!
Fellow SE here and I did the same thing. Best thing I have ever done and blessed to be able to work on the road!
Nice, I dig the open concept. The window coverings are first class. The roof deck is over the top cool.
Thanks!
Woah thanks for the super thanks Shaw! I have never seen that feature before. Appreciate you 🙌🏻
😍😎🤘🤘🤘 I knew you were gonna get the tv!!!!
Dude! So nuts how much the van has changed just in a couple weeks! As always, can't wait to see what the future brings.
Thanks doggie 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Dude... that rooftop gear. That would be PERFECT for the infield of a race track. Daytona is the first one that comes to mind. OMG that would be insane. I've built convertible/collapsible decks for my taco bed before, but on that thing, you'd have the best seats in the house. Tons of goodies you have there man.
Would you consider making a video showing how the tv bracket works and how it’s mounted to the headliner shelf, it’s a sweet idea and design
I am still here watching heck yeah such a awesome system I’ll be watching for more love it
Super cool 🚌
I liked the hidden vacuum cleaner idea 🙋
So many ideas! So much R&D in all the products involved. Love seeing more built in vac solutions. Thank you for doing all that you do! If anyone is looking at cutting boards look at epicurean usa. I've had one of their boards for 10+ years and still going strong. Made in Minnesota. Just suggesting I don't work for or rep them. I don't see anyone talking about them and feel it's a gem for something so simple but needed for those who want to cook fresh and safe on the road.
Whoa! The Storyteller is looking awesome already! Super Excited for the upgrades and the new adventures. 🔥🔥🔥
every time he says upper deck ,I just reminds me of Middle School.......😂😂😂😂😂😂
Amazing tour Talon Sei. I had a lot of out loud wow moments!
Thanks Carrie! Hope you’re doing well 👋🏼
❤Thanks can’t wait for more videos
Two things - that orange on the umbrella and the zips reminds me of my Vols and the under bed storage...game changer! Just found this channel as I am thinking about buying a StoryTeller. Thanks Sei!
Dude great video as always but you forgot the best part of the TV, you can plug in your computer Bigger screen less eye fatigue , can't wait to see what else you do to that van.
Very impressive build! I think that's the only build I've ever seen that had a vacuum! Def. need a vacuum!!
Wow - so well thought out (even with "borrowing" ideas from your friends! This gets saved to my favourite RV mods file!
Glad it was helpful!
That front table mount bracket looks like an ankle smasher!
love the dirt devil. great idea
Wow! Totally the best setup I’ve ever seen. Such great organization! Great presentation. You’ve given me such good ideas to think about. 😊
Glad it was helpful Barbara!
Great features, all of it! Full time in this set up should be great. Roof deck, solar would only be the trade off.
All of what you’ve done so far looks great! Congrats!! For my wife and myself, the mirror/EDC set up and paper towel holder are in our future. Looking forward to the EXTERIOR mods!
It’s the simple things like that which makes life a lot easier!
Now I want to get one of those.. very nicely done
Cool new setup .
That ride is now freakin’ dope!
I’m digging the rooftop set up
P A R T Y ! Yup
Yeah your VAN is Top G status
Pretty cool man, nice setup for MTB touring fun for sure.
Well done
Woww super nice !!
Awesome build!!
That’s a awesome system specially the vacuum super cool
Hi🎉
Saved this video, for my van remodel.
Waiting on those new covers! Fire! Was not a huge fan of the previous versions you still had to screw in. Dig the new ones much more! Jason, take my money! Get my slide out deck this week, so pumped about that. Van is looking good. Can't wait to see it after Owl and Adrenaline......
Can’t wait to see it🔥
This was awesome orange on the window shades was a nice touch and music was chilled I think Jason can add canyon adventure upgrade pillows
It seems like they can do anything and everything vans at this point 🙌🏻😆
One word, AWESOME 😎
Thanks for watching 👊🏻👊🏻
Great tips! I'm making my wish list of mods that I want for my next van.
Super!
Very nice. Thanka.
As Jason said, you can turn it into the Ritz (on wheels).
Looking forward to your continuing review of the mods and curious about what else you will be doing.
Hope you're bringing it to Alaska for the midnight sun meetup so we can all dissect and drool.
I definitely see an Alaska trip in the future 😎 thanks for following along!
Beautiful build, storage and central vac are crazy, only thing I don’t like is the hidden shower.
So cool I want to get one one day
Nice!
Bad ass!!!!! So rad and ya i made it to the end.
Awesome van🤘
Thanks ✌️
Very very nice…
Dope! Vans already looking dialed.
Thanks guys! It will come together nicely before Bisbee 👌🏻
Damn that’s nice bro. 🫡
Saved this video. I’m going to copy everything he did when I buy mine.
Tell storyteller and CAVans I sent ya 👍🏻 you can find a full build list on my website
Nice bro🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
WICKED👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching
Instead of Samsung TV, I suggest to use LG stand by me TV they got 2 different style but first gen will use less electricity
Dude! All the features and modularity of this van are insane! I can't get over the roof porch, wild!
Very nice layout... Subscribed!
One thing I'd like to see is milling out the wood cabinet doors. These doors actually weigh quite a lot. Milling out the back surfaces might save 25-50% od the original weight. I have a 2022 Revel and it seems there's a lot of wasted efficiency with the build.
A sick build! I was looking a Revel and this just stopped that. Need to check Canyon out. Thank you.
As a women would feel so much safer having my Van Locked and being able to Lounge on top of a roof of a Van with clear view of my surroundings . Would like to be able to access that roof through sky light so can go from inside van to roof of Van Love it. I think that type of lounging is so awesome which I feel increase versatility of your Van living
So love this
Now it’s a 2 story van. 😊
Is it possible to have a hammock set up inside? I think it would add a lot of convenience to the camper if it was possible.
Talon you’re giving me ideas for my future ambulance build
Good!
Awesome van! I’m based in the UK and trying to decide between one of these and an RP Motorhome Rebellion (UK brand) for off grid living. If you get a chance I’d love to get your thoughts on the Rebellion specs against the Story Teller. Thanks for the inspiration.
So sick!!!! Love it
How much power does the Vacuum pull?
The "Seiteller" van is looking sweet! Any plans to update the air conditioner/heater/power like you did in the previous van? I also like the roof-top seating and umbrella. Is there any power outlets and/or solar options that can be put up there as well?
Heater and power are already better than what is in my other van. The AC could maybe use a little tweaking but I rarely use my AC anyway and this power system can handle it with no mods at all 👌🏻 There is an extra solar port on the side of the storyteller and I could add more panels to the roof but it’s not necessary with how good the alternator charges this thing.
@Talon Sei, you need a mount by your garage desk to mount that TV and it will double as a monitor for your laptop. Can you say dual screens?
Looks like you have most of Jason's toys...looking great. Two questions though. 1) Could a small walking golf bag fit into the bottom slide out drawer where your one wheel is? 2) How have you found sleeping under the storage compartments? Are you banging your head? I was expecting you would swap out one side for the smaller cabinets CAV has or are you keeping the max storage with the option to just leave one side at home? Enjoying your thorough reviews.
Hey Stephen, depends on the size of the bag I guess. I would say something 107cm in length can fit but you can find dimensions on CAvans. It was a little weird tongues used to the overhead cabinets but I don’t mind it now, I can always remove them if I feel crowded. Might do that just because for a future video.
Great looking build. So in addition to the Cost of Story Teller van, What is the FINAL cost, TO DATE, of ALL the modifications you've made? Thanks.
We need a video of the van at burningman with that new roof set up 😂
I wouldn’t want to put this van through that but that’s the perfect place for the upper deck seats!
Holy van hotel Batman. That's an amazing set up.
Are you going to do the rear pullout garage in the future too?
While the cargo slider are super cool, I don’t plan on doing that. This setup works perfectly for how I am using the van already 👌🏻
Great content. Is the Groove Lounge available for purchase? Thx
awesome, well done Talon....did I hear you say custom made sheets?
Modularity, modularity. Sounds rather jocular in the hotel van Storyteller.
You know someone is going to expand the roof patio with flip out panels.
Needs some kind of toilet option . I realize space is an issue.
Freaking amazing! Don’t know if u have answered this already but coming from a previous 4x4 MB van, was there a reason u chose the AWD from the get go instead of opting for the 4x4 option?
Short answer… I was ready to try something different. I filmed a video of my thoughts of AWD vs 4x4 and it should be on the channel next week 👌🏻
Good video. Hello, I’m looking to get a classic mode sto. Can you give some advice on financing and getting approval for the rv loan? I was told that it would be easier to get approved for a storyteller sto rv loan by using the bigger dealership’s finance option rather than using your own banks.
😁Put your goggles inside your helmet before you scratch them!!
I feel like you are cheating on the SatVan. 😂. Great build though. But would like to see you take the SatVan back out on a trip.
Great build!! Do you edit with a larger external monitor? If so where do you store that? I will want to outfit the 24” Apple Display someplace inside my StoryTeller
At home I have a 52” monitor for editing but when I’m on the road I only use the laptop screen.
Great Vid. What TV bracket are you using? I have the Storyteller stealth and just bought the 32" Samsung. Love that setup.
The mount is from CAvans!
Wow I want one, what is the length and height of this build??
Awesome setup man! Confirm you cannot stow the lux mattress like the original Storyteller one with the end pieces in the flare spaces?
You can stow it as normal, there will just be more cushion / mattress to tuck away so it wont be as tight up against the flares as with the thin stock mattress.
GREAT van! Question, what type of mount is the tv mounted on? Can u provide a link for it?
canyonadventurevans.com/product/tv-bracket-for-sto/
Hi! Do you have the TV mount link? I can't find it online. Thanks!
Such a well done video! Quick question are you able to swivel the driver seat still with the new table mount? We are looking at getting that if so.
Thank you! You can swivel it but to go completely 180 I had to lift the table off the mount for a sec.
@@TalonSei Thx!!!!
Very cool. What's the maximum number of people it can comfortably sleep?
Easily 3
You must have gotten a solid discount to promote their products :) otherwise is hard to justify most of their stuff. For instance $399 (2-3 weeks leading time) + shipping just for bedding sheets while you can get 2 crip sheets and 2 extra large king size pillow from Amazon that fits perfect for $49 for next day delivery 😀😃😉
Love the mods! Did you upgrade the mosquito netting while you were at it! That was the only quality issue I noted in looking into this model.
All new bug nets for 23 and they are great
I have several important questions. does your tv connect easily to the furrion bluetooth speaker or is there any other way you have set it up for sound? will a 37" or larger tv fit up there in overhead shelf? Lastly, did Canyon sell you the TV or did you bring them your own and just have them install the hanging hardware and power to it? im super curious. that setup is seriously next level and I am definitely going to do the same in my Storyteller when I get it.
I haven’t checked if I can connect it to a speaker yet. There’s definitely a way to do it tho. Jason at canyon had a bar on his, the TV came from them. Not sure if a 37 would fit depends on how tall it is
CAV has you to thank for all the money I'd just spent. As a new 2023 classic owner, do you think the clima shades are a significant upgrade over the stock window coverings?
They definitely are, mainly because they stay in place and you don’t have to store them.
That CAVAN bamboo cutting board is stained. that’s cross contamination?
Where did you source the underbed zippered storage pouches? I looked on CA Vans and the only item they have are nets. I would like to get the 3 per size zippered pouches. Thanks and nice build.
They will be on canyons website this Saturday!
@@TalonSei Excellent! Thanks for the update and confirmation. I am pumped about starting my build. I just picked up one of the last 2023 STO Class Mode 4x4 in pebble grey. Appreciate all the reviews and research you have done with your build.
What is the weight this motorhome? I’m only asking to see if I could drive it on a car license in the UK
Are you going to do the slide out extension and rear awning mod that was in last vid ...... and if not why not as that looked an awesome mod .......
Definitely an awesome setup however I rarely hang out at my van with the doors wide open. As wild as this interior build out seems, I still like the simplicity of the garage storage area.
Hey Talon, what is the length of your van? Do you have problems at some national parks with the length?
It’s a 144. No issues whatsoever
The umbrella is to ppl in
I took a shot of tequila every time you said canyon adventure vans, send help am in hospital. jokes aside, everything seems thought out just a bit of work to get each feature usable when you need it.
Are you now unable to remove the Inhabit mat from the garage due to GSS sitting on top of it?
Yes, the GSS is easy to move tho if you really need to pull the back mat out.
do you think this van as more room and storage then you other van?
Yup
Did I miss it. Are you not running solar?
90watt panel on the roof
