Palm trees are my jam! Been doing them for about 3 years....not happy with any so I keep doing it again. (I have one on the go at.)...I guess I like one of them as I have one framed in my bathroom. I always love to watch tutorials. Thanks for that.
I'm not as fond of abstract painting, but on the other hand, I do appreciate it. I like more realism in a painting. I did your other beach/palm tree tutorial for a birthday card and I really loved it. I think that was my third try at one of your tutorials. Thanks so much for all you do Ellen. 😊💕
I'm not so fond of the abstract painting because I always want to add more detail and make things more complicated. Lol.this looks fun, though and great practice for mixing colors.Thanks Ellen 😊

Lovely tutorial! I wish you could’ve moved the tubes away so we got the whole mixing palette in the frame, but still loved it.

Just a note...the tree is a palm. The leaves are called fronds! Pretty!
Yes, I like this type of video. I love trees. Is that brush the same as a dagger brush? In parts of London we have a few of these trees, so would be fun to paint them. Though they don't have coconuts

It’s a color by Daniel Smith. It’s a shadowish color.
It’s Neutral Tint. Really dark brown. You could mix your darkest brown with some black.
