Hi Hanna, Thank you for sharing your experience....loved it... Am also coming to York University for post-graduation.... But really stressed about accommodation, didn't got the on-campus, could you please share your experience or tips on off-campus accommodation
Social life was great at York. I would say if you commute, you have to make an effort to talk to people. In terms of food, there are lots of options available at York Lanes.
Graduating this year (2022), Got accepted for Business major. Being completely unbiased; How is the environment at YorkU and is it really worth all the money?
Hey! So in terms of the academic environment I found it to be quite welcoming and helpful. The profs really make an effort to get to know you. In terms of social environment I would say if you commute, you have to put in effort to make friends. A lot of people go to class and then go home after but if you join clubs or talk to people in your class, you will find your group. Hope that helps!
@@hanaa3723 Thanks that really does help. I'm also coming in on as a Track & Field recruit? Im not sure if your familiar with the coaching staff there or not. But how would you say the attitude of the staff is towards students? Like do they all have that school spirit to push their students to become better?
@@pinchtrap8695 Hey so I honestly was never involved in sports during undergrad, so I can’t speak to that. I did work closely with many university staff members and I found them to be very supportive of my goals.
Hi! Just wondering and you don't have to answer if you're uncomfortable, but how long did it take you to commute from home to York Univeristy? I live 20-30 minutes away from York University and I'm commuting here to York since it's cheaper option for me. Also, by commuting, does it affect your overall university experience? Did you find it hard to make friends when commuting? Thank you.
I want to go to York to! I’m in grade 11 Currently. But I want to know if it’s hard getting in? I want to take the law and society program and the requirements for English and five other A level or mixed courses! And it says the average requirement is mid to high 70s. But I want to know if it’s hard getting into York! What was your average and what’s the program your taking!
Hi Silena! I don’t quite remember my high school average as that was a while ago. I think really it depends on what your GPA currently is. If it’s above or at a high 70, it should not be too difficult for you to get in. Likewise, if it is lower than a 70, it may be more difficult to be admitted. Also, I was in the Health Studies program.
Hey, I’m in grade 12 and I have applied to got into the Law and Society program. To start, my average was maybe around 90? I had a 90 in English, the course requirement, as for the other mixed courses I had around 90’s and low 80’s. Despite it all, York accepted me very fast and I think they accept quickly in general, to add on, anything above 75 would allow you to get in, and anything above that you’ll be set. As long as you are above the average of the program requirement you’ll be fine. Good luck!
Love these kind of videos!! Super informative!! Keep up the hard work:) -Kelsey
Thank you so much!
Go BFF 😍😍 Can’t wait for your next video!
