    The star/sky shot at the end was AMAZING as was the follow-me-drown footage. More, please!

    Josh, the Time elapse at the end is perfect , great! Just love the unpolluted night sky in the desert. Very much liking these vids as I have done miles of sections on the Mojave Road but have never done the whole trail as a 3 day one shot trip....Bucket List.

      Thank you for watching Joe. If you listen closely at the end of Day 1, we were talking about how to do this show we did on Day 2.
      I too love the stars out there. I was surprised by how much light pollution we were getting from Vegas.
      I want to go out there one time and do a long time-lapse of the sky. I am bummed I didn't do it while the comet flew by.

    The pile of rocks on the side of the road are rock cairns and helps to indicate the route. When traveling west to east, , the rock cairns will always be on the left.
    Great video.

    Great video, thanks for putting together. Can you possibly make a video with trail suggestions for day trips that can be done during the winter within driving distance from LA? I don't want to do snow wheeling, but a lot of the fun trails appear to either be to far for a day trip, or at elevations with snow.

      That's a good idea. It takes a good amount of time to put those videos together, but I will work on it. I will do one for easy to moderate trails then all trails.

      Hit up Cruthers Canyon

    • @Trailsoffroad
      @Trailsoffroad  3 роки тому

      Easily the highlight of day 2. As Josh said hit up Cruthers Canyon, also Picture Canyon at the end. When you get close to picture canyon explore the full area as this was one of the main outpost for the Native Americans before starting this leg of the trip.

    Glad they filled in that river crossing. After about the 3rd time crossing it you get tired of airing your truck out because of wet carpet, and the stress of drowning out your alternator. Looks like a decent depth know.

    How is the gas situation? Are there turnouts to grab gas if needed?

    • @Trailsoffroad
      @Trailsoffroad  2 роки тому

      Only one area that has gas and that is Baker. And that is about a 25 mile drive via pavement to get to. It is best to bring extra fuel.

    This track really isn’t that big of a deal. I’ve run it in a stock 2006 Land Cruiser, a stock 1980 Land Cruiser and a stock 2015 4Runner a dozen times. No big challenge for any truck. Hell, I’ve seen stock Subaru’s on it.
    Take the side roads and stay off the main road. Less people, less idiots, and more challenging.
    They cleaned up the mailbox and the frog garden.

    • @Trailsoffroad
      @Trailsoffroad  3 роки тому

      Yeah the trail has changed a lot over the years. And you are right, if you want something harder, you can drive the old road or the side paths. Post of some trip reports of your trips on our website with photos. We would love to see them. The link to the trail page is in the video description above.
