- Even though Benelli calls the TRK251 a ‘Young Adventure Motorcycle,’ we have serious doubts regarding its adventure capabilities. It doesn’t boast of any adventure cred, doesn’t have the right hardware and is at best a city slicker. Then why the facade? And is it any good?

Yezdi seems to have hit the sweet spot with their adv in this segment, everything else seems to be lacklustre now. Hope you guys do a full review of the new Yezdi bikes soon.

@@niranjanbojakumar1443 Jawa was too short for most riders. That's not the case with Yezdi. Anyways it'll depend on the engine quality.
It depends. In terms of cost, yeah, Yezdi seems to be in a good position. But as of now, the BMW G310 GS is the actually most adventure ready bike in the 200-400cc segment.
What.... KTM 390 seems the vfm and has the best set features IMHO. Need advice

I am not sure why is it being compared to the Himalayan or Adventures of KTM. The only straight competition and whatever category you may like to call it is CB200X. They are in a group that's all. Spare the true adventurers.
As a beginner I love this bike and benelli will also have the upper hand above all adv's

Any specific reason that Yezdi detail reviews are not on Autocar, PD, zigwheel etc🤔. I am seeing new Yezdi road test on smaller channel already..

Prime impressioni a caldo
Oggi ho ritirato presso la concessionaria MOTO34 di Tricesimo (Udine) la mia nuova TRK 251. Una moto che non mi ha deluso e ha rispettato le mie aspettative.
Ringrazio Benelli perché questa moto ha un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
Ringrazio la concessionaria MOTO34 perché mi hanno trattato con professionalità e gentilezza cercando di accontentare ogni mia richiesta.
Esteticamente la moto è più bella della sorellona 502, risulta meno tozza e più equilibrata nelle linee. Il peso a secco di 150 kg e 171 kg in ordine di marcia è un bel vantaggio perché in ogni situazione la moto è ben bilanciata, leggera e facile da manovrare.
Pilota e passeggero hanno due belle porzioni di sella che permettono viaggi anche a medio raggio. Buona la triangolazione sella,pedane, manubrio per nulla caricate in avanti, permettono una guida rilassata con la schiena dritta. La sella permette anche piccoli movimenti avanti e indietro. L'altezza della è di 82 cm, e la zona sella serbatoio è molto stretta e permette ad uno come me,alto 1,70 di toccare con entrambi i piedi a terra.
Il motore è la parte divertente, non delude mai pur essendo un 250 cc. Prodotto dalla Benelli ha molte similitudini, per non dire parentele con il mono 250 KTM di qualche anno fa. La potenza di 25.6 CV a 9000 giri è sempre più che sufficiente a toglierti da ogni impiccio. Va detto che, come tutti i mono vibra. Le vibrazioni ci sono ma mai fastidiose da farti addormentate le mani o i piedi. Invece devo dire ottima la tonalità di scarico, appagante.
Il cambio è un po' legnoso negli innesti, specie tra prima e seconda marcia ma credo che col tempo migliorerà. Prime marce corte e sesta marcia da tiro permettono al piccolo mono di raggiungere i 130 km/h anche in coppia.
Frizione a cavo, morbidissima.
Freni nuovi di pacca, vanno un po' strizzati ma fanno il loro mestiere, specie se li si aiuta con il cambio. Assetto molto buono e sospensioni ben tarate permettono di digerire ogni buca e al tempo stesso incollare la moto alla strada.
Una volta prese le misure la TRK diventa una piccole tourer sulle extra urbane dove trotterella a 80 km/h consumando il 2%, una ottima alternativa allo scooter in città e una motard nelle rotatorie. In autostrada ci va ma non è il suo terreno ideale. Fino a 110 km/h si può anche viaggiare, oltre i 130 il motore è decisamente al limite. Meglio le statali e le panoramiche di montagna. Protezione aerodinamica soddisfacente. Ottime tutta la illuminazione a led, essenziale ma sempre chiaro e leggibile il piccolo cruscotto LCD. Capacità di carico buona, oltre al bauletto ci si può montare un set di valige laterali e se applicati i ferri del paramotore appendere delle borse a tema. Serbatoio da 17 litri unito a consumi nell'ordine dei 25-30 km a litro le regalano una autonomia di almeno 400 km.
Tagliandi: il primo a 1000 km poi ogni 6000 km. In quello dei 6000 è previsto un tagliando veloce che comprende la sola sostituzione dell'olio e filtro olio oltre ai soliti controlli. Nel successivo tagliando si controlla anche il filtro aria, pastiglie freno, etc. Costo tagliandi circa 90 euro. Bollo 25 euro.
Direi che per 4000 euro di moto chiavi in mano è veramente una ottima alternativa allo scooter, di sicuro risultata più divertente e appagante nella guida. Oggi ho percorso i primi 200 km e mi ritengo ampiamente soddisfatto della Benelli TRK 251. Una moto forse sottostimata in Italia dove si è abituati a guidare mezzi ricchi di cavalleria ma che di certo a chi vorrà guidarne una non resterà deluso. Per ora è tutto.
Serve anche per mulatiere. Ho fatto Lessinia, e Marcesine, senza problemi di sorta. Obviamente gommata per quei percorsi. Io credo che è una moto che serve quasi ogni percorso. Ho fatto due volte Roma Padova con estremo piacere a 90kmh. La mia ha un parabrezza di 60 cm e valigie. E si una moto per avventura. Non enduro, ma di assolutamente per viaggiare per strade di ogni tipo e anche per mulattiere.
Non per sentieri perche i sentieri non sono strade e per quella roba specialistica servono moto enduro propriamente dette, e tanta esperienza che pochi hanno.
Nulla da invidiare ai bidoni che circolano in giro, includendo la 502

Apart from looks and engine there's nothing to admire about this, I wish this was priced below 2 lakhs ex showroom considering the below segment level features given.
Honestly i would take the same amount of money and buy a Dominar400 instead, one the best touring bike ❤️ Proven to take terrains, and a good VFM too

Because of classic legends choose to give the bike to geniune customers rather than to reviewers. Last time they did the other way around for JAVA and the reviews wasn't good resulting in poor sales(QC control from JAVA' end and production issues also contributed)

even trk 502 is not adventures its 502x the adventurous one and it is not friendly for short rides
If gear shifting and clutch is not good then it's not worth plus service issue.
This title would suit ktm better with their slightly modified Dukes

Why are indian reviewers so negative about benelli? You are not objective. I have seen many revies from european and south american riders, they all are very content with this motorbike. All the negatives you are telling about are not that bad. Your comparasion ist absolutly unfair. Himalayan and KTM 250 ADV are for totally different purpuses. This is a long distance touring bike which you can also ride on light offroad tracks. It's not an enduro or multy sports bike.

Waste of money if you are buying it for the purpose of adv travel.
And to be used as a street bike it's not worth the cost, power on tap too less , other street bikes have better pot hole absorption capability ..so comfort wise too its no game.

One of the most disappointing bike by Benelli. All reviews speak the same about the bike. The Benelli team should go through all and make a conscious effort and a decision to pull such product out of the market and stick to it’s benchmark standards.
