I have every single platinum relic in the crash series except for OG nitro fueled, and have to say crash bash 200% broke me. 201% is the real completion btw.
Exactly. "Crash 5" early idea being scrapped is nothing shocking.
Crash Wrath Of Cortex used to be Crash Bandicoot Worlds and Crash Twinsanity used to be Crash Unlimited.
Both 2 completely different games and yet they came out.
So its EXACT same thing here.

It's not the exact same thing. Crash 5 was only an internal pitch that didn't get picked up. Not a rejigging of an existing project

First couple maybe simple enough, but dont let that get to your head. It did to me the first time I was playing this game many years back.
I got humbled real quick. Its SO easy to make a mistake or even game screw you in one bs way or another.
If you dont look up any hidden crates, then you will be redoing quite a few levels.
A crash bash playthrough would be cool. Although a spyro trilogy playthrough could also be fun?
Yeah I wouldn’t mind seeing some games likes spyro jak and daxter banjo kazooie on this channel

For Crash 4, that is actually spot on. Most people think that you would need crazy skills to do the harder challenges in this game. In reality though, while _some_ skill is definitely needed, if you take time to practice, you'll get progressively better to the point that even the hardest stuff becomes managable.
On a related note, if at a later point you want to give it a go (and you have the PC version), I recommend you give the "Crash 4 N.Hanced" mod a shot. It fixes most of the complaints about the gameplay and completion and makes it a much more enjoyable and relaxed experience (while keeping the fair challenge).

Hey I love your channel! Crash Team Nitro Fueled was one of my favorite remakes that ever happened. Problem is, I sucked so bad at playing it, especially in online. So it was really fun to watch someone get so good at it and grind. It's hard to believe it's been five years, but time flies. I'm glad you get to enjoy what you do and thanks for the videos!
Thanks for the update Lew. For news on Crash 5: Canadian Guy Eh made a great video on what happened, TL;DR it never got past the stages of very early development, but like you say, not to say it won't happen in the future.

I got the Crash 4 platinum a few years back and all I can say is goodluck with the perfect relics, they straight up made me want to just play Wrath of Cortex instead.
If you run out of Crash content, I would strongly recommend playing some of the fan games. There's some really damn good ones out there. I'll give you my top 5 here for a start:
- Back in Time: Looks and plays like the PS1 trilogy, but with a lot of new ideas added in too. Features crystals, gems, relics, flashback tapes and more + a 2D level editor. Basically the ultimate Crash fan game
- Bridges: like an HD version of the PS1 trilogy style, featuring two bridge levels. A short but really good fan game.
- N.Tense Adventure: A beautifully animated cartoon style 2D Crash game. There's two demos available, each with 3 levels with crystals, gems and some really challenging relics
- Advance: A fangame in the style of the GBA games. Looks amazing and plays incredibly well. Also has the usual cystals, gems and relics
- Crash Bash Live: A modern reimagining of Crash Bash
If you want to see more, Square Eyed Jak has a video going over a bunch of other fan games (including N.Tense Adventure and Crash Bash Live, but not any of the others I mentioned IIRC). But I'd recommend looking into those 5 I mentioned first before going that far deep in XD
The new Crash 4 mod (N. Hanced) that recently dropped is also great, it removes a whole load of unnecessary features from the game like the Crash sections of alternate levels, and adds a new, harder tier of relics known as Master, which are designed to almost mirror WR runs. That OG CTR mod that allows online play for the game on PC would also be worth a look, there's definitely still people playing it and most people who do play it are actually really skilled due to how most "top players" in the CTR community already knew about its existence.
Would you consider replaying or trying out Spyro?
Honestly, no matter what topic/game you’ll decide to do a video on I’ll watch them. You’re one of my favourite youtubers if not the favourite. 3:26 I would say Crash 4 is the Crash where you need skill the most and thats why people complained, you need to be quick and precise for the platinums and methodical and consistent for the Nsane relics.
I just completed original Crash Bandicoot where you need not to die to get all the gems, and it wasn't that difficult even with the game's more strict airborne mechanics.
Crash 4 Dev relic series would be crazy 🤪 bu fun to watch for sure

Good stuff! I can see needing a break from getting all the Relics! Yeah, I think there was misinformation regarding Crash 5. It is inevitable, but just a matter of "when". Crash 4 did pretty well, so I think there is definitely still demand for an eventual Crash 5 whenever they decide to make one.
Honestly think it'd be fun to see the GBA relics, it's probably hard to get gameplay for but the compressed screen size and having to dash through the levels would be fun to see
I love when you do a series of these games, and others. The relic stuff was fun to watch. I havent played a crash game since Warped on PS2.
I think what you should do for your Crash channel is to try out different fan made Crash Bandicoot games or play a moded Crash Bandicoot game. I think that Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time has a mod where it makes collecting things a lot easier. In terms of more Crash Bandicoot content, I definitely want to see you stream more of CTRacing and CTRumble. There’s a couple of trophies I had to get in Crash Team Rumble, but I need the time to do so. I hope you be able to beat the Dev Time Trials in Crash 4.
I have loved the videos. I cannot wait for the 106% grind but take some time for yourself as well as looking at old Crash games and going for the grind on those before relic videos. Maybe try Crash Bash 200% or as I’ve seen with some comments, a Spyro review (although that is just trophy hunting as no major relic stuff etc)
Great vid bro, I would do the rest of Crash 4 fully complete, then do Bash fully complete with plats. and WOC fully complete with plat. relics in the future. Would love to see that!

Fun idea: mask tier list. Every mask from the series, including the obscure ones like the megamix mania mask I forget the name of.
Crash Twinsanity was originally too similar to the Ratchet and Clank games where you travel from planet to planet. Maybe go over early concepts of Crash games
I know this is more of a Crash channel, but I'd recommend the Spyro Reignited Trilogy platinum trophies if you'd wanna do that
Also, side note, that whole "Crash 5 is cancelled" garbage, yeah, that's just terrible clickbait journalism that gives false info if anything. Yeah, it's possible some game ideas and concepts got scrapped, not to mention all the studios going to work on COD and Toys For Bob becoming an indie studio didn't help I realize, but there's no way Activision and Microsoft won't release another game considering how popular Crash has been since his 2017 return in the N Sane Trilogy

Dev relics on NST sounds like an easier challenge than in crash 4, I could do them but I'm nowhere near close to crash 4 devs
Has Lewis checked out that Crash Bandicoot Fan Game Back In Time at all? It's got a level maker and a bunch of pre built levels as well, might be some content worth exploring for some cursed and hard fan levels.

That’s understandable Lewis. But for My Update, I had not only doing Reviews on Crash Bandicoot & Spyro Characters, But I also do Music from another UA-cam group which is the Music Tutorial group cause I wanted to do something new for My channel.

lol its kinda funny you uploaded this today as toys for bob announced that they cancelled crash 5 that they were loosely working on as well today. Not trying to tell you what to do here, but have you ever seen the modded crash bandicoot 2 original levels from creators like Airummu and so on? they look really intense and I would love to see you try some of them since your pretty good at crash Edit to add: i worte this before you got to the part addressing crash 5 so ignore that part lol
I think you should play other 3d plataformers too.

If you ever want something casual to stream if you're burnt out from Crash 4 or any other game, remember that CTR Online exists (preferably private lobbies due to matchmaking being barely playable most of the time), so you could invite some viewers in and have some fun in battle mode, itemless races, or just messing around. If you want to just crack on with 106%-ing Crash 4 then that's completely fine, this is just a reminder of how repayable CTR:NF can be.
Crash 4 could take for ever glad you dying trying which i find satisfying gamers becoming good at it and got tited all of those perfect gameplay which bores me a lot and i respect your strongest efforts. Fun fact caddicarus took him 68 hours to 106 complete the game that's how far a normal gamer spent time for completing it.
You could always do Crash team rumble that should definitely keep you busy till Crash 5
Maybe you could look into some fan games or mods.
I mentioned one for It’s About Time! on your last video, so maybe that could be a starting point.

Have you ever thought about doing line casual speedruns of any of the crash games like Ctr story mode or crash 1 any %

you brought up that series where you reviewed some Crash games, and I'd really like to see you review the DS version of Mind of Mutant; I've heard quite a few times that that game is even worse than Crash Boom Bang, so uuh yea, would be interested in a video on it lol
Just a thought why dont you do games that have simular vibes to crash like Spyro and kao the kangaroo and bang and Kazooie etc that way when your feeling abit burnt out by crash you can add something different into mix along side it

Crash 5 is inevitable, the entire series since it's revival due to the Remasters and the new game Crash 4 has sold really well, out beating a bunch of mainline Sonic games and Crash 4 was more profitable than the Call of Duty released the same year it Premiered Black Ops Cold War as revealed during a Activision Blizzard earnings call, if that doesn't say Crash 5 is inevitable I got nothing else to add, the companies follow the money cause money is good.
I hope you do try the dev times in Crash 4 at some point, maybe a year or so from now, because you can definitely do them. You just have to master the slide spin and take lots of breaks not to wear out your thumbs and your sanity.

i'd say you could skip bash relics given they aren't time based. also anyone who heard yes THAT VERSION of crash 5 was cancelled. meaning the version the art team was working on before their contract was not renewed is not happening. that said i'm sure they have a new team of artist right now, and are probably working on a new crash 5. i'd like to say it'd be out before 2030, but i'm not holding faith to much. also just go watch canadia guy eh! new video if you want more context.

Why don't you play other platformers on this channel like Jak, Ratchet etc? It could be a good way to space out the Crash content. It could also be good for scripted reviews etc.
