you're right...there's not a lot to talk about for W+. but there's also not a lot to get excited about. looking at the hobby overall, there's plenty of other approaches to take and things to explore, and until they make the W+ we expect and want - not the one we have, it's best to revisit it infrequently. and for all the previous weeks, thank you for your service.

Thanks Paul! I think the new paints were oversold in the marketing material. I was expecting a new type of paint, not just new colours. I will try them all though, the light grey especially looks great. I’m sad that Canoptek Armourshade Gloss is away. That was very useful.

@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist painting is a good shout, I took some of my own advice and painting the Umbral Six Vindicare and loved it, but it showed how weak my painting skills were! Content on that (esp edge highlights) would be great! I’ve started delving into the Vault on your recommendation. Some good stuff in there but a lot of stuff doesn’t seem to load, I wondered if you found the same?
For sure, I’ll be covering a wide range of stuff, plus hopefully improving a bit myself. I’d love to see your Vindicare! I’ve got lots of HH stuff to work on, plus some bigger projects. I haven’t had anything in the Vault not load, although some stuff is really slow even on a good connection.
I think you're right, being negative all the time does invite a lot of un-wanted stress into life. So from a mental health viewpoint, I'm glad you're taking that step to back away from the weekly videos. That said, I do think your reviews were pretty fair and balanced and I would be glad to see something like a WH+ half-year or year in review kind of thing. On the subject of your painting videos, I do like your way-of-the-brush for lack of a better term coming to mind atm. A lot of the bigger channels in this hobby feel like I'm watching an artist reveal their newest work, whereas your style in painting, video making, and manner of speaking feel like something between "bro, digging out the models for the nightly hobby session" and "local dad does painting with the fam." and I enjoy those vibes.

It was best for me to step back from the weekly ones. I appreciate the kind words on the videos. I'm going from the point of view that most people in the hobby are just wanting painted miniatures but it sometimes seems quite daunting to start. If there's a guy with dodgy hands and bad eyesight that can produce ok minis, maybe it isn't so hard after all. I've tried doing the UA-camr voice and even that came out monotone!!

I did have a bit in about the fan animations, but I took it out to preserve my sanity! I do hope it thrives, the mini made up for a lot of my gripes over the year! 🤣 I watched the Play On Tabletop HH batrep and it was very entertaining. The assassin will be started any day now! I’m fine with painting the actual assassin, it’s the statue that is giving me the fear.

Fair play on moving on from these... I for one am looking forward to what you put in its place... You have been fair and balanced with all of this... Which in a way has hurt your channel growth. But being true to yourself is by far the most important thing. Keep doing what you doing... And if this version of plastic car I is too expensive to justify to the wife you can always look at other systems. My wife was quite impressed by the £53 I spend on the 8th army starter set from bolt action, asking me what the difference was and why it was so much cheaper.

I think it'll be a good evolution for your channel to change focus. Glad the wh community team saw our constructive criticism as that is how everyone grows. I like your content and will be sticking around. Maybe a six month warhammer plus update or something. Glad you will still be reviewing the animations after all the episodes are out. I like to think I take a balanced view on things. I’ve enjoyed Warhammer plus, yes it could have been better but overall I’ve generally been pleased with it. It does annoy me that the old rules are stripped out of the Vault though. But I can get over it!

In the Armouring A Space Marine animation they glow, so I don’t see why not. It certainly works when the only colour in Angels Of Death is red. I personally don’t paint glowing lenses, but i’m not against it.

I love your videos but my only complaint is that the audio is very low. I always have to crank up the volume to be able to hear. Other than that I love your content mate :D
Good on you bud for sticking to your guns. Other channels continue to churn out content they clearly don't enjoy making just to keep up the clicks. Not a bold statement but I think now that the models have been received for the first year, a lot of people will be unsubbing. Said in the past, I'll be one of them. We def got short changed on this one. Look forward to your future content.

It’ll be a lot better for me to push myself to produce better videos now. I’m going to be controversial and state that I think I’ll resub. Actually getting the model changed things for me, it finally felt like value, since I had also used every voucher we got too. My suspicions look like being correct though - it looks like we won’t be getting one of each show a week until much closer to resub time, which seems calculated.
Your right. It has sadly been a complete disappointment. I have cancelled my second year subscription. Don’t waste your money. Absolute waste of time, they had the chance to improve but it has still been very poor
It hasn’t hit the promised ‘one of each show a week’ quota yet. It was getting boring saying the same things each week and I’m really glad I’ve stopped. The models for year 2 are nice, but not really my cup of tea.

That’s a good idea, since most who subbed would be after the model anyway. It’ll be fine when there’s one show a week, but that has been promised for a while. I hope they introduce a few new shows soon too, but Disney + it isn’t!

How do you think, should the eye lenses of space marine helmet glow or not?

The only reason I signed up for it was, the damn assassin mini. It's still cheaper than ebay. The content is severley lacking. Love your channel ;)
