Landmark progress! I admit that I’m curious now how the back will line up with the sides. Closing it up I suspect will be challenging. I think had I embarked on a project like this I would consider the sound almost secondary to actually bringing it back from the state of kindling. This one is definitely a worthy challenge. Nice work. Looking forward to the next installment.

I suspect the back will either seat at an angle or be 6 mm long... depending on how straight the sides are... let's wait.

I just re-watch the back removal on video III of the series and was surprised to remember how different the original binding was.
The binding of the back of not finisehd yet. There are some parts to be glued.
I know you haven't finished, my point is that I think to remember that the binding is L shape not square.
I was really worried that removing the bridge would widen the crack.
Me too. that extra caution below the bridge was mandatory.
