Well, they have different categories of prisons because they don't waste money on high security for folks that will not cause trouble and will cooperate. Most of the Watergate prisoners (particular the men that worked directly for Nixon) ended up in the "county club" places with tennis courts, etc. The thing is that a tennis court can be set up and maintained for the cost of one guard for a year. OTOH, G. Gordon Liddy did some hard time but that cost the system a lot because he kept suing the prison officials.

There is a legal test for contempt of congress. The congressional subpeona must serve a legitimate legislative purpose. The J6 committee was investigating an attempted insurrection and potential criminal actions of a former president. The request for the Hur tapes made to Garland serves no legitimate purpose as the committee was already provided a certified transcript of the recordings.
There’s so much propaganda and lies to the people of this country, it’s best to fact check… and accept facts. Not too many alternative facts are actually factual. People’s opinions are not factual either.
