I got 2 full odd shiny pokemon randomly. The first was on my original playthrough it was shiny froslass, then in a violet steel type run, I found a shiny gible.
I was in my Pokémon violet healing my Pokémon, when I saw a group of squawkabilly's. I decided to catch one since I didn't have one. I thought the one with the pink hair was just gender difference because I saw squawkabilly for the first time. It was a shiny and now I have him on my team :)))
That was me with electrode. I just wanted one tk fill my Pokédex and I’m new to Pokémon so I saw a blue electrode and I just thought it was normal or just a gender diff so I caught it and had it in my boxes for weeks until someone in the comments said I had a shiny 😭
Also I’m case anyone didn’t realize, when you are date skipping in your system settings, when you are done playing, reset your clock back to whatever day it is save your game and continue the next day. Or if you want to take a break on whatever outbreak you are doing and get some sleep, save your game then close the game and set your system clock back a day that way when you start it back up the next day, the save file date matches and you don’t have reset outbreaks
This is my second time playing the game and I’m just learning sandwiches “run out of time” 😭 here I’m scaling through wondering why nothing is happening haha
If you want to shiny hunt via breeding, use the setup I use: 1.) Breed with a different language ditto 2.) Eat an egg power lvl 2 sandwich(it's a banana sandwich) 3.) Carry a Talonflame with the Flash Fire ability. That ability halfs the time it takes to hatch eggs, combo that with the egg power sandwich, you're hatching eggs within a minute. You don't even need the shiny charm for this to be fast. I already have 2 shiny Mareeps and a shiny Noibat, and I just started doing this 2 days ago. Happy hunting everyone!
You don't even need to know whatever other language you'd use for "foreign" file. I have a save for Shield that was set to Japanese and my Japanese knowledge is very limited. Just knowing the game itself helps. You don't even need two Switches for this, as you can access Pokemon in Home that came from other profiles

I just found a game breaking glitch after midnight and Tera crystals and mass outbreaks respawn new ones farm as many herba mysticas as possible do not save close game and re open and the Tera battles you just fought will be back but you still have all the herba mystica from the previous run, then go back and do it again , I hit a galile the dropped a bitter and sweet 3 times in a row. No Kapp
@PhillyBeatzU I'm not sure but it does. Have you noticed if you save your game before using herba mystica and come back after using the sandwhich the herba mystica is gone same thing here. If you earn herbas they stay in inventory no matter if it's saved or not just like if you use them they are gone even though you saved before you made sandwhich. Hope this makes some sense

Personally I believe that Shiny pokemon should stay rare. When you throw in the sandwiches and the despawning tactics I'd say it makes it too easy. The shiny charm, masuda method and outbreaks are the most rewarding I'd say.
That has many combos, but a simple one is Zote charm + Grubberfly elegy + unbreakable strength + fury of the fallen Gives you a ranged attack that is boosted by fury of the fallen, since you are technically at max health at 1.
I’ve shiny hunted an axew three different times now each of them not find not one shiny ima about to give up on This game because this is sum bullsh** u do 20 Tera raids just to get herbas but then it still only lowers it down to 1-1000 like dose it look like u guys spawn a 1000 Pokémon in one area so idk how other people find them but I’m done
So pressing home for pause for sandwich only works solo, I tested it out. just a heads up :)

You didn't mention the Masuda method but that makes sense. To do it on your own, you need two Switches and to be pretty much bilingual.
I have two Switches, both versions and enough knowledge of Spanish to play the game in Spanish so that's my go-to shiny hunt method.

today i caught a shiny drifloon and like, shinys in scarlet seem to enjoy appearing once your doing tera raids, but never appearing in the tera raids

They’re kinda like the Pokémon version of albino animals. Nothing special about them, just the color and rarity.
They’re fun to collect. Searching for your favorite Pokémon in shiny form gives you another goal beyond just completing the Pokédex.
Well given that its a rare pokemon to get people like to collect them. They are not stronger in any way but they are unique
