Puncture repair kit would also come in handy
Exactly, as I was about to add the need for a puncture repair kit, spare innertube and inflator or small hand pump.
Best - Michael
with co2 cartridges for quick emergency inflation
You do nice work.. if you have two tires I would bring spoons so you could take the tire off the rim and change the tube if you have tubeless tires definitely bring a plug kit and glue.. / some type of air pump
@@petem6291 this
Need to add a pouch for Smudo treats.
I would add a rag of some kind, perhaps a bandana. You always want something to wipe your hands with or lay parts on or clean off things with. Plus it takes hardly any space.
Or just a few latex gloves
Ingo for latex (silicone?) gloves AND a rag. Gloves for your hands, rag to clean up the rest.
@@racastro62 yeah good point. (Also I meant nitrile but couldn't remember the word!)
OK. You can officially be named "the Leonardo of DIY". Pure pleasure to watch you work.
What a compliment ❤️
More like Donatello, he was the inventor of the team.
@@PikkaBird I meant Leonardo Da Vinci. Not the mutant turtles.....:)
@@maximflor I know, I just had to go there... ;-D Anyway, it always bothered me that Master Splinter didn't swap the names of Leo and Don, but I suppose Don's affinities didn't show themselves until way after he named them.
@@PikkaBird 😏
This is so well executed and brilliantly designed. The LOXX button is the star of this video!!! Love the way the tool kit rotates to form saddlebags. The aesthetic of the canvas and brown leather is just lovely. The offset tools to put in the snaps are brilliant - are those Weaver's?
The leather is from weaver and they have all the snaps and even the cool LOXX buttons in stock :) I am happy you like the design :)
@@laurakampf Laura, I work for Prym (specifically for the Fashion division) and you should be one of our endorser for all our snaps and fasteners
Canvas and leather is just excellent to match!! Also that sewing machine is SUCH a champ.
Feels illegal to have something so perfect and useful and beautiful, all in one.
Great job! For someone who wasn't that confident in her sewing skills or leatherwork not long ago, this is really super, Laura. Love it!
I love how it can turn sideway.
At first when I saw you use one snap on the body of the bike to secure the bag i thought "I would probably use two to keep it from pivoting" and then you un-rolled the bag and swiveled it so it stays open on the side of the bike!! So cool!! Genius! Well done! Sweet project!
Cheers Laura and thanks for sharing another awesome video. Beautiful work - I would also add a spare headlamp bulb to the roll. Happy Sunday! :D
Spare bulb, good idea!
It’s in there :)
@@laurakampf - you think of everything ;)
Your excitement and enthusiasm for your projects makes watching you create them enjoyable no matter what you design. I also love the music that plays as you work. You have a knack for choosing it. I rarely say that cuz most soundtracks on UA-cam are too loud or too annoying, and so distracting. I enjoy watching you work, and love your reactions to your creations. Looking forward to more of your ideas/videos
Spare clutch and brake cable! Tire iron, puncture repair and spare inner tubes. Maybe a chain master link. Also tape, and a test light or multimeter can be useful.
Love the tool roll!
A small roll of duc tape may be a roll electric tape , tube repair kit .love the videos thank care.
Not that I'd wish your motorcycle to break down, but it would be cool to see it in action, because it not only looks great, but also super practical.
You are incredibly creative. I wish I’d find the video where you finished the camper. Last I saw you worked on the floor and then I found nothing more.
Many of us can make things, but only a few have the capacity to create and make them, and on top of that, recycling! I admire you and see you from Argentina
I absolutely love this design. Great job Laura! You should definitely turn this into a product. 👍
You need a knipex parallel jaws pliers in there ! It's amazing !
- it will replace a complete set of spanners, so very handy when space is limited
- it has a ton of crushing force, handy if needed
- the parallel sides don't leave marks on the stuff you're holding
-a plier is always handy to have
You beat me too it! Great great pliers!
Only thing I would add is a small "pencil" style flashlight and tuck it in with the bits for the screwdriver. Something that runs on 1 or 2 AAA or AA batteries that would help you see if its dark when you are dealing with a breakdown but small enough to hold with your teeth if you need both hands free. A headband light in with the misc pocket would be a good alternative too.
Good idea!
Another great Laura Kampf video. And that new leather man vise style plyer is an awesome addition. I’m always impressed with your design and workmanship.
Fabulous design for the tool roll. That is very imaginative! Great job!
Wow. The skill. I can’t get one off pockets to look that good. I’ll keep practicing.
Laura you always inspire me to organise better.
That whole bike and leather build, it looks SOOOO utilitarian and useful, yet so much personality into every part, like you shared a piece of your soul into it, and it looks very beautiful (just like Kampf here)
As a motorcyclist I would add some straps to keep it from flopping around or popping open or flying off when you hit that hidden bump or pothole. I lost an entire saddle bag that way once. Otherwise it looks awesome!
7:35
@@violetviolet888 I saw that… still a lot of weight for that snap, I bet a good bump would pop it loose. As a longtime motorcyclist and an engineer I feel it needs more.
Been watching for years. This is one of my favorites!
Great work Laura , congratulations !
Very well thought
When you flipped it and turned it into saddle bags, put a cheek to to cheek on mee .
Loving the series !
Fantastic! Absolutely love how much thought went into the design, especially the attachment, rotation (with pocket aligned to be perfectly accessible!), and personality. I agree with Sidharth below that a patch kit is an essential addition, with maybe a bike hand-pump. I have stopped to help multiple bike repairs that needed only a small hole fixed.
Eventually, we will need a roadtrip video with that bike and maybe a sidecar for Smudo. : )
Love it -- the sewing machine is an underrated maker tool
Now that is such a thing of beauty! You are going to have the coolest ride, it is so you! Such a thoughtful design, genius.
600K!!! Cool stuff, you’ll be up to 700k soon!
Form over function, or function over form? It’s both!!! Well done!
Brain, hands, heart together make the genius of Laura Kampf.
You are an evolving show, thanks as always for sharing your projects.
I always follow you, keep it up. SL
This is awesome! The patina on that in a few years will be so good.
Awesome vid, love the forethought that went into the center retainer holding it on the bike, Thanks for taking the time to make and share!
Outstanding design and workmanship, very impressive.
I love your videos so much.
As a 20+ year biker, I definitely think you need a set of mole grips.
They are so handy and can make a substitute lever if you drop your bike and break something off.
Nice Job! I love the rotating feature.
You could add some bigger zip ties, roll some duct tape around the T-shaped wrench. A magnet sewed somewhere to keep bolts'n'nuts while working. A rag is always handy and tire tools maybe but that's a lot bigger.
The good news, this is EXACTLY what I thought you were building. Looks GREAT.
As fantastic as your fabrication skills are, your design eye is what keeps me watching your videos every week. Such good use of materials and design here wow.
I really appreciate videos you make they're so chilled out and make me want to make things and take my time to do it well.
The way it attaches to the bike, and can unfold in place and rotate to hang down the sides, is really neat!
Nice design! Also, that sowing machine is a tough cookie. 😀👍🏻
Hello from WA state! I love to watch you work and am amazed at the tools you have. I am jealous! I usually care zip ties and duct tape and JB weld and a small tube of grease.
Gotta be one of your best projects. Design, aesthetic, creativity. You really nailed it
Sweet one. Oh you know what. You could put some led strips somewhere on it and a small battery pack inside. Like for work light when you're using the tools somewhere. Make a USB charge port accessible from the outside so you can plug it into the car/motorcycle or whatever. If you make it RGB LEDs too and not just white light, it could also double as a nice fun RGB-light in a tent, camper or whatever if you want something like that some day for a late night party or what not haha :)
Cool tool roll! Really digging the look. A flashlight might be handy.
You make great progress working with textile 👍 Missing the universal fix things items: Zipp Ties and Duct tape 😎
I love your videos but I really love this one because it does 'show and tell' but without telling. Like I was questioning why you only put one locking pin(?) on the roll to motorcycle connection instead of two. And then you explain it without words by showing the functionality of having one connection. You can roll and pivot it to drape it over! That's so smart to show us why.
A tool roll also can always use some work gloves and cable ties... and small emergency hip flask
Especially stainless Steel cable ties (heat proof)
Very nice! Rotating it to be like saddle bags while working is great. Quick access to tools always helps
großartig! Danke für deine tolle Arbeit. Du bist wirklich inspirierend!
I was thinking an adjustable wrench. But the leatherman would probably be able to be used in its place. The button you installed to attach it to the bike, I was thinking to myself, “that’s awesome but I would have installed two so it can’t swivel”. And then you turned it to access the pouch, I’ve decided to never question your process until I see the finished product ever again 😂😊
That sewing machine 🤯🤩 I am totally not interested in Motor Bikes, but I still love your projects.
Thanks for making! What a pleasure to see how much fun you got with making such easy but straight and funktional Toolcarrier. The Zoom at the end of the video was crasy, it was like: HELLO, are you there!? 😊 On TV it feels like you jump out of the TV Panel...🤘😎👍😅
Woooow that was even more amazing than expected from the preview 😍
OMG, LGD sweatshirt, where to start? FIRST the fact that you want to help yourself or OTHERS: top notch. Second, saw the Weaver box: MORE cow, real leather: awesome. Third: Colored clips are WAY awesome (along with your sewing skillset). and finally, and I am certain the YT audience will agree: you put the LK stamp on it. Anyone messing with this bike will have HELL to pay - there will be no where to hide (ha, get it?). Simple, straightforward, but your combination of design, execution and downright "friendliness" is infectious - just smile. In America, if the car breaks, we call AAA (triple A). I cannot imagine the grin on my face if I were stuck by the side of the road and you rolled up...oh lucky day indeed! In short, thank you miss!
Your wonderful manner and your great projects give me joy and trust in the wonferful things we all can do and share and inspire me to wake up early and build something unique in the workshop once again. Thanks so much!
All of you're videos are so great always gives me the motivation to start a project of my own but I need the tools first lol
A genius at work! BRILLIANT!
So many cool design details! The style fits perfectly with the bike.
I would put a belt or a strap when it’s closed cuz I feel like it would rotate while you’re riding your bike.
This is so f...ing beautiful. Love to see the design process.
best part in the series so far !!
This tool roll will outlive all of us, and our bikes.
That was the most tender product placement since chocolate has existed. But great idea and well executed. 😎👍👍👍✔
The aesthetics and functionality of this whole bike are turning out so badass and comforting!
That is fantastic, love the attachment to the bike and the functionality that offers.
love thick canvas like this
This is amazing! This is the kind of stuff I love to make, practical, and beautiful!
praktisch UND schön!! die Farbkombi ist super!!
Danke liebe Karo ❤️
Good choice with the beefy leathemen pliers
Missed you Laura!
Wow that is pure genius!
Omg I loved/love that! So cool having it attached and detachable, utilizing the bike as a workbench of sorts. Your design sensibilities are always the best!
What a beautiful tool bag you have made!
Gott du hast es drauf. Danke für deine Videos. Sehr gut gemacht.
As a leather worker, I was unreasonably happy when I saw that Weaver box!🤗
I would add a good pair of hemostats. If it’s small, and it’s stuck, or it needs to be pulled tight, or held just so?.... they are perfect. Also duct tape and crazy glue can save you a lot of trouble sometimes. I grew up on a farm. Once during harvest, the combine broke and the part couldn’t be there for 2 weeks, ( which was too late) we put the old part back together with duct tape and crazy glue and harvested the crop. Crazy as it sounds, it’s great emergency equipment.🤗🐝❤️
Very good! You always come with great ideas and solutions.
That tool roll came out so cool
I absolutely love this! Good to see a spark plug in there too, gotta love 2 strokes and there hunger for spark plugs! 😁
Laura! This is absolutely bloody brilliant! Bravissimo!! I love motorcycles and I’m a leather artisan so this video blows my mind! I’m your new fan thanks!
Brilliantly designed and so well made.... well done,,
I’m loving this new series of videos!
This is one of your best builds. This is beautifully thought out, designed and constructed.
I was gonna say electrical tape, fuses and some wire, but you're way ahead of me on that. Plus spare lightbulbs which I didn't consider! Another really great project, Laura; it shows that you've put a ton of thought into the tool roll!
Looks like everything that you would need is in that roll to fix your bike. Good job Laura!
Simply, beautifully done!
Excellent design Laura. Compact tool kits are a must for bike owners! Never seen one that looks so awesome you did a great job on it beautifully crafted
Thank you Hannah!
Hello, you’re well equipped. As you’re inviting us to complete the list, I would add some ÇA glue, a little strong adhesive tape, something to measure (measuring tape?) and 3-5 meters of a rope. Those are always in my « survival kit » so I can cover fixes like rubber vulcanisation, emergency clamping, suppress room or noise, etc. Super project as usual, Tchüss !
Nice job Laura,
you need definitely throttle and clutch cable
some zip ties
a lever, like a pipe on one end flattened to fit a wrench(the one for the rear wheel axle nut)
if you want to go "fancy" working gloves and electrical tape
Very nice! That is a beautiful design, Laura! Excellent work!
I love how the pouch is perfectly aligned when the roll is draped across the bike. Very smart design.
Smu-do treats! Smu-do treats! Smu-do treats!
Lovely project! :)
My last couple bikes had small fairings which came in handy for those isolated rain storms and also provides secure dry storage.
Your creative skills are absolutely awesome!
Super job Laura! You are so ingenious and talented!
Love it Laura, what a great wee project ❤️
Hey Laura that’s awesome! I wish I could make one, I’d have all kinds of spots for my candy bars and snacks! Yumm!👍🏼☮️
