The Future Bites is definitely a very different record by Steven Wilson and probably not for a lot of his more Prof oriented fans, but it’s not a bad album. It’s got some great tracks, and some great B sides as well. King Ghost, 12 Things I Forgot, Man of the People, Count of Unease, Eyewitness, and the cover of In Floral Green are great listens. Also, if you have a good pair of headphones or speakers, the Dolby Atmos version of the record sounds amazing. Sometimes the Atmos mixes can be hit or miss, but Steven Wilson really knows what he’s doing.
When it comes to Rush it's really hard to agree on the definitive low point because they've never really recorded an album that lacks in all areas. I think that I mentioned the three main candidates but can we agree on THE one?
@erorufurakku6378 Really those are Danzig at their best. Glenn was wrong to treat those guys like sidemen. They were a strong group on those first four albums.
100% Agree with summer in paradise, and if you think the albums bad, the tour was worse!!! Endless River also 100% Agree. Some of mine were Megadeth - Risk Rolling Stones - Dirty work Metallica - Lulu
Why is there no mention of U2's free album... whatever the F' its named... that was FORCED on you if you owned a 💩 iPhone‼️‼️❓️❓️One of the many reasons that made me permanently ditch Ass... I meant... Apple.
I recently bought the Beach Boys Summer In Paradise CD used for $4. Not that it was worth that much money... 😃 I think that Steven Wilson album is very good!
Strong disagree on Roll The Bones, I think it's their best of their 90s releases, songs like Ghost Of A Chance, Dreamline and Bravado are masterpieces and I still play them often.
Cut the crap may be the worst Clash album, but it is still above average compared to other albums being around in the mid 80's. Some fine songs on it. Same with Rush's Roll the Bones. I like it more than their previous albums.
I actually really like Endless River. The first 10 minutes of it is some damn fine Pink Floyd. If they actually properly recorded it with Rick, then I think it would’ve been something much better. I just take it for what it is; an unfinished Pink Floyd recording that the fans had been asking for for years because they were aware it existed. I think it’s a great album to relax/fall asleep to or to do some studying with. Also, the last track probably could’ve been left off because it doesn’t have much to do with the rest of the album and it’s not particularly good. Side Note: Pink Floyd’s UA-cam channel released a music video for the musical piece that is very nice.
Big Country hired Peter Wolf who produced Starship’s wretched We Built This City to get a hit record. The result was the epic disaster Peace in Our Time. The bands character and sound completely diluted and dull. It took Buffalo Skinners to get me interested again.
Styx: Mr Roboto--it ultimately broke up the band Supertramp: Free As A Bird. Instead of continuing the promising mix of jazz/prog/pop of Brother Where You Bound, the band put out a pretentious synth-pop/Kenny G style jazz album. Because of this, only two more albums, the next nearly a decade later Kansas: Drastic Measures. No violin, the band broke up, nearly no prog. It sounded like a mediocre Foreigner album
Van Halen III is their Love Beach, Hold Your Fire is absolutely the Love Beach of Rush! The production of the album destroys every redeeming quality of those songs and I find it unlistenable! I like Roll the Bones but, there is a production problem there as well. If Steven Wilson would get a chance to remix all of their albums from Hold Your Fire on, they'd probably elevate some of them to the level we expected from a new Rush album. Clockwork Angels falls flat to my ears. I have tried to give it a chance but, I find it noisey and fatiguing to endure straight through in one sitting. Not high on my ranking of Rush albums.
Roll The Bones is a great album. The material during their live set were great. Bravado is one of their worst tunes in my opinion and that's coming from a guy who's gone to 23 live shows starting with Hemispheres.
Agree…have never understood the love for Bravado. It’s bland and goes nowhere. Saw them 14X starting with Signals. Hated how they included Bravado in set list many times.
Elton John - Victim Of Love; Not only did he not write or co-write anything, he didn't play any piano on the album. Queen - Hot Space; We all know about that disaster. Lol Chicago - Hot Streets; First album released after Kath's death, there's plenty wrong with this one, starting with the horrible cover art.
Pop. Low point for me as a collector, I gave this, Zooropa and Achtung many spins. Thankfully they're gone from my collection. Still dig Mysterious Ways though. And Lemon.
I forgot to mention that horrid rap section in the song Roll the Bones. I mean, why not but, it sounds bad
Yeah, not a high point.
I'm just glad to hear some love for Trans.
The more hate Love Beach gets the more fans it makes!

No one says the Division Bell is PFs worst album, they said Momentary Lapse, and now Endless RIver

Danzig 5. I hated the album so much that I quit buying Danzig albums for a long time. The first four were so good. I was so angry.
I never got beyond 4.

Cut The Crap is a $15 record. Discogs has several copies on vinyl for that price.
I kinda like Cut The Crap but a remix would do wonders.
I'll sell my copy for 5 bones.

I remember Trans. Fun listen on headphones
Mr Roboto Styx
Neil Young Everybodys Rockin'
I love Roll The Bones. Including the title track! Yes, it was a bit of a transitional album. So what?
Strong disagree on Roll The Bones, I think it's their best of their 90s releases, songs like Ghost Of A Chance, Dreamline and Bravado are masterpieces and I still play them often.
I generally never listen to any songs on RTB except Ghost of a Chance! Dreamline is good but Ghost is one of their top songs post GUP imo.

Don’t understand the hate for The Endless River. It’s a really cool, atmospheric listen.

I like the album but Geddy is phoning it in on the lazy vocals.

Achtung Baby is great though. Close to their very best album
Achtung Baby is their best album.
Unforgettable fire is their best album
