I had the same issue a few weeks ago with the ants and a more natural approach would be to get a spray bottle, pour 1/4 vinegar, a little bit of dish soap and fill the rest with hot water and spray on the areas they’re coming in through. Your baseboards, where your counter tops meet your walls. And another approach would be to get some boiling water, find the ant holes near your house and pour the boiling water into them. It’ll highly reduce the amount of ants you guys have, while protecting yourself, Bart, fawny and Taika from any harsh chemicals!
It gets rid of the pheromones that the ants leave behind when they come in so it leads all of the other ants right in. Just make sure you let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe it up after.
ants hates salt. try salt as a line of defense inside the house or outside perimeter of the house. or get ant bait and stick them around the perimeter. this will keep them out for several months.

If you're lucky enough to have certain things around you open at that time running a couple errands is helpful as well.

Usually food, so you have to remove what they want. With a little kid it becomes more important to super clean. We just had ants get into our house and they never use to, we started cleaning extra and they're less and less.

Get ortho home Defense, sprayed all around the border of your house outside and also include doors and windows. You only have to do it once or twice a year and I’ll keep all ants out. Easy process just get enough to spray around the border of your house and it should take around 15, 20 minutes. I’ve been spraying it so long that now I only Spray it once a year.

Put your phone on a table a few feet away so you have to get up to turn off your alarm. Sometimes that works.
Get some bait stations for the ants! They’ll kill the queen and colony it’s takes a week or two (in my experience it took 2)!
