    Panther would look very good after a nice slow buff and polish. I'd be very interested in seeing a RobertDIY detailing video!!

    Yes, your PCV is probably clogged. The intercooler surely is full of oil too which is bad. I have the same issue on my C70. The pressure blew my rear camshaft seal and now I'm leaking oil exxon-valdez style. I'll try to clean my intercooler with acetone but worst case is a do88 replacement/upgrade. Ordered a new PCV kit from IPD and see if I could add a catch can to it.
    Keep up the good work and take care!

    I have that or similar (Red cap TurboSmart style) Actuator on my c70, been having difficulty finding the right spring / adjustment either overboosts or underboosts tried 4pound springs 7 pound even stock spring, different pretensions eg slowly winding it in. Not sure if its because you can adjust pretension on the rod and also the internal spring. Hows the Forge one? I also have a GFB DVX Recirc Valve (for KIA) and this made a nice difference have them on all my volvo's as builds and holds boost really well with them, it uses a piston which is impossible to open under boost but responds instantly when needs also requires next to no maintenace.

    • @RobertDIY
      @RobertDIY  Рік тому

      I look at these actuators as manual boost controllers.

    Hey Robert I have a 2000 s70 awd model. I keep having an issue where the car loses all power randomly if I hit a bump or even make a slight turn of the wheel. I think it’s a loose ground but I don’t know where all the ground points are besides the one of the negative battery terminal.
    This is my daily and how I get to work to support my family and I’m trying to avoid taking it to the dealership cause I feel like it’s an easy fix and wanna save money

    • @jimmiles33
      @jimmiles33 Рік тому

      Red cable on your battery. Little accessory nub on there may be loose. I had the same issue. Check that.

    So the new one isnt a K24 Turbo right?
    Can I ask you in which case you would replace a 15g or a 16t off of a 850 T5/T5r/R with a K24? What are the advantages/disatvantages? Im thinking about replacing my fine working 15g with a K24 if its possible, for efficiency and potentially more Power. Im not sure if its worth it though.

    • @RobertDIY
      @RobertDIY  Рік тому +1

      K24 Requires more work. You can probably get enough power out of a TD04 19T - 22T.

    • @mattj456
      @mattj456 Рік тому

      Don’t replace it with a K24. It is far from a bolt on upgrade and will be more expensive than it is worth. Stay with a Td04 turbo if you want to upgrade, an 18T or a 19T.

    • @chriskeep9461
      @chriskeep9461 Рік тому

      @@chriskeep9461 you can get them off cars from the junk yard, sometimes people are selling them. If not the remanufactured / clone ones these days are actually solid if you get it from a good brand

    Help please! I have 2000 volvo s70 turbo. My car wont start but will turn over. If I disconne6the battery for 5 minutes and reconnect t the battery, the car will start. It will run a little rough at first and idle up and down for about 2 to 5 minutes till it normalizes. If I turn it off and try and start it, it wont. It will just turn unless I disconnect the battery again.
    What could it be??

    • @RobertDIY
      @RobertDIY  Рік тому

      Probably a bad ECU. I've had that issue before. You can test it by pulling the computer, connecting it back up and then see if it starts.

      It may be. I'll check compression. The PCV system may be clogged or damaged since I failed to change oil a few months ago.
