Fantastic video and lots of memories. I moved to HBC in 2005 and it was nothing like it is today. So cool to see all the transformations and birth of new businesses and culture.
Another great episode, Bart! I'm pretty ignorant of trendy places, being the bumpkin that I am, so I especially enjoy seeing you explore places like this. On another note, I noticed a comment here, that I wanted to respectfully reply to but now seems to be gone, disparaging the video as propaganda for not mentioning the former KCIA headquarters. Silly, of course, since the KCIA building was in Pil-dong way to the north of Haebangchon. And also silly because the video is excellent! Looking forward to next Sunday's video.
I love HBC. I may be a bit too old to fit in, but I love the large number of expats that make it over there on weekends and just soak in the vibes. The shops are good, but really it's the people that make it great.
What a lovely place, I feel like I must have passed through there without giving it a second look at some point. But I will definitely give it a more thorough visit next time I'm in Seoul :)

We walked the way down from Namsan to 해방천 and on the way down we stumbled over Hanshin and also bought some pottery (a really nice und cute Halmoni sold it to us, because the store owner, probably her son, wasn’t there at this moment. We didn’t speak much korean but she spoke slowly and repeated some more times so we could understand like the meaning of the pieces and for what it is used clearly. Was really nice, definitely coming back next time we’re in Seoul.) But accidentally we thought it was a part of itaewon until yours video today 😂. Thanks for correcting our geographical mistake 😁👍
I recommend that you go to watch AFC champions League. on 22th October(Tuesday),, GwangjuFC vs Johor at 19:00 in Gwangju.. on 23th October(Wednesday),, Ulsan Hyundai vs Kobe at 19:00 in Ulsan. AFC Champions League is same with UEFA Champions League. So I hope that you visit to watch AFC Champions League in Gwangju or Ulsan.

A wealthy entrepreneur built the temple, many buddha statues inside, some rooms you have to take off the shoes, there are slippers. you can sit there, many chairs like church. and some companies work in the same building and pay rent. There is a coffee place on the 3rd or 4th floor of the temple. Modern structure, traditional buddha statues, the giant one carved on the downside road parking lot wall. Two parking lots, one near the fast road and the other on the neighbourhood.

자전거를 정말 좋아할때 남산에 갔다가 길을 잘못 들었다가 저 데쓰밸리로 내려왔던 기억이 있네요. 말 그대로 너무 무서웠던 기억입니다 ㅋㅋㅋ
마침 10:00에도 자전거 한대가 내려오고 있어요.
