I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I take a picture (S24 Ultra) with people around me using iPhones, they always seem amazed by the quality of the photos. Maybe people actually prefer more vibrant colors.
Well you can set the level of vibrancy on the camera for iPhone and it’ll persist, then again a lot of iPhone users just operate the damn thing at default settings so they’re missing out. 🤷♂️
Of course they prefer unnatural vibrant colors. Thats the same reason high gamut displays are never set to clamp to RGB values by default. People want their RGB content to be stretched into the wider color space even at the cost of realism. Even I prefer more unnatural colors but I am aware that they are unnatural and that bothers me so I force myself to make thing look more plain/natural even if it looks worse
it's just that the colours should applied after the photo was taken not already pre processed to be Instagram ready. On often especially with people as subjects, it doesn't actually look good at all.

I’ve been watching a ton of comparisons between these 3 and the thing that I’ve concluded is that Pixel’s lead is no longer there. They used to be way ahead in still photos, but not anymore.
Photos are very subjective. Samsung knows that its demographic loves oversaturated, vivid photos because they believe they look better. Personally, I prefer the contrast between light and dark and more neutral tones. Neither of us is right or wrong; it's just a matter of personal preference.
For me iPhone would be out of the question because there is no way to fix any issues you might have. I am quite happy with the general exposure and colour choices my Pixel 9 Pro makes, just as I was with the 7 Pro. But that "smartphone look" ie not having real detail when you zoom in, is only fixable on Android. Either Samsung on Pixel can do that. But there is something to be said for Apple's ergonomics. The interface, the shutter, all makes the process of capturing the photo that much more enjoyable. Also people won't believe me for this but the maximum possible video quality on these android flagships, if you are willing to forego a convenient workflow, is much higher. DirectLOG and RAW video makes a difference.
Additionally, I wouldn't be surprised if given some time that the base P9 will get 50mp. Not that you are actually missing out on anything but it's happened in the past as well.
in my opinion, we've reached a point where it's no longer about having a 'better camera,' but rather about differences in features.
