- This is a Sansui AU-11000 Amplifier. Made in Japan, with no cost cutting involved in it's production. The knobs and switches on the front were milled from solid aluminum and have a tactile, heavy feel to them. Everything about this amplifier from the build quality, to the sound quality, screams premium.

electronic works of art. I was stationed on Okinawa when these first started hitting the U.S. back in 1970. I came home with Pioneer and AKAI reel to Reel

Sansui the most quality amplifires at 70s-80s ever
Got the AU d11-ll in Germany back in 1985. The polk SDA speakers and an ortofon cartridge for the turntable. Spent $1,500.00 on everything. 35 years later still works great. The $1,500 included a top of the line Harmon Kardon cassette. I paid $246.00 for the amp. It retailed for $800. Paid $250 for the cassette.
I have a AU5900 the baby brother of the AU9000 and it has almost the same features, 2 phone inputs, 2 aux, tuner, 2 tape decks, copy features between the take decks, individual adjustments for Bass, Treble and Mid Range, Low and High Filter, Db Defeat, Loudness, we bought it in 1976 and still sounds and feels as good as new. Sansui was one of the best stereo equipment makers of the 60s and 70s, it was sad to see the company not being able to remain solvent in the 80 and started to cut quality and end up moving production to india and it was gone by the late 80s.

Que máquina de sonido, espectacular y una verdadera bestia musical.
One of my audiophile buddies always refers to Sansui as "San-Sewage", but that integrated amp looks badass. The I/Os being on the sides of the chassis is crazy.

J Wahlby aka J-Dub I restored this about a year ago. I absolutely love it. Noting comes close to sound quality. I’m currently using it as a preamp for a Luxman M-4000 and a set of Kenwood L-07M Monoblock amplifiers

I found one of these half buried in sand on a rubbish tip. I couldn't believe my luck, I dug it up and rebuilt it completely, replacing all transistors with better faster modern ones and the same with all the electrolytic capacitors. It's now my most prized possession. If the house is burning down the Sansui will be what I will be saving first. lol

Saludos !!!EXCELENTE!!! tu trabajo el que estas haciendo, yo tengo un Onkyo digital A88-00 con un amplificador M504, con un ecualizador EQ540 y otro EQ201 y una platina TA2550 y un plato CP1500F y CD DX708, y la radio T4500. Todo los modelos del INTEGRA que es de lo mejor que de la onkyo NO hechos en masa la producción si no son selectos de la Onkyo ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, EN FIN TODO UN CLASICO DE LOS 80S Y 90S de equipos de sonido de aquella época, con los años jamás se me ha roto ningún modulo eso ya se ve de como trabajaban antes y los materiales de fabricación, espero tenerlo duarte ,muchos años por la calidad de un buen equipo musical ,saludos y muy buenos videos que tienes un gran like para tus grandes videos ya no se fabrican tan estupendos modelos de sonidos como estos aparatos ,es una pena , que hoy en día todo sea platico, saludos desde Barcelona - Podías hacer uno de Onkyo interga también de Review -

I have a CA-2000 preamp which is a cousin to the AU-11000. Would you mind explaining how you cleaned and lubed the main volume pot?
It's a closed unit and I don't see any easy way to get at the insides. It's got some scratchiness in the upper volume range.

Those speakers on this video can't be all that efficient. I have that same amplifier with the speakers that were meant to go with it, the 11000 series. On each side, there are two of each: bass, midrange, tweeter and super tweeter, so a total of 16 speakers for both sides. There are four 17" woofers and when you turn it up to half way like on the video, you can see and feel your clothes moving on your body from the bass yet the sound is crystal clear. Awesome machine!

why sansui does not manufacture of this kind equipment presently? I have amplf AU 717 this is s big one and nice model , and also I have AU 7500 , and equalizer pioneer sg 9000 series
