Should have got Roy Keane on the sofa with them “What are they all getting emotional for? That’s their job to save them. That’s their job. Do me a favour.”
I’ve watched it twice and at least 5 different people react to it and it still chokes me up every time such a powerful scene. Amazing acting, visuals, storytelling and of course music, it’s got to be one of the best scenes in the series
@@skelofrost9773 Okay but it's not about that, it's about the symbolism of the scene. With the thought of Vecna being depression, and Max almost giving in
It's such a great scene because Kate is singing come on baby, come on darling when Max, who has had so much awfulness in her life, starts to focus on the friendships and the love of her friends... then when Kate is singing Running Up That Hill.... Max is literally running up that fn hill. It's the montage that makes everyone cry. Perfect scene.
everyone saying 'Kate bush' ll save her' 'SHE'S GOT KATE BUSH' 'Kate Bush is there to help her!!' 'oh don't worry Kate Bush will save her' had me cackling
Im a 41 year old man and I was watching this in bed on my phone next to my snoring wife who I woke up when I shouted "COME ON! RUN!" My wife then startled awake was wondering why I was nearly in tears. This episode was phenomenal.
This is the best scene in history. For those who are depressed or want to give up on the world, remember the good times, remember the times you felt proud. Remember that you are still here, somewhere inside, there’s a sliver of hope. Find it, chase it, grab it, and never let go. Hold on to it, because people love you. Those good times could happen again. It doesn’t matter what it takes, it matters what you get in the end.
I wish I could go back and watch this scene again for the first time. I've watched it easily 100 times 🤣 I've never been as gripped by a scene since Jon Snow stood in front of Boltons army on his own. They really have knocked this season out of the park. ❤
Gogglebox is such a great show. Sounds absolutely terrible, watching other people watch things. But you feel the emotion so much more when watching others experience it❤️
I am allways amazed at how many people do not immediately catch upon the fact that Max's struggle througout part 4 ended with this scene. The descent into depression, the coming to terms with it, accepting "her fate" and then seeing how loved she is and fighting against it is an accurate depiction of people fighting depression, while finding an anchor point in others that give them strenght. This scene helped me claw my way back out of the deepest part of my struggle with it. Sure, the core problem persist, but that doesn't mean I won't accept what happened and fight my way through.
Never watched gogglebox or celebrity version before but cos it involved Stranger Things, I thought why not! To see that epic scene again with Kate Bush playing and watch celebs reactions - brilliant!!
Im 49 yrs and ok, occasionally get emotional but cannot ever remember catching my breath (waking up style) and letting out a groan followed by tears when Max fell to the ground. An Amazing episode i will not forget.
I've only just got to this bit in Stranger Things and it made me sob. It's so powerful. I keep thinking about it. I've never rooted for a character more than I rooted for Max in this scene, and I truly thought she was going to die when they showed us her memories, as if it was a goodbye to the character and her accepting death. It's so fantastic that even though the genre is spooky, it centres the human experience of desperately scrabbling towards your life when it might be taken away. The actress is incredible. You see this raw desperation to live on her face.
I was screaming at the TV 'She's not gonna make it' and willing her to get to the exit. I don't think I have ever felt emotion like that in a TV series before. Incredible!
It just go to show by their reactions how fucking amazing that scene was. It literally had them screaming and caring for Max honestly can't wait for volume 2 soon
I quite enjoy Stranger Things as a casual viewer although I'm not a hardcore fan, but even I thought that whole sequence was one of the best TV moments of the year. It was utterly gripping. Genuinely didn't think she was going to make it. Just phenomenally done.
When visual and audio meet to make one of the most gripping and iconic scenes in series history. Stranger Things for me might just be the best thing I've ever watched.
The really beautiful thing about those reaction videos is, that you can relive your own emotions that you had watching a movie or series and it makes me happy to see all those other fans!
I have seen a thousand movies and films- i know- and this is probably the best scene I have EVER been witness too. I cry every time. The actress, the other actors, the plot, the mis-en-scene- the production, the instruction, the special effects- EVERYTHING perfect.
I know it's a joke and all... But I work with many people who say the same thing. Just moaning about their kids and having no time. I mean, why do people have kids if they're going to feel like this, it's not as if they don't know what they're signing up for 🤣 you don't have to have kids.
I love how people can make songs, and then 30-40 years in the future that song can come back in to the limelight once again, even introducing new people to the music 🙌🏽
Just the song, is so fng RIGHT!!! Like, Vecna can get to her because she's hurting from her brother's death and she just what to MAKE A DEAL WITH GOD AND GET HIM TO SWAP THEIR PLACES!!! Is just simply amazing. Is terrifying and intense and again, JUST RIGHT 😭 ALSO the melancholic rendition at the end with just the notes...TEARS LITERAL TEARS AND also I feel there's not enough talk about how heartbreakingly beautiful her letter to her brother was 😭
This 55yr old is not afraid to admit i jumped up,sobbing my eyes out & screaming at the telly to max 😂.."run max...ruuuuuuuun"..my neighbours must have heard me & i cared not a jot..was just happy she got out..yeah,i know its just a programme but one of the best series i think i have saw..the song was perfect for those scenes with max..❤
No matter which part of the world we all may be from...such scene which portraits the depth and intensity of human internal struggle definitely puts everyone into the same wave. It is definitely a Intense scene of all the series.
These were the best freaking reactions I have ever watched to anything - kpop, true crime stories, baby gender reveals, etc. I got emotional watching their emotions. And this scene...this scene should have one Sadie Sink and Stranger all the awards possible. The intensity is still electrifying watching over again
*“Aw no she’s gone in the Upside Down now. It would happen at the graveyard as well.”* The way he says that so casually along with his British accent makes it so much more funny! 😂

“Best scene in history” alright let’s calm down a bit…
Dear Billy was a masterpiece. Sadie Sink (Max) deserves every award under the sun. She was formidable in volume 1. Bring on volume 2!
A great analogy for depression, how remembering good times, friends and your favourite songs can bring you back from the brink
