5:56 When Jack started singing that perty song, it brought a tear to my eye! If you ever get tired of trucking, you might consider starting a "Boy Band". LOL I enjoy your videos!
I used to live in Phoenix, so I can relate to what you said about the smell of the desert rain. I loved it! It wasn't the musty smell of the northeast that's for sure!
Jack, loved the video to El Paso, that is my old stomping grounds. Lordsburg, and Deming .Many years ago I used to drive transit mix diesel in Silver City, NM which was 49 miles north of the mountains you passed when going through Lordsburg on your left side going thru.. Really made me homesick. Love those downpours. LOL Roy -Rocklin, Ca. Keep shiney side up!!
Hey I live in El Paso!! We aren't all crazy drivers. I have a special kind of respect for truckers on the road. I enjoy watching your videos! Safe travels Indiana Jack!
Nice work on the video Jack! Shots framed nicely, Continuity cut aways, Split audio edits, Graphics and editing in Adobe Premiere, music stings and audio ducking. There was even a musical performance! A+ on content and technical proficiency with the production. I'll be back to watch more. Take care out there on the roads buddy!
Great video. If you don't mind, how long was your finacing for your tractor? Was it new? Iam just curious not here to make any judgements or anything else and of course if you don't want to answer thats ok. Again thanks for the videos
Hey Jack, just started watching your videos a few days ago, I am a former Trucker and Trying to stay that way, LOL but also im one Jehovah Witnesses and want to thank you for your comment- so much now days we are condemmed on deferent videos for our beliefs but you must count your "friends" as true friends and im proud to subscribe to someone of your caliber, Thanks for who and what you do--------maybe I might see you on the road somewhere. may Jehovah bless you and keep you safe.
So what kind of trouble do you get when you are 26 min over your alotted time. Does Knight Trucking make you take a safety class?. I saw a Knight truck on the northside of Chicago last Saturday and thought it might be you.
What is the kind / name of the song / music at 16:42 please? I have watched many video's Jack. Keep on safe trucking. May God give you a safe and healthy long life! Greetings from the Netherlands.
Hey Jack, there is always line 5. lol Also, as far as MPGs, do you keep your shifts up to 1200 RPMs? I started doing that at Wal~mart and it does help with fuel milage. Even with heavy loads. On our 12's drivers are getting 8.5s. On our 10's, they are getting 7.5s and better.
Did you know Jack the term bless you come from the times of the Black Plague , when people would cough it was a sign that you had the terminal infliction of the plague so people would say Bless you to them.
Jack I think you need to find a good Volvo mechanic and get him to do a tune-up on your engine. Either that or take it back and get them to do it again as they are the ones who stuffed it up. The fuel savings alone should play for it self. Are you on E-logs or paper logs? What sort of penalties would be involved it you had stopped @ your 70 and did a reset? Guess they could have sent out another driver to finish the run.
I laugh when I hear some of the advice that some people give you, it must be hard t hold your Iip at times mate. I totally see it as very professional when you are calculating your MPG out as you do. Have you even done a synopsis pertaining to the dual you would save verses the repayment on a new truck and when doing this factoring in the repairs and maintainence Jack. I always have found when the miles are high the bills are high. Have you a face book page mate
I guess the government thinks we are still in kindergarten. Remember when we used to have to take a nap in the middle of the day. We would roll out our mats on the floor and take a nap. I always got sent to the closet because I would make the other kids laugh and wouldn't keep my head down. So remember to keep your head down when you take your 30 min. nap. Happy Holidays !
When I drove truck I never stopped if I knew I was low on hours, I ran hard all the way to my destination "mostly oilfield work" I usually stayed within a hour or 2 over on my logs, not very often ,but here in Wyoming there are not many hp units out and about ,one time I took off from Spokane, WA and drove all the way home to Casper, Wyoming. maybe not smart to do but, i slept in my bed that night:)

I'm one of jehovahs witnesses and we know that by saying bless you folks are only being kind and polite. There are a lot worse things that can be said! Just think if everyone said bless you right? Enjoying the vids bud! Keep on trucking! Romans 12:14b

The smell in the desert most likely was mesquite. Always smells good after the rain..

Could you not call dispatch and tell them to repower the load before your 70 hours expired? It's not like you were in the middle of nowhere.
