Georgian Bay Salmon Fishing - Light Bite

This day was calm and the salmon bite was on. We manager to get 4 on and land 3.
This salmon was a light hit and we almost didn't see it hit. Once he discovered that he was hooked up boy did he run.......
The depth was around 90 - 120 FT with the focus at the bottom for the fish.
With a 1/person rod we focused are attention to the bottom 40 ft. We did ee many fish up higher in the water column but the bottom 20 ft was consistent with large schools of bait and salmon were close by.
The bait of chose was a Gibbs Highliner 11" Purple MoonJelly Glow/Ultraviolet flasher with a Luhr Jensen everglo flashfly.
The trolling speed was around 2.2 mph.

oh man. so jealous. I tried this once and no luck. I think I was not really good with trolling for these salmons. Well done

It took me many attempts to catch the first salmon. It helps watching videos and going out with another angler that has had success salmon fishing.
