Hey Nate! Congratulations on a great hunt and shot. I don’t know if you remember me, I came up to the new shop last year shortly after you opened, bought a dozen arrows and you serviced my bow. I needed to get new cables and strings but waited until this year. Well , last year got a 6 pointer and two does with the old strings, this year after I got a new string and cables, the bow and I were target shooting very good, grouping excellent out to 45 yards. Well, my first day out this year for the early archery season, I had a monster 8 pointer step out into an open field at 51 yards, I aimed a little high with my 45 yard pin and Bullseye! I’ll try to send a pic over email. Congratulations again.

Awesome hunt. Congrats on the buck! I've had some close calls this year, one missed doe, several sits where I would have had multiple shot opportunities if I'd picked a tree 20-30 yards closer. The rut should be hitting full swing right now where I'm at in SW Georgia and I've got some big guys on camera, so I'm hoping to catch up with one this weekend. 46 yards is a heck of a shot. I shot a 2.5 year old spike last year at 46 yards from the ground with a Grim Reaper Pro and it flew perfect. Everything just felt right in the moment.

I kept trying to film that this summer and everytime I did the footage was rubbish. Have to game plan again this winter to show folks how it's done.

I do the same thing and think you learn a lot rather than only walking straight to the deer.
What broadheads were you using??
Love blood trailing even if I see the animal expire. Always useful information. Even can be a struggle like we had in broad daylight! I was shooting Magnus Black Hornet 125 broadheads. The non-serrated version. Possibly my favorite head Magnus makes.

On the 2nd big buck my opinion is forget form and a slow release this isnt a tournament you need to make a quick decision and execute as fast as possible . you're a way better archer than me but in the woods its better to be fast than accurate to the millimeter.
Very seldom goes as scripted but the deal is YOU were out there getting it done. And that’s the important thing. Got some great meat and a crazy memory. 👍👍👀

Some of my favorite hunts are when I stop chasing horns, and chase deer and enjoy the moments with friends and family instead. I want the experience. If it’s legal, you don’t need to “justify” the antler size to anyone. 🤘🏻

I noticed in your videos you shoot a lot of Elite bows. I have an impulse 31 and am having a really hard time tuning. I noticed the top of the bottom cam is leaning severely away from my riser. Any suggestions on what I can/should do about that?
Tuning can be a litany of issues, same with the cam lean. Although cam lean isn't nearly as big of an issue as people make it to be and unless it's making the bow unsafe to shoot I would leave it as is!
It’s pretty bad. Probably 10 degrees. But it does still shoot. The only reason I started looking at it was because I had a knock right rear that would not seem to go away no matter how far out I moved the rest.
Don't be mad at yourself for what could have been done. that is life and the way of hunting. If everything worked perfectly it would get boring. And in the end you were successful. Great video and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
