Cali's fear of his dad's disapproval is palpable. That June, on the other hand, knows she has her dad wrapped around her little finger is equally clear. Her facial expression told him before he even left the room: "It ain't happening."
Claire, who aspires to be a parent, has internalized the key attribute of parenthood -- being responsible. Dorothy, having been encouraged all her around-the-world, adventurous, life (particularly by her dad) not to be constrained by convention or fear of potential consequences, has internalized those fearless qualities.

I love the mix of Claire and Dorothy's personality. You have Claire who is really old for her age and and sensible and then Dorothy who is laid back with an element of wild in her. They both compliment each other so well 😊

I love how Claire didn’t attach what she wanted to be to a -> thing or title. Her parents have somehow taught her that she is a human being and not a human doing lol therefore she would like to be a mother. I’m here for all of it. And the confidence lol.

I pointed this out on a previous Crosby video when Claire said she wanted to be a mother verses Carson who wanted to be a builder and inventor and boy, did i get clobbered in the comment section. Being a mom is amazing and yet i love that Dorthy sees it as part of her goals but not the only one..
Not all women get to be moms. It's VERY important to instill that in your kids. Motherhood isn't something that just happens because you're a girl or because you've always wanted to be a mom. I'm 49. My (Earthly) kids have all been 4-legged and furry. While they mean the world to me, I'm fully aware that only other critter parents and veterinarians even consider them kids. All of my 2-legged kids are with God. So, being more than 'just a mom" is massively disrespectful to those that are domestic engineers.
My father was a mechanical engineer and my mom was a domestic engineer. They had 5 kids in 11 years. My dad was not under ANY disillusion that what my mom did was far more difficult than what he did. Somebody has to make the money and somebody has to be with the kids (child care options where I grew up are not like the options we have now).
As with any good/positive relationship of any kind, not judging, not being disrespectful, not being rude, nor hurtful of the other is a hallmark for such relationships. Think about the best relationships (whatever their nature - siblings, spouses, etc) you've had. What made them that way?
Life isn't about being PC (politically correct). It isn't about doing what is popular and not expressing what you really think about things because that viewpoint is not popular. Life is about being true to yourself. Being genuine. If you don't have that, what do you have?

@@rachelmargolin9090 I'm 16 years old and I'm babysitting a little boy and he is 7 years old and his sister is 9 years old and they are swimming in the pool at my house and I'm about to drive to the store in my little truck and they ask me if they can ride in the truck wearing their swimsuits and the little boy ask if he could go shirtless because his sister is wearing her two piece swimsuit that shows her tummy and I said sure because I am wearing my bikini top and bottoms and going to drive barefooted so all three of us are in the truck everyone is barefooted and our stomachs are showing. I have never driven barefooted before so the little girl and boy said that I should take off my flip flops and drive barefooted since they are barefooted. There is a huge truck driving behind us and his lights are blinding me and I can't see really good so I told the little girl and boy to wear the same seatbelt and they said why I said because I can't see anything and we could go over the cliff and flip over and over down the mountain and the little boy said but I am shirtless and everyone is barefooted and our stomachs are showing
