What to install some mods? This is the video for you. I'll show you how to easily install mods for Monster Hunter World Iceborne.
With this method, when you want to uninstall a mod, you don't need to manually search for what files to delete, the mod manager will do it for you.
NEEDED FILES:
Stracker's Loader
Performance Booster and Plugin Extender
MHW Mod Manager
Capcom has started giving copyright strikes to videos related to mods. In an attempt to escape this, I'm going to remove all links to the mods. This may not work, but I'll try anyway. I'd really like the videos to remain public for anyone interested in mods, but in a scenario where this doesn't work, I'll have to remove the videos.

In case you don't want to join, here is the most common ways to fix blackscreens, crashes, etc..:
- Make sure you have the latest visual c++ redistributable: learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170
Get both x86 and x64 - Needed to run Stracker's Loader - www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/1982
- Make sure the mods you are trying to install are updated. Release/updated September 2019 onwards.

Thanks for the tutorial, Capcom just patched the game after three years and broke a bunch of stuff, including mods. I never felt the need to use the mod manager but now that some mods are broken it will help with uninstalling the ones with problems.
Mods in general should be fine, the problem is Stracker’s Loader. Last hope for a quick update from them. 🙏🏻
damn is that what happened? i tried to load up last night and got hit with "subquest needs an update, update loader" and was wondering what to do since there is no update for stracker and i didnt know what to do...should i uninstall stracker? or would that break the other mods
There's a new version of Strackers available right now. Every other mod should be fine.

So the mods are working and this is an amazing guide but i do have a question, in the mod manager some mods have the status "Partial" is that a bad thing or is it okay to load up as usual?
That usually means that some files of that mod are not installed (probably because some other mod changes those same files). If you right click it and install it again, it should fix it.

Thanks for the really great guide! Is there any risks for corruption of game save file while installing mods? Also, how does one uninstall downloaded mods?
Thank you for watching! The chance to corrupt your save file is not zero, there's a chance that it might happen, so I recommend you backup your save from time to time. With that been said, I've been modding my game for 5+ years and I've never lost my save (I still make backups tho).
If you use the Mod Manager, you right click a mod and uninstall it. You can also uninstall and delete.
If you want to delete every single mod, just delete the NativePC folder in your games directory and it's done, your game is clean from every mod.

I did this step by step trying to put in a transmog mod and it didn't work for me. Do you know what could cause it to not work?
Can you link the mod you are trying to install? It might be that mod not working (not updated or something)
I tried installing all of this yesterday and chose some other mods too. The game launched just fine but once I selected my character and tried loading into the game it never finished loading into it. Any advice?

Found old dlls in game folder
please delete hid.dll and/or dtdata.dll from the game folder if they exist.
They are obsolete files from previous versions of this mod.

Just a quick question, the mods installed fine, however when re-opening Mod Manager, the mod list is gone so I can't select them to easily uninstall. I've checked the directory etc. The mods do still work, but I have to manually uninstall them. Any idea how to fix this? Cheers for the guide, very handy.
Did you extract the mod manager into a folder? (i've seen some people with that issue because they didnt extract it).
Hey, yeah I extracted it into a folder but figured out what happened. Somehow during extraction/setup I ended up with the ModCache folder elsewhere. Redid the steps and it worked. Instead of dragging the mods into ModManager I just placed them into the ModCache folder and it adds them to the list from there. Thanks again for the video and the reply!@@umidafuk

So what do I select for the Plugin/booster when it asks me to replace the Stracker’s nativepc folder? Do I replace it or something?
Select replace. Windows will then merge the two folders together since they have the same name.
Ive played this back in 2017-2018 on xbox before my progress got coruppted so does monster hunter world: iceborne still have that saved file bug on PC where your progress and character just vanishes and gets corrupted? If it still does can you make a tutorial on how to back up save your files?
I have 1.3k in my save and I've never lost it. (and I install and uninstall mods a lot.)

@@Uri0000 No, but it shouldn't be hard at all. You only need to change the id for your steam id and it should be good to go. You can use a site like www.steamidfinder.com/ to find your id.

May i ask why are there nativepc in both stracker loader and performance booster file.
Arent they the same file and being written by the latter?
No, Windows merges both nativePC folders together, it doesnt replace anything, unless the files inside have the same name.
Want to ask, if I apply this online, will people see my character modded? Will I get ban? Sorry for asking quite new
No, other players won't see the changes, unless they also have the mod installed and no, you won't get banned. I wouldn't help people with this if there was a slight risk of people getting banned. Have fun! :))
after digging through comments i couldn't find an answer. When i drag the zip file into the mod manager it will install succefully but the mods won't work. I noticed when i dragged a mod a folder appears on my desktop called modmanager data and i saw all the mods were installed on there. My directory is correct but i cant seem to figure out why it wont work. Please send help
That folder will be created in the location of the mod manager exe. Do you have a nativepc folder in your games directory?

All three, but since I already had the first two installed I canceled it. If you're following the video, you extract all of them.
@@umidafuk Thank you brother. It's just that the video says "drag and drop" for the first two mods (and you open the zip folder and drag and drop), but then you click extract the third mod. That's why I got confused. So I guess I should just click extract for all of them then.
One more question if you don't mind; You didn't place the mod manager inside the game folder right?
@@D1I. You can place the mod manager anywhere. I left mine in the downloads folder inside a folder called "MHW Modding" just to keep things a bit organized.

That mean you have two mods trying to replace the same files, conflicting with one another, you need to choose one of those mods to replace the file.
Hi, I noticed that Fluffy Manager has an update for MHWorld which is very good because its very plain and simple to use as I have experience in MHRise/Sunbreak.
Question, will MHW Mod files will work on Fluffy manager?
Rise was my first game to play on PC and as for World was on PS4 now I have World on my pc I just hope that applying mod is easy like Fluffy.
I didn't even notice that Fluffy added support for World, I just checked it and you're right.
Since I didn't know, I'm not sure how it works but it should be similar to Rise.
So did you try using fluffy manager with mh world? If so is it the same with rise?
Good news it literally worked it's pretty the same process as applying mods in MHRise

No, you just install it and you're good to go.

@@tamgxtn From my experience, the mod doesn’t increase your performance significantly but it decreases the amount of stutters you might experience while playing.

how were you able to open the mod manager? i downloaded it but its a rar file and i cant open it like at 1:17
If you go back a bit you can see that I extracted the rar file. You need something like 7zip or winrar to do that :))
Im having an issue, whenever I have seemingly any mod installed my game wont start. The window will open, but its just black indefinitely. Any fixes?
You have an outdated mod.
My stracker and performance mods are zip files and not achieve. What did you do because I extracted and it didn't turn into yours?

You might have an outdated mod installed
How did you get your steam to say how much storage each game took up and what driver it was on ???
You add a shelf in your library, choose a shelf (like All games or favorites) and then sort by "Size on Disk"

Do i need to turn off auto upload save file to cloud on steam? I want to try use mod but affraid affect my original save file, and if i use visual mod does other player see the mod? Ty
No need to do that. You might want to backup your save manually once in a while tho. And other players won’t see your visual mods, unless they also have them installed.
When I download the MHW Mod Manager, it downloads as a .rar file. Am I doing something wrong? Should I just move the .rar into MHW's files?
You need to extract the rar file with 7zip or winrar, like shown in the video.
Do you NEED Strackers or is the go to with a manual download? I'm not sure how to do the manual one at all, am i just extracting the file into the MHW folder and not a folder within the Games folder? Im so confused lol. Edit Nevermind i figured it out im just an idiot.

@@jacob1313able You literally just download it and then extract the zip into the main MHW folder and itll create a Folder for your mods for you.
@@jacob1313able Stracker's is necessary for most mods, it makes the nativePC folder useable. That's where you will put your mods, and Stracker's is what allows the game to recognize them. However, you don't need an actual mod manager if you want to download mods manually, extracting them into the nativePC folder.
I am stupid so i have the mod manager up it says drag mos archives here or place them in folders and hit rescan cache so i went to my google downloads took a mod file from there and tried putting it in there but it didnt work what am i doing wrong
If you can't drag this into the mod manager, unfortunately I don't have a fix for it. I've seen some people with that problem but I don't know a fix for it. If the problem persists, you'll have to install mods manually. (Copy paste each mod NativePC folder in your games directory, where you find the games exe)
What's the difference between this and vortex mod manager? Cus I've been using that for my mods this entire time.

Got an error on boot up "loader out of date: update loader" double checked the files and there is only one option. Is this a recent issue? Anyone else?

I recommend you join our discord server. It's easier to help you there, but when installing mods, make sure you are dragging the zip files of the mods, don't extract them.

Probably an outdated mod that you installed. Uninstall mods older than September 2018 and check if that fixed it.

The stacker loader and the Perf Boost, are they just working out of default after copying to main game folder? You dont need to load them into the manager or anything? Im not sure what those two doe exactly, would be nice if someone would explain it to me as im a 5 year old :)
Just copy them and you’re done. They make mods load, that’s it.

Trying to install the "Free Everything" mod because I have everything on the PS account but all my friends got it for PC and do not want to have to grind all over again, I followed every step in this video but all my items are still taking parts.
1:19 make sure you did this step. This usually is a step people skip without noticing (I should’ve made it clearer)

@umidafuk Hi sorry for the late reply, apparently replacing the native pc folder like you did in the video caused models to not load textures. It's all working fine now :)
Hey man, I want to match my PS progression which I put 1.3k+ hours, 100%, and MR 999/HR 999 legitimately to my PC save because MHWI is on sale. Is there a way to get the exact number of Zenny, # per certain item, total of monsters I hunted, all gold crowns, and etc? I just can't buy the subscription on PS because I never play it but I play MHWI from time to time so I wantvplay on PC because multiplayer is free and I want to use mods for fun!
You can do most of the things with this: www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/5995 but there are certain things that you can’t edit. You can also download a save with everything unlocked and then edit it and match everything.

Yes, you can, but you might not be able to see some mods because they alter things in the iceborne side of things.
Can you mods event quest? My mh version 15.11.01 but the quest mods not appears

I don't have a steam deck so I can't say for sure. You might be better off installing mods manually on the steam deck.
Mod manager does not open
Please help I did it all right until I try to drag the files to the mod manager but it keeps sending it to the mods cache. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
That’s normal. The zip files go to mods cache and when you install them, the mod manager moves the files to the right places.

Does the MHW mod manager work for every mod for mhw on nexus?
99% of them. There’s a few that need to be installed like Stracker’s and some where the mod author messed up with the directories, but they are really rare and most mods can be installed with the mod manager.

When i dragged them from WinRar over to Mod Manager its doesnt show the mod in Mod Manager. Everything stays blank. My Game Directory is the same as yours and i have Stackers loaded as well. I can make mods work manually but Mod Manager doesnt do anything...
You don’t drag mods from winrar to the mod manager, you drag the zip files to the mod manager

Hunterpie is not a mod, it’s more of a tool. You just need to extract it somewhere, run the app and you’re good to go.
Didn't work for me unfortunately, the mod manager doesn't recognize the files I drag into it. :/ Ah well, maybe some other time.

Where did you hear that from? Nexus is THE site for mods and it's the safest you will get.

all very plain and clear, said installed success and i load the game and i dont see a change for example i have a palico mod that makes it canine and i have lucina from fire emblem as ciri when i customize both at the beginning its just normal. i dont know why it isnt working, do you think its because i have to wait to get through the beginning sequence?
Make sure you set your game directory in the mod manager. And by beginning sequence you mean the beginning of the game? If yes, then it makes sense you’re not seeing the mod that replaces ciri, because you need the ciri layered armor. Check pinned comment if you still need help. :)
