I heard this some years ago and just came across it again today. It is a difficult season, as I am writing my dissertation... feeling myself to be entirely in my head, thinking and writing endlessly. Your music reminded me that I am spirit. Thank you.
Don't only practice your art, but force your way into its secrets, art deserves that , for it and knowledge can raise man to the Divine. I think this quote will be suitable for your marvelous masterpiece. Thanks.
I'm here because I was looking into the lyrics of Kaval Sviri, then I found your video where you crafted this instrument and now playing it. Incredible.
Amazing, I had a similar route coming here after listening and reading the lyrics of Kaval Sviri and actual buying a Kaval flute. I am a foreigner, so if it works (as the lyrics promises) I will let you know!
Very Nice... after I watched the flute being made... I was wanting to hear it being played. You did not disappoint. Good job... you made my day better.
From the silent breeze and rustle of the trees, The damp moss and misty morning fog, The aged timber through seasons forgone, The smell of fresh resin filled sawdust. The scraping of dried bark and odors of burnt wood, The tender crackling of crosscutting woodgrain and gentle filed steel tooling, Precise tapping, accurate scraping, gentle sanding and the lines, those fine lines. How does the Universe do it's dance, How does it make something from nothing, from the void, From seed, to tree, From branch to flute, From the silent breeze and rustle of the trees, To the precise airflow of mouth and breath, Millions of constituents needed to make it so, This the Universe does, with such seeming ease.....
I really loved seeing the making process through to you playing such an exquisite piece of music. At times, I thought it sounded like you were using circular breathing. Thank you for sharing.
Mr Winne , that was amazing! ,.. I'm from Romania and I would definitely get a caval and learn ! - thank you for your performance and for your nice videos ! - keep them coming !
my pleasure! I am working on new concent, if you want you can help me by support new video making here! www.patreon.com/mesmerizingsounds Feel free! cheers
Wow first time i hear Doina with other national specific, i think you put in this melody some influence from your culture, in Romania, Doina have last note in musical phrases a little longer. I'm impressed how you was able to feel and made your version and let us to have a journey together with your emotions.
Hi, oh I was not aware it sounds like this melody, but I have listened and you are right its is similar :) unintentional though :) and Im also not Romanian- im form Belgium- cheers!
Your work is spiritual, your sound is magical ... your music has the power to touch our soul and make our hearts vibrate in such joy state. You made me want to learn ... Fujara and this flute ... Wonderful. May the Universe Bless you. Congratulations from Brazil. Fabiano
Love the tone and your skills as builder and musician. So amazing. Thank you very much. How nice would it be to build such a great instrument myself. Wow
Winne Clement i am not to familiar with the measurements. Hole diameter, flute length, wall width, hole position and size. I could figure out probably. What diameter did you drill through the branch to make it a flute pipe? Thank you so much. Very inspiring. 🙂
Clarity of making flute and playing both are amazing 👌, quality of true artist. I never expect this kind of musical sound from flute. A single Flute is having mulitple sound. Lovely God Bless you ❤️
It’s too familiar and simply nostalgic and poetic that it looks like a flute from the Algerian countryside folk song either from the East or the west of Algeria many thanks for this passage
Your flute making skill is only matched by your sheer talent of producing harmonic frequencies through it. I see you have been blessed by the Gods as a prodigy of many talents. May those very Gods look over you and protect you, so you may continue to share your many passions with the world. May we find inspiration in your selfless works, and joy in the music you compose! I offer you, my sincerest gratitude, you have opened a avenue of light that pierces my heart chakra.
I was really moved by the skill and sound of playing . I wood very much like to have one of your Flutes . I play several instruments all ready but now i wood love one of yours. Thanks .
This is traditional middle east and Asian Turkish flute type. Kaval name is derived from the word 'kav', which means 'hollow object' in pure Turkish. In ancient times, mostly shepherds used it to impress the sheep. Currently, it is one of the indispensable instruments in many Turkish music.
I accidentally watched this in 2x speed the first time, and it took me a while to realize. It was super intense and I was really impressed! :D Watched it again at normal speed and that was really good too!
Could you please answer me a question. How do you figure out the note of the flute and where to put the finger holes. ? Please help me with this. No one doesn’t seem to care to share. I just want to make one of my own since I’m part Creek from the Bear Creek Clan. All my ancestors that knew anything about flutes has passed on. Thanks for your wonderful music and videos.
So what is being played with your foot? It sounds like a drone instrument? It certainly is beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I also noted that the air chamber part it on the bottom, not the top! Very cool!
Tnx Winne! Heeel mooi.. Om niet te spreken van de footage over de geboorte ervan. Verder innige deelneming met het verlies van je moeder en je vriend. Hug jan
There’s so much artistry both on the construction and playing in this. For someone that is less skilled, could I use bamboo to make a rudimentary version of this flute? Also, does this play like a recorder or do I need to develop the skills to get any noise out of this whatsoever?
Makes me wonder. what would we be without art and music. Music is such a curicial part of humanity
I heard this some years ago and just came across it again today. It is a difficult season, as I am writing my dissertation... feeling myself to be entirely in my head, thinking and writing endlessly. Your music reminded me that I am spirit. Thank you.
Dude this is pure magic. Most emotional piece of music I've heard in ages!
True...
Welcome to Balkans!
