- Shooting my new (old) Remington Model 10. Another complex and certifiably neat design by John Pedersen. This particular one has a plug in the magazine, limiting the capacity to 2+1 for hunting. It also sports a full choke Cutt's compensator
Awesome! I can't help but admit that I became interested in this gun after using it in BF1, but after C&Rsenal's episode, my love for it had felt affirmed.
This is one of last pump guns I need to complete my collection. Like rocking horse poo the England though !
Interesting predesessor of Ithaca 37.
Remington Model 10 shotgun also can be slamfired. Just pull the trigger and and move a pump. Also, John Pedersen made some pump action rifles - Model 12 for .22LR and Model 14 for .35 Rem.
I held im my hands Remington Model 12 rifle - pretty light and handy gun.
A.k.a. That other WW1 shotgun
I like it.
She.......is......beautiful😢
Can you remove the plug or is it wrecked beyond repair? Awesome footage of the bottom feed and eject action.
The ejection on these is surprisingly forceful, hulls are absolutely launched out the bottom
Wonderful gun
Nice view of the bottom eject
What are you using for ammo? Some are saying these old guns can't handle modern stuff. I've got one from 1913.
I'm not an expert but I've been told you should use 3/4 lead shells with 1300 or lower muzzle velocity. No steel stuff.
Mine fires just fine on cheap Walmart noname brass heads but win steel heads not eject and get stuck
dont think ive ever seen a slow-mo of the feed area!
nice gun
That old Midas Muffler doesn't add to the value of the gun. Those are great turkey shoot guns, but you need a 30 or 32 inch full choke barrel to get shot close to the X on the targets.
That Remington wishes it was a Model 12!!
Just kidding...nice video!
I love my Model 10, but it's also one of the most annoying guns I own to put back together. Not hard, _annoying._ Getting that damned bolt back in just-so is miserable.
All that aside, it's easy to forget just how old these are. It must have looked so futuristic to buyers back in 1908.
Is it a reliable gun? Like you would take it hunting kind of reliable? How is it for shooting clay pigeons?
Remiton 10 a?
Might be a dummy question on my part, but why not remove the plug?
Cool muzzle brake btw
Was too lazy to remove it before I did the video. I'm gonna do it one of these days lol
lol, wish I bothered to do a little research about it. It took all of five minutes to remove the plug. Oh well
Does anybody know what the purpose of that muzzlebrake is
Same as every other muzzle brake
Ithaca 37 action?
Naw, the Ithaca M37 action basically a Remington Model 17 action. The Model 10 predates the Model 17 and is much more complex in comparison
my gun to go in BF1 :D
Like an Ithaca 37 but way more complicated
37 a much better design but I love my model 10 as well
