Not entirely sure how Aperol Spiritz is 'classy', having lived in Italy for two years, the Italians drink it in a similar manner to water. It can always be found if one is seeking refreshment and/or on a budget. But perhaps it is the Mediterranean lifestyle and ideals of attached style and sophistication that is sought here. So yes, common at least in its country of origin but would hesitate to agree more with William at home but can see why you might suggest its 'classy'.

Aperol Spritz is very common, it always was a cheap drink for lower to middle class people in northern Italy, this untill the producers of Aperol decided to push it to an international audience as a luxury dink, the rest is history.

People can drink what they want, and what they like. Some people don’t like gin and tonic, or wine, or beer, or Negronis or Aperol Spritz. Drinks are drinks. Champagne is the only real “classy” drink in my view, or wine. But don’t demote people’s taste in drinks. Weird
