I took the jump math training I would recommend the training in person or online, I have been using jump math over 20 years, its just math not full of reading and pretty pictures.
My son has the same issue and he's going into grade 7. When there is visual clutter he shuts down. We do try to work on this in reading but not in math. Thanks for sharing. I am not sure if the lack of colour will be good. But maybe. I will have to show him and see what he thinks.
Haha!! I love the demonstration of the puking and helping do math!! Hehe. And I find it amazing that you managed to do that!! Morning sickness is the worst!!
Most of the lessons are part of the online teachers resources. They explain what's required and have lessons with games, rhymes, and things to demonstrate on the blackboard. I print them off and then use the workbook as a supplement to those lessons. There are also things to print off that are glued into the workbook, however they could be drawn and then glued in. The online teachers resources are the main lessons, and the work book is more like an assessment tool. I use the workbook at the end of the week, and do the lessons from the teachers resources before hand......I find that it's actually the workbook that is less needed because of all the printables available on the website.
Thanks for your question! We are going to stick with JUMP this year for consistency. We are learning at his pace and still working though grade 2 work though - so I guess I can't say for sure!
Your video made me laugh a little. Thanks for sharing. I think it is great that many home school moms can just open and go with a math program like this. I just wanted to say that this program is not designed to be open and go. The creator of the program has created the teacher materials with specific teaching goals so that students can learn math well. So never looking at them because the concept is easy in second grade could prove a downside by 4th grade when the child has gaps in skills that were missed. I definitely see how the spiral vs. mastery is played out. We want our kids to master topics, but they need some review or they forget. That is one of the things that I do like about Math U See. The lessons teach to mastery, but include review each week as well. Good luck! and congratulations on your baby.

That's great!
Thanks for this. We are planning to use it this year! A friend uses it and says it is very good too.

We have used JUMP since gr1 (now in gr4), and we also love it for the reasons you stated!
Oh thanks for telling me! I hope we continue to enjoy it as it becomes more challenging!

Thanks so much! Yes it's totally the worst 😑 but I'm thankfully so forgetful!
Thank you for your video.
This is exactly what I have been looking for
🙌🙌 So happy to hear that Alyssa! Let me know what you think if you try it!

But like you said the workbook is so affordable that I buy it anyways!
I'm really glad you turned the music down! Very cute review. I guess I don't understand the placement really.
Well done! Your set up looks so cute!
Thank you so much and thanks for subscribing!
Could you couple programme this with Kumon?
We have used some Kumon workbooks and enjoyed them, but I'm no expert. I wonder if you could ask at a Kumon resource location?
Great video!
Thanks so much Morven!!
Will you be using JUMP Math again for grade 3?
