Thank you for this!! Some makers aren’t transparent about how or where their manufacturing is done and it can be disconcerting. I always appreciate how open Chic Sparrow is. (And had the best customer service ever!!)
Such an informative video - thank you. And...I was looking for the video of your brother-in-law's very well used TN, just yesterday and here it is....at the end of this video is the link. I remember watching that video many moons ago and I am ready for a refresh and that's where I am heading to now 🙏
This is amazingly helpful and informative, Jennifer! Thank you. What I have not yet been able to find on the website or in videos is what the tanning process might be for Bella. Is it vegetable + other? (BTW, this is Suzanne up in Sandpoint; there is a funny story behind the torquewingnut handle. Probably should have changed it years ago).
Bella is a Chromexel leather. It’s a complicated process credited to Horween. I’m sorry I don’t have more information on it. They don’t tend to share their process publicly. I treat it like chrome tanned leather.
Thank you for that information. I found a fairly detailed description of the labor- intensive process on the website of a British shoe company. No wonder Bella makes me think of fine riding boots! The leather really does have a very unique hand.

You’re welcome! Thanks for your support!
Great video! I own so many Chic Sparrows, so it's fun learning about the different ones. Thanks for sharing your insight!
@@Jenscraftsandjournals I’m glad you liked it! Thank you for watching.
Very interesting! And helpful when I consider what notes to add to my order. I never know what to say but have an idea of what I'd like in my head.
Oh good I hope this makes it easier for you.
This is so interesting!!
@@LaurenFairwx thanks Lauren!

You are so welcome! Thank you for taking the time to watch it. I thought it’s going to be boring but it’s still useful information.
I'm an Austin fan (Darcy) all the way!
It’s been a favorite for many years now.
I feel Full grain is the best? Thank you for this very informative video.
Love it ❤
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for such a great video! Very informative, and now I know more about my many Sparrows! Good info for future Sparrows, as well!
@@amypeterson4657 I’m glad you found it helpful!

Gah! So my head is 🤯 but loved this. Just got back from Florence Italy and wish I knew more before I shopped.
I’m sure you found some treasures! I would love to shop for leather in Italy. Forget the pasta I want the leather!
Full grain is the best quality. 😁 I think, anyway!
You got that right!
I would think full grain would be the best.
