Apperantly you can do this in later chapters aswell so if you die a lot but don't want to activate ninja dog you need to be careful... even in death
Also apperantly this is possible on Hero mode aswell, which unlocks an even easier Ninja Dog difficulty
With the recent release of the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection many new players will play this amazing game for the first time. This game is hard for new players though so I wanted to share with everyone how to make it a lot more managable for them.

I always thought that the hero mode was the new ninja dog and it was kinda disappointing for that autoblock infinite nimpo thing, because the block and nimpo are such important mechanics to learn in this game
Yea I think Ninja Dog is good because it doesn’t automatically block for you and hold your hand. It just aids you in your quest. It’s like Ninja Gaiden Normal mode is the journey of a lonely hero like the Chosen Undead (Dark Souls), while Ninja Dog Mode is similar to one with support Link (LoZ) and Roy (Fire Emblem). In a sense, you still have to learn mechanics and progress in skill, but are aided along your quest.
I'm just glad that Ninja Dog mode still exists at all. Was worried for a second that Hero mode replaced it. lol
I instantly checked if it was there because of it haha. From my experience this collection didn't take features away from the games except the online functionality

Ninja Dog is the best way to learn the game if normal is giving you a hard time. It doesn't hold your hand but helps you just enough to learn the game's mechanics without dying endlessly. On chapter 2 years ago I originally had to switch to Ninja Dog and never looked back, it really makes you learn unlike hero mode.
Exactly. Ninja dog is a good learning tool while hero mode is just a mode for Newcomers to have a one and done experience
If you die three times on Hero Mode, you can unlock Hero Ninja Dog mode. If you die three times on Normal Mode, you can unlock Normal Ninja Dog Mode. On my forth playthrough, I'm playing Normal Mode. I'm happy I took my time on the easier modes getting to know the magic, projectiles, counters, drops, throws, swallows, and the weapons mechanics. Hard Mode you cannot unlock Ninja Dog Mode. So the training wheels are off for me now.
I didn't know that there was an easier ninja dog mode because I couldn't get myself to be killed on hero mode even once. Thanks for the information I will be sure to add it in the description. Also I am happy that you enjoy the game so much
@@MemoryEffect67 thank you. You too. I love taking baby steps to enjoying my games. I used to go from the easiest mode in games, then right away to the hardest and then I realized I was missing out on the growth that comes with progression. Played God Of War through each difficulty, and unlearned all my bad habits. By the time I got to the hardest challenges I understood the game more intimately. I always get my money's worth in my games. After that I went back to Devil May Cry, and saw I was ready for it. With those series now beaten, I am ready for Ninja Gaiden. Hope everyone gets as much joy in it as I do.
Well I am thinking of doing a review series on the Devil May Cry series so you might want to keep your eyes open for that. Also I will talk about that i like how the game gives you harder modes each time you beat the game on the highest available difficulty like in Ninja Gaiden

Yeah you have to die atleast twice in normal mode. I don't know if you need to die more often the farther you are in the game though. As long as you are in normal mode just keep dying and eventually it will work

Yes
I've never unlocked the lowest difficulty in Sigma or Black because I have too much pride to play it there... It's because of that pride that I hate myself.

All the times I played on hard and played ninja gaiden 7 times I never knew that there was a ninja dog mode 😂😂
Well that is because Ninja dog is only available when you play normal mode haha
@@MemoryEffect67 Actually if you fall off the airship on mission 3 two or three times it will ask you if you want to abandon the way of the ninja

The game gives you so much freedom that there is not a real best upgrade. The "strongest" weapon is the dragon sword which you don't need to upgrade for reasons that will show itself later
I know this is a year late, but believe it or the strongest weapon is the wooden sword, upgrade it to max to get the hardest hitting weapon in the game. Combine it with armlet of the sun and other offense increases and you can take a quarter of health from any boss in one swing.
So I just started this game and I’m doing it on hero but for games I start with the lowest difficulty and the go up to the highest and beat it.

My friend make a joke in this game. He enable ninja dog mode on my save file and rewrite it, and this is after 13 chapter.

I just want to keep wearing his Purple Shozoku outfit, and being in ninja dog is the only way to obtain it.
You can't switch difficulties while you are in the middle of a playthrough as much as i know.
This mode sucks, I remember not knowing what it meant as a kid and choosing it out of curiosity. Had to restart my game after that.
Ninja dog is great for beginners but I want some aggressive enemies I don't know why but it feels realistic just my opinion
The aggresive enemies will be your reward once you get good at the game. Trust me it will feel so rewarding once you get there
Just completed very hard difficulty. And I am hesitate for playing master ninja ,just too hard.
You need to play very hard first though right? If you beat very hard you get a really awesome costume that will make master ninja a bit easier

Master ninja is not much more difficult than very hard, except for the first chapter and bosses
I'm on chapter 4 and i died to the stupid soldiers on motorcycles and got asked if i want to change difficulty.... those enemies are so bullshit man... and i was playing on normal... seriously? also i'm glad i saved on a different save file, i beating that shit on normal, i need no training wheels

Not even trying to gatekeep but if you can’t win on hero mode mode then you are just horrible at the game I beat my first play through on hard and it wasn’t even that bad
Hero mode is way easier than ninja dog and I said that if you don't want to use hero Mode they can try ninja dog
