i was just diagnosed 12/19/17 with ACC and it was in my breast, i had it removed and it did not spread to my lymphnode, i suffer from deression, bipolar 1, anxiety and i have hyperthyroid, i am scared, they did genetic testing and my chances of cancer is extreamly high, i am going to be 55 and i have a daughter 35 at end of life she struggled with breast cancer for several years and my sister 49 also breast cancer just had both her breasts removed oct. 2017 and now my 30 yr old daughter has cancer of the uterus, i am trying to deal with so much at once and right now i feel like nothing is real, i have custody of my 10 yr. old grandson and he is enduring alot during this time, i am alone dont have family near by, i was hurt by watching your video , only because i felt for you, and you seemed so brave, now' i'm crying, but thank you for sharing your story, i hope that one day i am able to do so as well. with all my love Debbra McFarland , Wichita Falls Texas, god bless you honey

Hi Heather hope you are going well. I watched your video several years ago and found it the best one that talks about adenoid cystic carcinoma. My dear friend has the same acc too. He had a surgery in 2017 to remove the growth, but by 2019 it had grown back, so he had radiotherapy and since then the growth stopped growing (2021 now). He seems happy and healthy, doing well with life

    Hi Heather
I had exactly the same cancer as you in my submandibular gland and yes after a grueling course of RT after surgery I’m pleased to say I’m 14 years post cancer diagnosis which is really good as I had what was called perinural invasion which meant it had started to attach to the nerves in my neck so I’m really lucky to be here. Yes the biopsy was a nightmare which was made worse by a un sympathetic radiologist doing the procedure. I found it really hard after and still haven’t really fully recovered mentally I’m so glad I can follow you now as I can relate so much to what you are saying ❤

Heather, I too was diagnosed with the same cancer 7/5 and had my surgery 8/3. My doctors opted for me not to have radiation @ this time. When I received my diagnosis, I said " Lord let your will be done". And since then I have left it in his hands. I pray that now you are in remission and back in grad school. Blessings!!!!!

May I ask why did your doctors not opt for radiation? I am getting ready for my radiation soon.

God bless you. I'm sorry you had to "join the ACC club." I'm four years post diagnosis of Stage four. Neutron radiation. This year I've had two surgeries because it started growing again. I was strung along by doctors also. Good messages here. ❤️

I hope you are doing well today and things have improved. Thank you for sharing. ACC diagnosed May 2022 Scheduled for surgery end of June. 2022. I am overwhelmed with the diagnosis of ACC. Has turned my life upside down but doing my best everyday- waiting on more information after the surgery to decide what is next.

    Dear Heather,
I could hear and feel your nervousness in your video, and I am so empathetic for. Your post is ME except my pain began my right ear in early 2016. This January 2017, I was also diagnosed with ACC, and I have been overwhelmed and in-n-out of tears. I also feel nerve tingling in my salivary glands on the right side. My prayers are with you! Much Aloha from Hawaii.

I was diagnosed with ACC of the soft palate in 2015 while I was pregnant with my daughter. 2 surgeries and 6 weeks of radiation later I am NED. I go in for my MRI results this friday. To see if I am still cancer free. I have also documented my journey.

Hi Heather, thank you for your video. I have recently had my submandibular gland removed as I also have ACC. My story so far is very similar to the start of yours and have been recommended to have radiotherapy. Your story will help me make an informed decision about it and your strength to get through what you have inspires me. Thank you xx

    Hi Heather,
Just came across your video about ACC . My mother just began her radiation therapy today. I was wondering if you had any sort of support from family or friends while going through all of your treatments? I hope that you are well on the road to full recovery ; )

I had my wisdom tooth removed last week. My X-ray showed a perfectly round white mass in my lower right jaw. I have had some issues with my salivary glands. My dentist told me he was sending my file to a oral surgeon, and he said he wouldn't sleep well tonight if he didn't. Now I'm nervous.
How are you doing now(June 2018) feeling well?

Heather. Talk to Jesus every day. Ask him to help you. He has more power than a whole city of people! He will heal you, he will comfort you, you will feel his presence if you just call out to him. He is the best comforter, he not only offers comfort and healing, he offers eternal life too! I will pray for you right now!! Blessings all over you! Amen!
