What’s exciting about the pixel? I have the nine Pro and the 16 Pro Max why is one boring and one exciting I mean respectfully there’s nothing exciting about the pixel same way. I said there’s nothing exciting about the 16 Pro Max so when you guys say that it’s like you’re clicking for likes there’s nothing and I mean nothing remotely exciting about the pixel that AI crap where we can put fake stuff that we were really there. I’m sorry I have a passport. I don’t need the fake pictures. I’m sorry I don’t need to delete pictureswith people in it. I’m an adult so again please help me understand what’s exciting about the pixel and I have it so it’s not heat. Nothing exciting solid phone.
@@DWAYNEGRAY if you don't love the pixel, you don't love the pixel. I happen to think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I love the photo tricks, I find them fun. I don't have a passport so maybe traveling will lead me to fall out of love
I switched from an iPhone 12 to a hazel 9 pro last month after being with iPhone for 14 years. Never thought I would have switched from apple but best thing I ever did. Won't be going back
@@valismind Just refreshing but in long term not as good as iPhone for many people. Social media optimization, video quality etc. is still superb on iPhone. I had S24 Ultra also next to my 16 Pro Max and I tried really hard to full switch to S24 Ultra but it is impossible for me with so many glitches and unusable apps that are freezing for my daily use that I have never experienced problems on iOS and that my company and work relies on. 😬
That’s because Samsung is not a Google Pixel, which is what this video is about. Google Pixels are the iPhones of android as it is stock android. Samsung adds a shit tonne of bloatware and crap and it so it’s not true clean android. Android apps work better on Pixel.
After using an iPhone for years and thinking about how much i missed using my Pixel 3A XL, i finally switched back to Pixel. It's so refreshing. I was getting bored of iOS.
Pretty solid comparison. It’s also kind of funny how the majority of the comments are people who switched looking for some reassurance they made the right choice
People don't need real insurance. They spend their money On whatever kind of phone they want And get tired of buying the same phone for years.People actually have a brain. They are just genuinely happy about the switch. let them live
@@car3030 what happens? A phone that may sell 3million phones is created. This phone isn’t a dot on the radar of the big dogs and will never be. Again I own both and this phone isn’t moving any mountains. It’s cute for those who want a pixel. Before comparing this to the iPhone let’s stick to midrange android phones before we mention is with the phones that sells 10s of millions.
@@DWAYNEGRAYexactly! People get all giggly over these “toys” because let’s face it, that’s what pixels (and a few others I won’t mention) are, is high price toys with gimmicky features for kids with ADD. All one has to do is go into the real world and see what the majority of people hold in their hands, and that’s an iPhone.
@@robhughes8516America isn't the only place that exists. Everywhere else, the margin of people using iphone is significantly decreased because they enjoy the concept of "freedom" And all the "green text bubble" arguments don't matter to them because they use messenger, not what comes with the phone.
The Android auto vs CarPlay thing has been the most intriguing to me, as I just recently got a car with the capability but CarPlay works more flawlessly than my iPhone does, sometimes. I have a new mazda with their wonderful control knob and no touchscreen, it has quick actions for maps and music so the switching thing doesn’t bother me, but man it was sweet watching the music and map swap places on android auto.
Keep pushing that Pixel...I love my P9Pro in Porcelain...although I'm sportin' my 15PM right now. Soon as I get home, I"m gettin' back on my Pixel...iPhone works just fine, but that smaller form in my pocket is what motivates me to stick with the Pixel...Great "little" phone! Good job talking about the two phones.🐬
I like it too but there’s nothing little about it. I upgraded from a truly small iPhone SE 2020 though, and I kind of miss the small form factor. Everything else about the pixel is so much better. Would be cool if there was a mini one that didn’t have horrible battery life as a result. Mini phones are seriously underrated
I have had a Flip 6 for a few weeks now after being on iPhone, and I find that android auto is a better layout, but it drops out at least 2 or 3 times on every trip. Apple car play never had an issue. 🤔 I'm glad I switched though, One UI is great.
I noticed the same thing. Over time I went bigger each year when it came to display size. Now I bought the Pixel, I realize that maybe bigger is not always the way to go. The biggest improvement in my overall experience is simply reverting back to a phone that I can one-hand.
For anyone that might be interested, the current Pixel 9 lineup is using Samsung Foundry's chips. Pixel will be switching to TSMC manufactured chips for next year's Pixel, so I think that would definitely be the one to get.
I've honestly been at a cross with iPhone 16 pro max vs s24 ultra. I like both OS, but I think Im slowly edging towards the Samsung just cause the deals and price difference. Now galaxy vs pixel is even harder of a choice 😂
@@GD2X yes, but they have their own Samsung software on top of it all. Yes it can be removed but I prefer stock android. Also I just like pixels screens more. When I used the demo phones in store the pixel phones were the only ones that impressed me
My last iPhone was the 4S. Since then I've been using android. Unfortunately I'm reluctantly switching to iPhone 16pro because I've been having constant issues with my last two android phones (Pixel 6pro and s23+). As much as i love androids and its features and innovations, i just want a phone that works and lasts a long time. Haven't had that with android unfortunately
My pixel 6 pro is also what pushed me to finally try an iphone. It was the most annoying android phone I've ever had with constant issues. Over this last year of using an iphone, it indeed just works. I've had several pixels and samsungs over the years and they all eventually developed issues with apps closing themselves, phone rebooting itself, locking up etc. I haven't had any problems with iphone so far. There are definitely things that I miss and would like to return to android maybe with the pixel 10 next year if they replace Tensor for a newer modern chip.
@@kpatt2006 exactly this. I'll wait till pixel releases at least 2 or 3 phones over the next few years with the new TSMC custom tensor chip and see how that goes.
@@NegyedMisi Mostly charging related issue. It stopped charging reliably. Tried different chargers and cables but no luck. It's a known issue and Samsung refused to acknowledge it. It was also quite buggy. 2 of my other friends have s23 but they don't have any issues.
The small form factor of the 9pro is a killer feature, also when comparing photos from a similar event mine always come out better than from my bros iphone
Great decision bro...ive been a pixel user since the Nexus 6 on up. And i agree with what you said on android been focusing on the user experience. This pixel 9 experience has just been different. It feels very luxurious to me with the looks and software. I dont know. But im just super proud of Google this year.
Great discussion on the pros and cons of both. Having been a iphone user for many years that just switched to android it is satisfying to hear someone else say the same things. 🍍
Very insightful, as I am also contemplating of switching from iPhone 16 pro to Pixel 9 Pro (somehow this year I really do not like the default picture coming out of iPhone 16 pro camera and playing with styles does not seem right..default shall be the correct one/the best one//styles is just filtering something thats not exactly good from the gettgo), especially the part on the Android Auto. I always hated Android Auto over CarPlay, but you made some good points there giving different perspective. Will give Pixel 9 Pro a tryout for 1 week. Was Pixel used before (had 2,3,4,5) but switched to iPhone when Google went bananas and made Pixel 6 (weeh), but now it seems they are back on track.
I switched to the Pixel 9 pro from my iPhone 13 Pro but after 2 weeks went back. The Pixel is amazing but missed the polish you get from an IPhone. Like voice notes on whatsapp, for some reason on Pixels the moment you lock or put away your phone it thinks you’re no longer listening to voice notes so stops playing them. The assistant, for my use Siri is way more useful because Google no longer offer location based reminders, you can set a location based reminder in Tasks but that’s not the same thing, whereas I can say to Siri, Hey Siri remind me when I get to (anywhere) to do whatever and it just will. The camera layout is more intuitive, messages and One time Passwords work better on iPhone. I have an ipad and the sync between the two you really miss when you don’t have it. Apple TV I can’t use on the pixel obviously. The keyboard I prefer on the iPhone (mainly because of the space bar cursor move etc) - the fact my gallery doesn’t get full of unwanted screenshots because on iPhone you can “copy and delete” one and even though you get some pro controls on the Pixel, the apps that I like to use for light trails and motion blur is called Slow Shutter cam and like others, they’re only available on IOS. Resale value and many other reasons. The pixel point and shoot produces better stills, it just does. The iPhone is still king of video but Pixel is almost there. The Pixel also does widgets better and the fun you can have with Reimagine is excellent but I decided I needed my phone more as a tool than something I play with and iPhone just has that “we don’t do as much, but what we do do we do flawlessly” mantra and that’s what I need. The Pixel screen is better but MagSafe is also something I wish the Pixel had. Accessories are better for the iPhone too with much more to choose from. The pixel software flies which makes the iPhone seem slow too but it’s something I can live with. This is a long comment but may help those considering the switch themselves.
This is the first time I've heard that an iPhone user prefers his keyboard. Google Keyboard on the Pixel phone is by far the best keyboard and has dozens of settings. The cursor also works via the space bar.
Yes, it depends for what you want to use phones. IPhone is the best on security part. Someone stole my 15 Pro Max and I blocked. AppleCare+ send me another one. I was also lost mine Pixel 9 Pro XL , but they do not cover this on insurance. And once again, an android it can be reset and use it by the other one. IPhone not. On the other part, Android have translation included in keyboard , this is so handy and Google translate is very good. About pictures....for me is the same,I always use automatic photo. . So once again, depends very much for what you want to use your phone !
@@ForestFilter I have a pixel 4a as a back up and have been a fan of Gboard for years, love that thing. However, the cursor movement isn't the same, it'll move it a bit but not the full control you have like you do via the iPhone one. Gboard has better gifs too but the iPhone keyboard gives better cut outs for stickers too, pros and cons. But the thing iOS keyboard does remarkably well is spelling errors, handles them and corrects them better, Gboard misses way more and iOS sort of corrects before sending, whereas Gboard will send a misspelled word but iPhone fixes it assuming you don't want to send it that way, sort of like if I know the last word I type is not spelled correctly, I hit send anyway knowing apple will clear it up in the send.
It's little touches like that. It's polish, finesse. Gboard and Android do wayyyyy more. But Apple is refined. It does need a universal back button and a few other things but, I know when I pick up my iPhone and want it to do something, it just will. Safari has bottom search bar too and little touches like that. Whenever I'm on android I miss iPhone but whenever I'm on android I don't miss android, it's more "that's cool, be good if the iPhone had that" - anyway. What are we even talking about. Let's go outside haha
I tried to swap, but owning so many other Apple products makes it hard, and my family keeps sending me imessages! I have settled on carrying an iPhone 13 mini for communication and a Pixel 9 Pro for everything else.
@IBeVibin yeah I've got a M1 Mac mini running it. I was using airmessage before. It's also nice to have a phone for messages and calls and one I use for camera and media.
@@alexanderrahl482 mine isn't peer pressure. It's more sending full quality images and high resolution video between users. WhatsApp is good for most stuff but it still compresses the media you send. I switched from my iphone 8 to pixel 6a back in 2021. The experience has been great. My concerns so far is that the other apps (like ig, messenger) do not experience the same level of camera quality compared to the camera app. So i have to take pictures in the camera app first before going back to the apps again. And the phone is noticeably hotter even with just 5g data, music, messenger. Other than that, it is just as good if not better than the apple ecosystem
I bought a Pixel 9 pro XL and I realized after 3 days that it would not connect to 5G on T-Mobile. I saw flashes of 5G come up but it went to LTE. It seems to be an issue because of the AI dealing with the network and it seems to like the stable LTE Network instead of the fluctuating 5G network. Google hasn't figured out or updated software on how to fix that issue. I return my phone but I liked it very much aside from the network issue
Great vid I’ve just switched from iPhone 15 pro max to s24 ultra and was like this is same as my s23 ultra so thought let’s see what pixel like never had one before but pixel 9 pro xl feels so good
I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max and it’s still within the return window. I’m an Android guy, but can appreciate iOS. I’m not a home gamer at all, so would me trading my 16 in for the Pixel 9 Pro XL be a wise choice? Most of my experience with Android is Samsung and OnePlus.
🍍 totally agree the majority of your points. I too am long time iPhone user. It's great, but I'm board with it. Recently dug out my Z-Fold 2 and am reminded how much fun it is.
I'm thinking of switching from iPhone 11 Pro because of a good offer from my carrier to get a Pixel 9 Pro and I can sell back my iPhone to where I bought it for 400 dollars so all round good deal. The only red flag is that I've been seeing a lot of folks having issues with GPS and maps etc. That would be the one thing that would be a dealbreaker, though. I was always a Google phone user before, despite using macOS for desktop for decades. I need to switch for compatibility issues with my hearing aids, which is no longer an issue. I'm not really in the market for a new phone, but this seemed like a good deal.
For me the thing is that using a Pixel is so much more expensive since it looses at least 400€ (Germany) after only one year of usage… The iphone only 150€ - 200€.. And YES I switch my phone yearly with mostly only paying 200€ from iphone pro to iphone pro. Pixel is just electronic waste after 3 years. The pixel 7 Pro is under 300€ refurbished 😮
is there a way to use the iPhone and google pixel at the same time with the same phone number. I am not ready to completely switch from iPhone because im stuck in the ecosystem, but I want to try the google pixel but with the same phone number.

The Pixel looks more and more tempting each time, although your issues with CarPlay are something that’s never happened to me, or something I’ve heard about from iPhone users I know, but definitely something to look out for
I play genshin Impact on max settings on my Pixel 9 Pro and it performs on the same levels as iPhone 15 Pro Max. (Not using benchmarks, just actually hands-on testing)
my carplay lately with my iphone and every iphone i've owned will suddenly go static after a while, i have to unplug and replug it back in....even with different cables. never had that issue with android auto and that's partially why i wanna switch back. i do love my iphone though and the dynamic island and that was one of the reasons i wanted an iphone again lol. might make the switch back to pixel / android though 😅
It’s a tough choice because I want the best possible performance in both photos and videos on a smartphone. However, everywhere I turn, people keep telling me that the iPhone is the king of video, while the Pixel is the king of photography. It’s frustrating. Why isn’t there a device that excels at both, outperforming everyone else? It feels like each brand is perfecting only one area, leaving consumers like me having to compromise when what we really want is an all-in-one solution.
iphone wins photos and videos for sure overall. Best performance too. It’s much more stable and optimized. Bought 13 pro 2021 and now 16 pro max. Battery life has been awesome in both too. Pro Max is crazyyyyy with battery life.
@@alexdenton6586 i though smaller 13 pro was already so good with battery life but then went to bigger one. And holy crap. I use this phone most of the time until next day 12pm if i pick it up from a charger at 8:00 and use basic stuff during the day. Ofc if I use it way more it takes more battery but it hasn’t been possible for me to drain it during the day from 100%.
I don't know if this is going to help you but I was in your situation and I think that the pixel is a good compromise. On one side you got the iPhone whose videos are the best. The Pixel videos are really great but not the same level as the iPhone. However photos the pixel is miles better than the iPhone.
What bothers me about every "I switched to a Google Pixel Phone" story is that apparently nobody uses the Apple ecosystem. That's at least for me the most important point. Can I use Apple Music or do I need to switch? What do I do with my photos if I also have an iPad or a Mac? How do I handle files stored in iCloud?
This has got to be one of the best reviews out there get straight to the point! The Social Media app optimizations is a deal breaker for me that's why i can't switch to Android i need smooth performance on every app I use not just my UI
@@valismind But they are still superb for content creators with Apple Log etc. There is still not better phone in Android phones. Yeah the XL is such a good phone though man, the smaller one is cool, and convenient but can’t go wrong with Pixel this year! Thanks for watching through!
I switched from the iPhone XS because the iPhone didn't have anything to keep me interested. I bought the original Pixel 1 and loved it. There were just some features missing at the time but there is not a gap anymore. The Pixel is a go to phone for a casual user. Love the Pixel
The case is something you care about? If you care about the devices (no matter which one) you put it in a case. And that also keeps your pixel from chipping which i never saw on any Android or iPhone ever from me and my coworkers. So maybe carry out in a case would be highly advised for you.
Apple needs to get rid of the notch, and move back to fingerprint reader. You can still have face unlock without all the funky hardware, as the pixel has it just using the front camera
Like watching a video from Bizzaro Earth, where Carplay is somehow worse than AA. My AA disconnects on my 23 Ram truck were happening when it was WIRED. And no fullscreen. I got a 15 Pro Max and never looked back.
Something weird that I noticed with my 15 Pro Max is that it's somehow worse in social media like snapchat and instagram than my S23 Ultra. Whenever I upload a story to instagram on my iPhone it just looks like it has bad aliasing. When I take a picture in snapchat it gets blurry. As if the resolution got downgraded from 4k to 720p. The only thing that is really making me keep the iPhone is apple log, which is brilliant
As someone who switched from Samsung the only things I miss is more bass in the speakers and I wish the speaker wasn't placed to where if I play games my hand is over it so it lowers the quality everything else is nice
In regards to you choosing over screen impact, you should choose a 9 pro fold like me! You get a tablet in your pocket to watch stuff on 😍 (my usecase is 95% reading news and watching youtube)
@valismind Currently been riding out my iPhone 13 Pro Max. 💀 After watching your videos from the Pixel and Galaxy S24 Ultra…I can’t decide between those two now 😭😭😭
Switched to iPhone 15 Pro from being a Pixel user since Pixel 6 Pro and recently from Samsung S24. Although theres some limitation on the iPhone, it’s well built, no lag and flicking and overheating issues.
A few years ago, when the iPhone x was the most recent iPhone, I used to use an iPhone 5s as it was all I could afford, and I actually had two of them that I used for a coule years, and after using android for the last 4 years, I feel like I can say my opinion on both, for the longest time, if you wanted to customise your phone heavily, android was the way to go, but with ios 18, you can customise your iPhone morw than you used to be able to, and i think for most people, they should use iPhone, however, for me, my personal phone will forever be android, it was just more freeing when I switched, however, I think I will use an iPhone as a work phone and school phone, I'm currently using a samsung z flip 6 as my personal phone on a two year plan, you can make fun of me all you want, I'm loving the phone, and my previous phone was the google pixel 6a, but, at the end of the day, the argument between iPhone or android is completely subjective, its up to personal preference
Out of all these videos I've watched talking about pixel phones, especially the new pixel 9 pro. Nobody talks about the one feature that I bought the phone for magic eraser. It is the best feature on that phone
Great Video Bro. I think a long term review would be awesome. I've always had Android except years ago I had the IPhone 6 for about a year and I couldn't get back to android quick enough. I will never consider iPhone again. But I still find your video(s) interesting.
+1 on the disconnecting CarPlay. I have never had an issue with it disconnecting ever up until recently. Its seems to have coincided with iOS 18 update.
You may have a point. But my trip to Florida was in Aug, and my wife wasn’t on Beta and was having the issue on her iPhone 14 as well. I could be wrong, she could have been on beta, but damn. I never had the issue either on the 15PM, but I guess that could coincide with the update.
I'm also switching to 9 Pro and the only reason is this stupid dynamic island, which they try to sell us as something good and efficient while it constantly bothers the eye
What you said about scrolling with android that it is a bit rough sometimes and not smooth. I feel like that is moslty for pixels since on my s21fe (sd888) its still buttery smooth after like 2 years or smth. So i just think it is a pixel problem instead of an android problem. Good video nonetheless
Have the same issues with the same apps on the S24 Ultra - X is most prominent. I do notice MORE on the Pixel, so hoping these devs step it up! But it's not a nightmare as far as the experience goes!
@@valismind Ahh, good it isn't terrible. I was thinking why it could happen, the only thing i could come up with (and is the main difference in the display between s21fe/ 24u / P9), is that my screen isnt ltpo. The others have it i believe. Do the apps maybe have trouble understanding the ltpo properly and bc of that there are stutters?
@@bramgp8921what i think is the variation.. for iphones it's just normal 60hz and 120hz panel with identical resolutions in all year models and size but for Android there are 20+ ui with 100+ display size , diff resolutions , diff refresh rate , diff tech ,diff ppi and more maybe that's why it is hard to optimise apps for androids

🍍 So I'm a long time iPhone user sprinkling Android over the years and after watching both announcement presentations, I decided to switch to the pixel 9 Pro XL and hold on to my iPhone 15 Pro Max as my backup device along with getting the pixel watch 3 and replacing my airpod Pro 2s with the Google pixel buds Pro 2s
same here! i was once an avid iphone lover...then i checked Pixel phones and for few days it was a struggle...but then its been more than 5-6 years now and I don't regret a bit. When the new iphone launches i do compare camera with the pixels but the brand new iphone's camera would still look inferior. I might move to iphone one day when they beat pixel on camera and AI :)
I use both a pixel and iPhone and have for years now and i like the pixel launcher and notifications but otherwise I don’t actually care accept for better apps for the most part on the iPhone and the quality of those apps. The ecosystem around the iPhone cant be beat on android even years later. People say apples been asleep but I don’t think apple took years to implement things android has had for years but android was janky for so long until recently and apple implemented features much better like widgets and the actual functional app and not just a thousands of useless android apps. People need to use what’s best for them and not compare and tell people what is better over the other because it’s better for YOU not everyone.
I buy the Ultra every year, and then get hand-weary because of how wide it is. I am 6ft tall and my hands are fairly large. But the Ultra is just a bit too much. I have a good pixel 9 pro xl. It is much more comfortable to use. However, I have dual SIM with my work and personal numbers both as ESIMs on the Pixel. The dual sim support on Android and especially the Pixel is HORRENDOUS to say the least. 1. No RCS support for both lines. Only 1 line 2. Google dialer does not let you choose the SIM you want to use on the fly. So if I have my personal number set up as primary number and I receive a work call and I miss it, if I want to call back, I do not have the option to choose the SIM I want to use. So stupid. 3. Samsung lets you choose the SIM you want. But the haptics and voice to text is FAR superior on the Pixel. It's crazy, but Apple has all of these basics PERFECTLY ironed out. Dual sim support, all lines on the phone supported by imessage, etc. Seriously thinking of switching back to ios, especially after ios 18 theming. The dark mode icons are really cool. I can't believe Apple beat Google to the punch when it comes to system-wide theming.
I’ve been an iPhone user since 08.. lately I’ve been so bored with Apple. I feel like Google is doing a great job of being the middle man between Samsung and Apple. Going TMobile to check out one of the displays 🍍🍍🍍

I have been an iPhone user since 2010 and thought of upgrading from iPhone 14 Pro Max to the new iPhone 16 Pro Max but I ended up getting the new Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and I am just so happy with my decision. I still have my iPhone 14 Pro Max because of iMessage, otherwise I would have sold my iPhone and fully transitioned to using Google Pixel Pro XL. Overall, Google Pixel Pro XL is elegant, classy and features wise - awesome experience ❤️
If you didnt have an iphone anymore, and someone sent you an imessage (not knowing you dont have an iphone anymore) would you still get the message but in text format or would you not get the message at all?
@ not quite sure about this but I got a message from my friend through regular text message even though we always used iMessage when communicating. Not sure if this is the case when android to iOS. This is the reason why I am keeping my iPhone even though I am happy with my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL.
iPhone 16 pro max is a aluminum frame and a very thin layer of titanium. So actually the iPhone 14 with a complete stainless steel frame was actually more premium than the 15 and 16
True. Apple car play is so annoying when compared to Android Auto. It doesn't even have a basic pinch to zoom and zoom out while navigating with maps, something which has been there in android auto since ages. There are multiple instances of connections getting disconnected, audio getting chopped while playing music and even there were instances where the video didn't even had audio while I recorded when the phone was connected to Apple car play. These are my experience from switching to iPhone 16 from android. Other than the sharper and cleaner looking videos iPhone produce I don't find any other advantage iPhones have over the modern android flagships (provided you are not locked or trapped inside the apple ecosystem).
I was debating the two phones for a long time. I have been a long-time Apple user. Instead of buying iPhone 16 Pro, I bought Pixel 9 Pro. I liked it but after a week I realized that I want to get back to an iPhone because having an Android phone where everything else comes from Apple does not really make sense and makes my life harder. So I switched to iPhone 16 Pro and instantly felt "this is it". This is my subjective experience but iPhone seems more responsive and faster and photos are way better (at least from the perspective of a normal user, not someone who uses RAW photos).
I was playing with a pixel demo and I like making little photo widgets on my background and it only let me use google photos. it wasn't letting me select images to use and just did my WHOLE google photos. are you able to choose set photos for a photo widget?
Feel if Apple were to listen to there customers more and put more effort into updates and better updates to the iPhone each year rather than just producing a new chip and calling it the best iPhone EVER which in turn is not but just a copy and paste each year they may had done better - I feel they may have hit a brick wall as more people become frustrated and start to realise they are being ripped off each year . Apple need to get there mojo back and stop focusing on projects which are never gonna see the day of light ie Apple car which has been dumped and put more focus on what people want.
I've been rocking an iPhone for the past six years, but I'm over it. Next year, I'm switching to the Samsung 25 Ultra. iPhones are cool, but they're just too boring for me.
I have been a pixel user since the 3. The best phone I have ever used in my life was the pixel 4 xl. After that I went to the iPhone because the pixel 5 was such a downgrade. I was going to be shooting a lot of video and the 13 mini gave me a great form factor for mobile video. I have that up for a pixel 7 going it would have caught up to the 4XL. The face unlock isn't really a feature on the pixel. The fingerprint sensor is garbage. My 4XL had better face unlock than iPhone and it's a feature I know they can do. I find this offensive.
Switched from an iPhone 13 Pro to the Pixel 9 Pro XL and its the best phone i had so far! If Pixel stays that gr8 im not goint back to IOS even if Huawei gets more phones here in Europe i would even get an Huawei!
It's decent, but highway driving it does VERY well. I could get about 650KM on highways, when it comes to city driving it's not nearly as good, maybe 450KM-500. That being said, since Jan, I've put 23,000KM on it. Took it to Florida from Toronto, and in the beginning of this month, from Toronto, to Ottawa, through the Montreal border into Salem, MA - back to Vermont, and back home. I love driving it, it's comfortable, it's clean, it feels nice. I used to work at Toyota, I have driven thousands of cars (literally) Toyotas, Lexus, and many other manufacturers. It's up there with one of my favorites. The price is something to keep in mind, it is NOT a luxury vehicle, that being said for what you're paying you are getting a LOT.
@@valismind Man, I appreciate you for the detailed response. I know it has all luxury features and what not. I live in Surrey and drive down to states all the time. Good to know it gives 650 range on highways but only thing where I step back is city driving. But for this budget I think it’s worth it. Going for test drive tomorrow. Let’s see how it goes. Thanks again. Love your content.
Swapped my iPhone 16 for the pixel 9 pro. No regrets. iPhone is boring AF
YES! Glad you're lkiking it!
I agree iPhone is so boring 🥱

It’s actually so good.
Apple intelligence is exciting
That’s because Samsung is not a Google Pixel, which is what this video is about. Google Pixels are the iPhones of android as it is stock android. Samsung adds a shit tonne of bloatware and crap and it so it’s not true clean android. Android apps work better on Pixel.

YES! love it! Thanks for watching!!

If your switching pixel is the best option
Yeah, it’s tough. Both are great. Just depends on what you’re looking for.
@@valisminddoesn't samsung have most of the ai features of the pixel outside of the phone app AI stuff?
@@GD2X yes, but they have their own Samsung software on top of it all. Yes it can be removed but I prefer stock android. Also I just like pixels screens more. When I used the demo phones in store the pixel phones were the only ones that impressed me
@@MrBrandonLau no I’ve actually had bad experiences with Samsung software mainly in terms of memory management the pixel is way better

All phones are boring. They need 2 years gap between new models.
Depends, if you're talking about year over year changes, sure. But Google does make a lot of improvements each year. More-so than others.
I have been saying the same thing for so long. Optimize the heck out of the software over a 2 to 3 year period before releasing the next device.
That’s not how shareholders operate.
Naw, i enjoy treating myself to a new phone every year. I like having options.
what makes them boring to you?
You should make an in depth comparison between apple car play and android auto

For me the thing is that using a Pixel is so much more expensive since it looses at least 400€ (Germany) after only one year of usage…
The iphone only 150€ - 200€..
And YES I switch my phone yearly with mostly only paying 200€ from iphone pro to iphone pro. Pixel is just electronic waste after 3 years. The pixel 7 Pro is under 300€ refurbished 😮

I'm switching from the iPhone 13 pro to the google pixel 9, but it's arriving next week... Did i make a good choice?
It’s a tough choice because I want the best possible performance in both photos and videos on a smartphone. However, everywhere I turn, people keep telling me that the iPhone is the king of video, while the Pixel is the king of photography. It’s frustrating.
Why isn’t there a device that excels at both, outperforming everyone else? It feels like each brand is perfecting only one area, leaving consumers like me having to compromise when what we really want is an all-in-one solution.
I mean the iPhone looks as good in photography as well... So I don't think the Pixel wins in either.
iphone wins photos and videos for sure overall. Best performance too. It’s much more stable and optimized. Bought 13 pro 2021 and now 16 pro max. Battery life has been awesome in both too. Pro Max is crazyyyyy with battery life.

You can still have face unlock without all the funky hardware, as the pixel has it just using the front camera
one of the reasons for that funky hardware is it allows the face unlock to work in the dark which the Pixel does not

Next year: "Pixel User is switching to Galaxy S25 Ultra" and then "S25 Ultra user is switching to iPhone 17 Pro Max".

You may have a point. But my trip to Florida was in Aug, and my wife wasn’t on Beta and was having the issue on her iPhone 14 as well.
I could be wrong, she could have been on beta, but damn. I never had the issue either on the 15PM, but I guess that could coincide with the update.
iPhone 14 pro max to pixel 9 pro xl. Loving it but downsides are video editing, no FaceTime. Other than that amazing phone.
I'm also switching to 9 Pro and the only reason is this stupid dynamic island, which they try to sell us as something good and efficient while it constantly bothers the eye
Countdown to „I’m switching back to Iphone, a Pixel user experience” video, starts now 😂
It's the name of the game. Let him do him..
Then next year, I'm Switching to the Galaxy S25 Ultra: A Pixel 9 Pro Users Experience
Like clockwork
Has it happened yet?
@@sahilbisht4459 yea that is true aswell. But that still doesnt explain why my 2 year old phone is smoother with scroller than his P9 and s24u
@@bramgp8921 yep it's still a mystery 🥲.. for me my 6a with a 60hz only panel scroll through g pay and google photos smoother than my current 8 with 120hz panel even with 60hz it's not on par with 6a dk what's happening here a series doing better with inferior hardware lol
I'm really torn between getting this phone because I love what pixel has done this year but I'm also like my phone is basically paid off and I have the s24 plus and I'm like I really want to get an ultra next year
OK Google also works in Android Auto. I use it for home smart functions. For example on the way home I will say OK Google turn A/C on turn driveway light on ect.
The choices of words made this video 😂😂 good shit bruh 🔥
LOL thank you for watching!!
same here! i was once an avid iphone lover...then i checked Pixel phones and for few days it was a struggle...but then its been more than 5-6 years now and I don't regret a bit.
Only 1 line
For now, I prefer Samsung, but I think the upcoming Pixel 10 series with TSMC chip will change that.
Yurrr I switched from Apple. I've had apple for 15 years.. my WP gave me a whole month to try it out. So far so good
I’ve been an iPhone user since 08.. lately I’ve been so bored with Apple. I feel like Google is doing a great job of being the middle man between Samsung and Apple. Going TMobile to check out one of the displays 🍍🍍🍍
Honestly, cant get any similar to you mate, I have a pixel 9 pro and drive a kona Nline too..
Pixel is the future of the smartphone world 🌎🤓🤘🏻
Using Pixel 4a since Dec 2020 and soon upgrading to Pixel 9 Pro! Super excited for this huge jump upgrade coz my Pixel 4a is still running smooth like a butter 🧈 like the day one except the battery is gone totally. So, I'm running it with the help of a powerbank all the time just to wait for the latest Pixel phones since a year 🥲🤞🏻🌱
I have been an iPhone user since 2010 and thought of upgrading from iPhone 14 Pro Max to the new iPhone 16 Pro Max but I ended up getting the new Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and I am just so happy with my decision.
@@renlybaratheon9683 Thanks!
I got a iPhone 16+ and returned it after a week for the pixel 9 pro xl.
iPhone 16 pro max is a aluminum frame and a very thin layer of titanium.
How’s the software holding up? I know it starts to get laggy after a certain amount of time that’s why I’ve been with iPhone the last couple of years.
That’s not true at all, at least not within the handful of years
I was playing with a pixel demo and I like making little photo widgets on my background and it only let me use google photos. it wasn't letting me select images to use and just did my WHOLE google photos. are you able to choose set photos for a photo widget?
Feel if Apple were to listen to there customers more and put more effort into updates and better updates to the iPhone each year rather than just producing a new chip and calling it the best iPhone EVER which in turn is not but just a copy and paste each year they may had done better - I feel they may have hit a brick wall as more people become frustrated and start to realise they are being ripped off each year . Apple need to get there mojo back and stop focusing on projects which are never gonna see the day of light ie Apple car which has been dumped and put more focus on what people want.
Would love to see the 1 month review!
I've been rocking an iPhone for the past six years, but I'm over it. Next year, I'm switching to the Samsung 25 Ultra. iPhones are cool, but they're just too boring for me.
I love Apple but this design it’s just so much better. And the colors… why am I not able to buy a pro max with that washed out pink? 😢
If a phone is boring it’s a good thing. Means you use it less and focus on what’s around you in the world.
I've been loving your content so much, thanks for all of you comprehensive reviews 🤗🍍
Ahh man thank you 🙌🙌❤️
What vehicle is that? Which ones work good like this with android?
Hey bro, I saw your Kona video. How do you like the car so far? I am planning on getting this same car. How’s the fuel economy?
🍍 Thanks. I'm making the switch and your video helped
