@@rimutrees Yes that was next guess. Tui are very colloquial and prolific in this region. It can be hard to tell their songs apart even when looking at them in the same tree while their going.

The kea seems to know when the child says kea, the bird responds to its name seemingly, very very smart little bird
Anthropomorphic. The Kea may solely be responding to the noise not the word, as you suggest.
