@@TaylorTheTormentor True but the water doesn't weigh as much as the cupcake batter. Just spreading out the ones you fill would work better and you wouldn't have to worry about spilling boiling water when you take out the cupcakes
I wonder if the water would possibly help keep the muffins moist though due to there being more moisture in the oven because of it. I also feel like if you put a minimal amount of water in the empty parts, it will boil down to being empty again depending on how long it takes to cook the muffins and how hot the oven is.
@@SuperMusiclover545 It could help keep regular muffins moist however it's unlikely to do anything with this type of muffin. If the water is a small enough amount to evaporate completely then it would be pointless in evening the weight of the tray or preventing any type of fire. I'm wondering if this is some sort of old wives tail or something that originated from the idea of waterbaths for things like custard
Lol, your muffins won't start a fire without water. Some breads call for a tray of water in the oven to make steam. It helps make softer crusts on bread and more moist other things. Also, grains go through different processes, so a different kind of oat might have a more cooperative cook time.
i always did something similar to this with mashed bananas, yogurt, honey, granola and a variety of toppings/mix ins like cocoa powder, peanut butter, chocolate chunks, fruit, etc 😍🤗
You actually add the water to allow for even cooking so that there is not just an empty hole. It is unnecessary tho and no fire will start without the water.
@@itsjustmyopinionbut1671 😬When was the last time you had carrot cake, or looked at a recipe. Literally all of these ingredients have been in carrot cakes I’ve had before. And kind of weird of you to be shading her now for trying to make herself a little something off of a loose recipe (I’ve seen people use banana and yogurt to make muffins before) after I gave you a reasonable answer of why the carrots were fine. Gurlie didn’t do anything besides make food for herself, she don’t need to be catching strays from you. 😰 TLDR: You thought you ate but you didn’t (But she clearly did 🤪)
@@benwyatt4081 lmao first off, let’s get one thing real crystal clear and straight here: this is a public forum where the PUBLIC gets respond. Your opinion matters no more than any other person’s on this forum although I’m sure you feel as though the world revolves around you and your own personal perceptions LOL oh, and FYI, you are one in 8 billion human beings… not everyone’s going to agree with you, Sis & and if that personally offends you, you should probably go touch some grass or take a nap. I know the concept of others having differing opinions than you is wild and crazy but welcome to reality! She chose to upload it. Who’s to say she doesn’t want feedback? Regardless, others have a right to comment as they please lmao I’m so sorry that you were personally offended that strangers disagreed with you in a comment section (not really?) Second of all, I don’t know what kind of weird recipes you’re trying, but traditional Carrot cake typically includes finely grated carrots for sweetness and moisture, all-purpose or cake flour as the base, granulated sugar for sweetness, eggs for structure, and either vegetable oil or melted butter for moisture. It sometimes contains cinnamon or added nuts and is usually topped with cream cheese frosting… not one single other ingredient in this video lololol but go off 😭😂😂🤣 😬I guess you didn’t eat either like you thought you did ? 🥺😂 (and good I hope Sis is eating 😂)
Just an fyi the water is unnecessary, its not going to catch fire or anything
It won’t catch fire, but if you’ve got a thin metal pan, the water weighs the empty cups down to prevent the pan from warping due to uneven heating.
