    I bought this PROYAMA saw needing a decent limbing saw for a big job i was doing. I honestly didn't expect it to last the whole job as I have always used husqvarna or other brand name saws. I have been truly amazed by this saw and its durability, workmanship, and dependability. I have since used this saw on over 100 tree jobs. It has done everything from limbing to cutting firewood to cutting down trees to milling. I am still using the original chain and bar. The chains that come with it are really aggressive. If you do start to lose power check and clean the air filter. As it gets clogged it will lower the performance but that will happen with all saws. I would highly recommend this saw to anyone. I have told logger friends and tree cutting friends about it and they have purchased some and love the saw.

      I ended up buying the Proyama to add to my chainsaw collection addiction. I have ran this a few times and agree with most of what you say, although I am not too pleased with the power, it seems to bog down easily compared to my MS251 and 455 Rancher which both zip through just about anything without bogging down. Assembly of the Proyama was a breeze, it seems to be good quality and chain is very aggressive like you say. Starting it for first time was a bit worrisome until I held throttle and then it fired right up. After the initial starting it has been easy to start just like my Stihls, Husqvarnas & Echos.
      I am running 32:1 mix for the first 2 tanks per the manual then I will run 40:1,
      My question is do you have any performance issues with ur Proyama bogging down and not having enough power for a so called 62CC.

    Hi Canuck, I was a Husqvarna dealer for 8 1/2 years. I have seven of them from 40cc to 93cc. I noticed the amp and guitars in the background. I bought ten cheap guitars in the last year, just to see how good they are. Let me tell you, they all are great! I bought a Proforma 70 cc saw last month, just to see if cheap chainsaws would follow suit. I haven't started the Proforma yet. I'll let you know my impressions, if it ever stops raining here in PA. Thanks for posting.😊 Shalom/gw. PS I believe God has talented children everywhere. Given the right conditions, they will produce excellence.

    Gasket is different, i actually cut my own out of gasket paper for all my saws, learned it from Iron Horse. Gasket and oiling holes drilled out a bit bigger will keep the bar oiled good.

    Hey 👋 question for you sir...with the air filter on this power saw. Can this filter be used on the supmix pinkway ect ect they are all of the same family? lol I have been trying to come up with a solution for a different kind of filter that comes on them saws. The fines will get around the fine filter that comes on them. Same filter that comes on the new crafsmans. I just ordered the same saw your unboxing in hope that it's filter will also fit my other Zenoah clones... thanks for your time 🙏

      Yeah they are all interchangeable, if you look at my other videos there is one doing a filter upgrade on a supmix.. The filter assembly was about 4$ Canadian from aliexpress

    Great video. How did it perform for ya? I just bought one but it will only start run for 2 seconds then die. Any ideas? Im tthinkin fuel delivery problem or bad crank seal? It has lots of compression and spark.

      @@chainsawcanuck yeah it was way outta adjustment and wouldnt start at all so i went in all way and out a turn n half on low and high screws. Now it starts but dies after a second or two. Ive tried making small adjustments to no avail.

    • @garretgauthier685
      @garretgauthier685 7 місяців тому

      Follow up: it ended being a broken low adjustment screw...tip snapped off in carb blocking passage. I attempted to extract but it was too tiny and wedged. I got a replacement carb from Proyama after months wait. Then same thing low screw came snapped amd jammed. I verified this by removing right from brand new before even screwing in any adjustment. So i got fed up and put it on shelf. Then it occurred to me I have an old spare Poulan carb. Carb parts mostly all contactable so i used the new Proyama guts to rebuild the old Poulan Carb and I swapped the fuel pump impulse cover off the Proyama and it fit on the other carb. She fired right up and runs great. Im super happy now. Very loud open muffler with two exit pipes but she screams and quick revver. Ive been enjoying your videos and appreciate the knowledge. One last question for you if you have time. I recall in your videos you saying they are around 50cc despite their claimed size. This one is claimed 68cc 20" and 24" bar. have you ever measured that particular one? Is it also just a 50cc? Thanks for your time.

    I'm actually looking at one of these cells. I think it's a pro yama 68cc with a 24-in bar and chain and I think he comes with a 20-in 3/8.05 eighths wondering what's your thoughts upon you saw as the scene of video of a gentleman that has looks like a tree servicing business and said that this all runs really nice once you kind of break it in after 4 to 5 tanks and says that he does like it as a mid-size saw. Just wanted to buy this as I have an older Husqvarna 61 and don't want to go and spend over 1200 for a saw that's just going to sit around with all this kind of looking at this

      Just remember that these generic zenoah clones are never the displacement they claim, like the one in the video is marketed as 62cc its only 49.3cc, the 68cc one is probably only 54.5cc
      On Amazon there is a supmix saw that goes on sale often for 159.99 canadian , it's a 54.5cc version and even tho plastics are different mechanically identical to the proyama, except the supmix does not have the performance killing catalytic muffler that the proyama saws have

    Notable with the Proyama saw that I bought was that there are NO ASSEBLY INSTRUCTIONS even though, in the manual, it says "assembly" in the contents. NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS!!! Next, is that the manual says to specifically use the bar and chain oil provided...there isn't any provided! It's hilarious in an "I knew it" sort of way. I could smell gasoline when I sniffed the gas tank so I am pretty sure that they do run them at the factory.

      They for sure test them, another brand the supmix on amazon, Same saw different plastic unboxed it pulled on the cord and it fired for a second.. Lol wife wasn't happy was in house.
      Don't know if mine even had a manual.. Lol but I know the actual displacement of these things is never as advertised mine measured out as 49.3cc which commonly marketed as 52cc or 58cc, it's a bit of a crap shoot.. Lol
