  • In this video, I head into Swaledale in The Yorkshire Dales, in search of ruins from the areas lead mining past. This once-deadly industry subjected many local people to it's heavily toxic practices and I get to see for myself the legacy it has left behind.

Watched now all your vids... they are getting better... I guess personally, I dont like Lith printing, hence which is why i dont like the grain... but its all personal preference at the end of the day. Glad you are getting out and enjoying these beautiful spots.

@@stevef2114 I agree, lith printing isn’t to everyone’s taste and there are times when I won’t use it as it just doesn’t work as well as traditional silver gelatin or inkjet. I should also add that not all lith printers do it the same way that I do and some opt for an image with less grain and more clarity. Check out the work of Tim Rudman and Wolfgang Moersch, both master lith printers whose work you may find more to your taste. Thanks for watching the videos, I’m trying to improve every time I make a new one but it’s definitely a steep learning curve.

I printed it using lith printing chemicals and techniques which helps to reduce clarity, definition and adds grain to the image. Not everyone’s cup of tea but I like the looks you can get from printing this way. Thanks for watching.
