Its the cover of a book about places in New England that inspired Lovecraft.. I created this video.. It was originally on a channel that youtube gutted called Deadnest.. There is still a facebook Deadnest..
This was a great reading! I always wondered though why "Asenath" wanted a human body though; she already had the body of a Deep One hybrid, would've become immortal by default
Maybe the soul transferal isn't proper and won't last the transformation? After all Ephram was full human. Maybe there is some incompatibility between him and becoming a deep one.
Does anyone know the source the the image used in this vid? pretty sure its the "haunter of the dark" rather then the "thing on the doorstep" but I like the illustration and was wondering if there were more by the same artist.

There's something to that, however Lovecraft was writing for pulp magazines whose editors probably pushed for starting off with MURDER!!! to hook people, before getting into context and exposition.

I was just wondering the same thing.

@@toktulug5690 Sadly no :(
@@Sideway8 Search in the comments of "Black Mountain transmitter-Black goat of the woods". The answer lies there.
@@mariusacripina8192 Could you be _a little more specific_ there are nearly 2000 comments on that video

Think this tale would've been better served by not giving away the end at the beginning and less foreshadowing.
