- Childhood friend of my brother's, who was the Head Writer for THE OFFICE on NBC, gave us a personal, private VIP tour of the entire set while we were on vacation in California!
Check out the photos too... back then (2012) I did not have a great video camera... not even sure my iPhone too video... may have used a Flip camera! but did get these pictures. www.facebook.c...
I would cry so hard if I was given the chance to step foot into that office wow
angel Facts
same
Same here. I would cry and roll on the floor. If there's a camera recording me, I would look in it and smirk like jim does. 😂
angel hip
I found the building's address and I'm going to visit it next week !
You're literally stepping on holy ground.
Legit.
Thy don't need prayers to enter thos holy land
@@Film_Fanatic_official I know yet he seems so UNEXCITED about it.. Hes just like la la... ok... lets go. Lmao.. I would be looking at EVERY single detail. IT would of been such a long video! Just thinking of each episode and what happened with those items. UGH... I wish someone else had this chance and could of appreciated it and gave us a longer video. I dont think this guy is even a true fan...
@@dodge33445 plenty of excitement and tons of details. just only so much you can do on a video (and not look like a MORON in front of the head writer who was giving us a private tour...) facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10100192742549386&type=3
@@jeffcornett I understand, and thank you for the link to the photos! appreciate it!
I was waiting for Dwight to walk in and say something like "what are you people doing here? You aren't official employees! You need to GET OUT!! NOW!! This is your first warning."
3 of those and you get a citation
3 of those and your looking at a verbal warning
@@nickcastaneda203 hand them over to your supervisor, he might give you a full disadulation and you definitely dont wanna know what that does
I actually don‘t think that Dwight would give first warnings. He only knows last warnings
I actually don‘t think that Dwight would give first warnings. He only knows last warnings
the should open it to the public, make it into a museum and charge admission. I'd definitely go
3 years later and its still a great show and idea
3 weeks later and it’s still a good show and idea
It’s a filming studio which I don’t think they would like if they had a private property used as a museum where they still film
1 year later it’s still a good show
9 months later and it’s still a great show and idea
If i was there i will say everybody in conference room 5 minutes
we did. and in the kitchen and snack room and the warehouse and other rooms and offices just not all shot.
Jeff Cornett so it’s a real building?
@flamingoblob Yeah it's a real building, they had to make it look real for the sake of the mockumentary
@@shrektacular3878 the office part used to be a part of a real building but it changed to a set in season 2 and some years later the original floor was demolished.
The set, however, is in a building that's next to the office exterior in the show, which is where the warehouse scenes are recorded too
I've never been more jealous in my life
I found the building's address and I'm going to visit it next week
@@benpadrick6861 I did actually! At night
@@benpadrick6861 I should have made a short video on it
imagine all the scenes you could act out... i'd be a total geek if i were lucky enough to set foot on this set. lol.
literally same
I’d sit at everyone’s stations even Toby’s just too take it in
omg omg these are the luckiest ppl on earth
i cried when it said Andy Bernard on Micheal's desk
its because this was filmed during season 8
No reason to cry then. It said ANDREW Bernard, on MichAEl's desk
Oh my God I would burst into tears as soon as I step foot in there

if i had to choose to go to Hawaii or go tour this set, I would choose going here oh my gosh that's my dreammmmm
So lucky, I really wish I could go there. I wish the building was ACTUALLY in Pennsylvania because that's where I live. If I ever go to California someday, there's got to be some way I can see this!
it is in scranton, it was in california for the 1st season
dankmemes.mp4 No it’s actually in LA, in the
Van Nuys District. You can go see it
This show helped me through a lot. Must be awesome being there
I'd just sit here and cry.
Who else can't help but wish they just came back and did one or two more seasons....totally don't care if they all aged still would love to even see a reuinion show
not the entire original cast... but part of it... in a reboot.

Jeff Cruz thank you so much bro just made my year!!!!!
maybe a Christmas spacial. rebooting always ruins it
Sitting at the desk of Dwight K. Schrute would be both awesome and terrifying
So lucky to be able to do this. I would probably just start crying .
SO JELOUS
Jealous* lol
Man those kids just calm! I would be screaming with happiness
I was surprised that no one picked up the phone at reception and go "Thank you for calling Dunder Mifflin, This is so and so" or just straight up make a reference in the conference room. I would have 😂😂😂 That is a missed opportunity
we did pick up the phones at the other's desks... they work. dial tone. Computers worked too. they said the cast would actually surf the web and talk in the phones during down time.
Jeff Cornett what I meant was for one of you to pretend to pick up the phone and say "Dunder Mifflin, this is so and so"
@@korazy we did LOTS of pretending. fake meetings in the conference room, stuff in michael's office and at dwight's and Jim's desk, but not at the front desk.
Fantastic of you to post this video Jeff, this show is close to my heart. Thank you for this opportunity

Jeff Cornett nice bro thanks for the link. Cherish those memories.
Yo, if I had the chance to step inside that office, I would friggin freak out 😂😂
This should stay there for centuries. It’s scared.
this is so cool, this show gets more legendary as time goes on
It really does!!
Jeff Cornett, Thanks for the tour. I have a feeling "Adam The Woo" (TheDailyWoo) would LOVE to see this set. He often vlogs filming locations.
I've seen all 8 seasons three times... really I went down the episode list on Netflix 3 times since I started watching it three years ago
Jayy Brezzy there’s 9
Sooo you missed a whole season 3 times ???
Those are rookie numbers
Bruh I’ve seen it so many times, I don’t even remember bro (has to be at least 30)
Who’s watching this in quarantine?
Not sure why this was in my recommendation but I’m not complaining
they should preserve the set as a tourist attraction
I would literally give anything just to step foot in that building
How cool if the actors where there and have to stay in character for the people touring.
they were not. they were on a break from shooting that week before they filmed their last 5 episodes. Otherwise we would not have had that access.
i'd start crying if I got to do this
Ohh that Michael Scott chair...thats a sacred chair.
literally so lucky
This would be so surreal
it was
This would be the best day of the entirety of my life if I got to go here
Hands down he coolest thing ever
it looks soo lived in, awesome
Not being dramatic but i would literally cry if i was there
Damn I wish I could go to the set of the office If I did I would probably have someone film me sitting in Jim’s chair and I would look straight into the camera and do a Jim face

who knew that a simple office that millions hate to go to everyday would be an attraction?
I could re-create this in MC just by remembering everything
I already did lmao
I wonder how it looks like so many years later
Careful! Rumour has it that Creed is still lurking around the premises!
Sitting in Micheal’s chair is like sitting in a throne.
It's so beautiful
Me: I NEED TO GO THERE
My Mom: It's just and offi----
Me: ITS THE MOST IMPORTANT DAMN OFFICE THAT HAD EVER COME TO BE
It’s sad seeing the place empty
I have a question, is the set actually on the 2nd floor of that famous Dunder Mifflin building? And is the warehouse at the same building location? The show often shows the camera looking outside the window from the office, down to the parking lot so it seems like it is filmed in the actual building, but I can't figure out where the windows align. From the outside, there are 5 large double pane windows, but from the inside, it looks like multiple single pane windows in Michael's office, and two in the conference room. So which window would Michael's office be?
Siscast the exterior shot of the office building is actually their production studio. it's also used for 'looking out of the window' scenes. the actual office and warehouse sets are on a soundstage next to the production office.
From what I heard, the Office set is actually filmed in that building but the window scenes are actually writers offices and when they need the scene they recreate that office to look like Michael's office or the conference room. But the warehouse is in a soundstage next to the building.
Michael Skaggs is correct. the main building you see on the show is there. first floor is literally just the enterance, little snack bar in the lobby and the fake elevator. out the back of the elevator is the entire warehouse. writers rooms are in the front part of the upstairs. Behind that building was a LARGE warehouse and inside that was the soundstage with the entire set (where this was filmed) and those are fake windows behind Michaels desk and conference room.
You had a chance to tour The Office set and you took less than two minutes of video? Really?? And if you did take more video, you torture us with less than two minutes of it? Really??? Why? Why??
DITTo!!!!!!!!!

They should’ve left it and made it a tourist attraction. Is the set in the actual building or is it on a sound stage.
It's not in Hollywood it's in Panorama City, CA 91402.
Watching the office currently
OMG so lucky that place feels like home yo me even tho I've never been there haha
You are really lucky Man!!!
I've added this place to my list
People should rebuild this set and like charge 5 bucks for the hour it’s a brillliant idea. I even found the set blueprints online
0:55 you get the chance to walk in the set of The Office and you don’t even know the names? I’d kill for a chance to get a tour there
So jealous !!!!!
I am extremely jealous
I used to go to the same camp! Good times at Camp Cosby.
I would not be able to hold my composure and probably ruin all my time on the set if I ever had this opportunity.
probably the place I'd want to go most int he whole world, how nerdy of me haha.
Dude this is so cool 😢
iconic
They should’ve kept it as a tourist attraction
They srsly don’t know how lucky they are
Oh my god, I want to go so bad🥺😭
My question is, is the set in the building they show? How do they do the scenes when they look out the window into the parking lot if it's a separate building?!
VISITING FILMING LOCATIONS FROM "The Office" // Vlog 21
search this on UA-cam the channel is called Blake Anderson
the rest of all the other sets, are on a soundstage in a big metal building behind the main office building facade. so in the scenes when they are in the office, conference room, those are not real windows... but just fake with light shining up behind them.
check out the photos... back then (2012) I did not have a great video camera... not even sure my iPhone too video... may have used a Flip camera! but did get these pictures. facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10100192742549386
i think nowadays the set is probably thrown away and some furnitures is given to all actors/actress for tribute.
Since the show is over now, what are they doing with the set?
+Austin Marek Im guessing they tore it down. If I remember correctly Jenna said that they get to keep a couple of things from the set before they tear it down.
+SuperSo1234 if thats true, thats sad to see such an iconic set be destroyed... should be put into the universal tour
+Austin Marek agreed I would pay top dollar for that tour
+Austin Marek it would not be on any tour, as it was not in a hollywood backlot. it was actually built in an office park area at the end of a long street so I am sure they either sold it and tore it down OR may have sold it to another show to use since the sets and soundstages are still great.
They could always relocate it somehow. If part of the Two and a Half Men set and Friends sets can be relocated, so can part of the Office.
Thank you for sharing :)
Legit the biggest flex ever
I wish they actually did the shows in the places they say they are in
Wow! This is so cool! :-D
I would've left a sticky note under Ryan's desk saying he started the fire
No visit to the annex or break room? First thing Id do is go through Meredith's desk

I envy you
So disrespectful of those kids to sit on the chair of the Legendary michael g scott
Cool
How lucky 😢
Was the set actually on the second floor? or was the actual office somewhere in the inner part of the building? The Windows on the outside of the building don't match up with the way the internal office is constructed. Just curious! Great score on actually getting inside the building and a tour!
no. the building you see that looks like the office building (with the parking lot in front and second floor windows, is actually the lobby, fake elevator, and then the rest of it is the warehouse. Except for a few small offices where the writers and director work which are the ones on top second floor (just in the front) that in the show look like the office windows. they ONLY shot up there, when they needed to be looking out those windows down to the parking lot.
the rest of all the other sets, are on a soundstage in a big metal building behind the main office building facade. so in the scenes when they are in the office, conference room, those are not real windows... but just fake with light shining up behind them.

@@jeffcornett Wow, Thanks for sharing that. You probably have one of the very best tours videos of The Office in the world!
So cool! Creed didnt pop somewhere?
This is unfair. I wanted to be the boss for once.✨
Probably a ridiculous question but..... is that place still available to tour to the public?
Doubtful. This was a few years ago, about three months before they wrapped shooing the series. I suspect they took down the set since then.
nope, they tore it down. www.reddit.com/r/DunderMifflin/comments/a4m0eq/rainn_wilson_went_back_to_dunder_mifflin_and/
I would fucking drop to the floor and start bawling omg that would be amazing
It’s a set but it was built just like the real office they used in season one
Nice.
I’m 200th subbbbb
Those kids have no idea where they’re at
they do now... and they LOVE the show... they are all 18-19 now.
was this an actual set or was it in the building depicted on the show?
Both. The building depicted in the show is real. The top floor is the writers rooms where the show is written. The only time they film up there is when they have to actually film out the windows into the front parking lot. The downstairs is the front door which incorporates the the store, and the elevator, which is fake if you go through the back of the elevator, you are in the warehouse. So the existing building primarily is warehouse and offices. That they actually use.
Off to the side kind of bane the main building is a soundstage building. Inside of it is all of the actual sets and that’s where you see it walking around most of the time.
@@virtuallysellitbut the windows on the inside are different than the windows on the outside if you actually look close. I’ve done a lot of research and was always just curious as a couple of things posted online don’t really add up
@@virtuallysellitI know they used a set and al but just a few things I was always curious about
WERE IS THIS PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!T E L L M E. N O W!!!!I NEED IT.
It was filmed on a soundstage in/near LA, but it has since been deconstructed unfortunately. The exterior can still be visited.
If that was a hot set I feel bad for the SD and PD
it was NOT a hot set that week. they were on a break from shooting right before they filmed the last 5 episodes. Otherwise we would not have had that access
Is it weird cause John and Jenna have different spouses now :|
Oh my god
I’d enter like: *climbs on desk* PARKOUR
Is the set still there or did they tear it down?
matthew mcnicholas it’s gone since the office finished I think it’s film studio
Is this in a legit office building or on a film stage in Hollywood?
Kinda both. It was a real building in a real office district, but The building you see that they are “in” is actually just the front lobby and elevator. Behind that is the warehouse. The upstairs windows that are supposed to be their offices are actually the writer’s offices for the show.
Behind the building, there is (was) soundstage building built with the actual offices and other sets inside of it.
You can see a lot more of the surroundings in the photo gallery I created on Facebook. m.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10100192742549386
