Here's why I think Buckethead is so unheard of. Most people listen to music that they have to pump on full volume to fully enjoy the song, where Buckethead it simply has to be playing for you to feel what he's putting into the music. Most people simply cannot hear how great Buckethead is because they've gone deaf from all the crap people call music.
Buckethead's use of the killswitch from 2:32 to 2:50 is pure perfection. He and Travis Dickerson seriously make some of the best music I've ever listened to.
It's a lot deeper than a gimmick... The power in no way "exists in the bucket", that's dumb... though i truly believe he has stage fright and general anxiety about fame being bestowed upon himself, Brian Caroll. Through the use of the bucket he can be alleviated of those issues and can thus play for people all the time and keep making the type of music he wants
Well, when he played in a band (before Buckethead), he said he wanted to do some experimental music, and to match to that experience he made this persona, so it wouldn't be weird or strange to hear that exquisite sound.
Why do you guys even care if he gets media exposure? Just enjoy BH making sweet love to that guitar and shut up already! If anything, Buckethead probably doesn't want to be majorly famous.
