I think the ONF Flat Nano Led is one of the best aquarium leds for your nano tank. It has a good build quality, strong output and very sleek style. Im definitely going to get a few more of these leds for the fish room!

Seeing Richard just reminded me: have you tried a neutral density filter on your lens for the tougher aquarium shots? We used to use them for live outside shoots where light could be unpredictable and changing exposure wasn’t practical. Haven’t tried one on fish tanks, but they’re cheap and should help keep your fish from washing out without fiddling with the shutter. Great video, as usual!
A trick : you can watch series on flixzone. I've been using it for watching loads of movies lately.

You have the fluval nano holding clamp set up backwards. Flip the clamp with the screws facing inwards. That should fix your positions problem . Both great lights though !

So which one is better? I like how the fluval is bluetooth and has a built in timer right? The other one doesnt but has alittle more par rating
I actually bought a aquaneat and the nicrew light, both have white and blue LEDS. The nicrew is a bit too strong for my tiny nano planted aqueon 2.5 minibow tank. Which one should I use? The nicrew has about 6 watts and the aquaneat has 0.5 watts. I have hornwort and elodea densa with some mini super red lugwiguia.

Great review! I have the ONF 90 pendant. Can you do a PAR review of that? I've been considering growing hairgrass at the substrate and I think it's got enough PAR to do it but it would be interesting to see what the PAR value is.

Too expensive for my blood, but most of those designer lights are. I'm more than happy with the Asta 20's I use, they've done very well for me over the past couple years. And I can get almost three of them for the price of one of those. Plus I get that really awesome Kessil/metal halide shimmer with them.
I'm wondering if the PAR value goes down at all with time. The fluval was not new out of the box and the ONF was.
Where I live, you just get the light that they have in the store and hope for the best. Interesting thought....what about algae issues with such a bright light? Have you asked the fish's opionion and if they will need sunglasses?

I'm confused, I've heard Cory say that blue light is what algae loves and you are saying it's green that algae uses. I've heard multiple people say both thing's. Which is it?

That’s a great light but it’s not available in South Africa sadly , we have lack of nice modern aquarium lights in our country.

I made it to 1:36 after hearing it's only for rimless tanks. I've got a porta lamp clamped to my window for light and I don't think in getting enough even distribution of it. It won't reach far enough to sit directly overhead.
Any ideas for a rimmed tank light that isn't a full hood? ( Full hood won't work with how my filter has to be settup)

Yeah but without am app to control the sunrise and sunset or temperature of the colors and more fhe fluval is way better unless you are happy to have a simple timer and iluminate your fish every day from total darkness to light with noithing gradual. I think this is comparing kind of apples with pears.
Well done, just a critic, when using the apogee par meeter, use a stick or let it hang in the soil. Your hand cover a big chunk of the real PAR value.

oh no everyone on instagram got to you.......please people do not buy this. The heat dissipation on these lights are terrible, there pretty much is no heat sink for this light. They have high powered LEDs so they get very hot quickly which means they most likely wont last the full 50000hrs that most LEDs will have, I've heard people getting maybe 1 year out of these lights, if anyone gets longer, it's very rare

Derp Gaming I’ve had this light for 3 months now works just fine. The casing does get warm on highest light setting but nothing to be worried about. My shrimp tank just pops with this light better than anything I’ve seen or used.
@@chadjohnson438 yeah ive heard tons of great things about it, and it does look good. i just wouldn't want to take that risk on a $100 light. Also the Company is kinda scummy, they send a ton of big aquarists their lights for free and tell them to say good things about them. again, the lights themselves look great, and the light they emit also looks great. if it works for you dont change it.
