Trust me, I'm here from the future, and you are. You are an amazing group of kids and inspirations to so many. The fact that people are still paying attention months later, says a lot❤️

This comment by gary cowick ^^^ is an example of how someone touting any agenda can just make up lies without any documentation to back up their "theory." The entire comment is void of facts. This kind of rhetoric is dangerous and must not be tolerated. Free speech is a wonderful thing but not when one is peddling conspiracy theories!

These young adults are the most articulate, intelligent, assertive, bravest snd magnificent generation I have ever seen in my more than 5 decades years of living. I have been saying & feeling that the young people will be the ones to show positive & progressive leadership and compassion one day in the future and I now have lived to witness this as fact. I am not so cynical today as I was in the past 37 years, since Pres. Ronald Reagan and his cohorts came into power in the gov't. I hope I live to see great change come about ASAP.
I have been a Trauma Survivor Counselor/Advocate, Early Childhood Educator and currently a Teacher Leader in an Summer & After-School program .

If we take away the guns, will any would-be-gunman just find another way to harm others if he is intent on doing so? Wil he instead go onto youtube, buy items off the internet and from the hardware store, and simply build a homemade bomb? Will he purchase some gasoline and matches and set a fire? Will he borrow his parents car and drive it into a crowd?
We of course applaud this amazing young woman. Emma Gonzalez, in particular, is remarkably courageous and articulate (and we are blown away by her maturity, passion and strength. And, we believe these kids did/do truly want to effect change here. It is just so unfortunate that they have been so misled away from the key factors that truly enabled this horror, eg: misfeasance and nonfeasance by state, local and federal law enforcement: state and local failure to help the mentally ill; and woefully inadequate school safeguards and plans to protect students against such horrific violence.
If the adults, politicians and celebrities involved here really wanted to help these great kids and make their schools safer, they would educate them on the real enablers behind this violence and guide them towards understanding the most likely way to effect change. The most effective thing anyone could do here would be to work WITH all the key powerful voices (and the NRA is undeniably one of them) to try and force change in the way that the authorities address known threats, the local communities help the mentally ill, and the schools plan to better protect students against future threats.
Of course, that doesn't go very far towards silencing other political voices and gaining new voters, which is why the greedy political forces at play here are misguiding these valiant and eager young hearts and minds. Shame on them!

VeganWorld Peace If you really are a counselor will you answer honestly. What do you think is the main cause of school shootings? Could it be more kids are in broken homes, that more kids are on antidepressants than ever before, that so many kids parents are on drugs. Studies have shown that social media is causing same damage to the brain as other addictions. Many of these kids with problems were born addicted to drugs their self. I truly believe cellphone are more damaging to teenagers today than guns. All the social media has caused them to live in some la la land. One of the saddest things in all of this to me is the first things kids do now is to pull out cellphones to record. At Florida shooting you could see a body and kids just standing there recording, not one of them trying to help or give comfort. The police having to yell constantly put cellphone down and them not listening. Their calling news stations instead of family. Something is wrong with these kids.

Sally Shaded i am not person you asked but did work in (retired) school system. The students do have myriad challenges but the worst is income inequality. This is the problem that keeps getting kicked down the road for decades. There is nothing wrong with them. Majority of Americans have never seen real death, sheltered from it. I think as hard as it is to see, news must show the permanence of pulling that trigger on a living thing. As for "pulling cell phone out, recording", I bet they were in shock. Our minds react strangely to an out of order event.
I am so hopeful to see these young people take to the streets after decades of apathy. I hope they learn, get involved in all levels of government. They seem nationwide to think we adults are too busy fighting over petty stuff that they must fight for their future.
The song was beautiful, I cried.

Thank you to everyone who marched today. You kids are remarkable. I've waited decades for real change in this country, and I can just feel it in my heart that the NextGen will be the ones to bring it. You are the future of this country, and I hope I live long enough to see what today's youth can accomplish. YOU can make America GREAT! Thanks for spreading the message about how important the power of the vote is. Our representatives in DC are supposed to work for us. We, the People! They should not be beholden to big business and big money lobbyists. If politicians won't listen to OUR voices, our messages and our pleas, VOTE THEM OUT!!

It is ignorant, emotionally manipulated sheep like yourself who will bring about the death of freedom in this country. You have fallen for a gigantic hoax. The shooting in Parkland did not happen. It was a drill gone live, just like all the others since Aurora and Sandy Hook. The "survivors" are actors. CBS reporters have been embedded and have been following them around since February 15th. You are the worst kind of sheep, crying to the government masters to take away not only your own freedom to own a gun and defend yourself, but mine as well.

to Lauren Tennent: No one else thinks for me. I think for myself. Alex Jones is a fraud (controlled opposition.) Here you go again wishing the STATE would lock away people who can factually demonstrate with actual research how you have been hoodwinked and controlled, because you can't handle the truth. Learn about the repeal of the Smith-Mundt Act, July 2, 2013, the effect of which allowed the government to propagandize the public via mainstream news. tinyurl.com/qa6ucuk tinyurl.com/y7fxpwtb

Lauren Tennent: You are utterly braindead, a mind controlled zombie so far gone you can't even distinguish that your thoughts are not your own. You are a husk of a human running a program that was installed by your masters. You don't know what sovereignty means, nor do you want the responsibility of it. You have the emotional development of a child, always in search of big daddy government to "protect" you. And most importantly you are a coward of the highest order and a willfully ignorant slave. ua-cam.com/video/qlpODYhnPEo/v-deo.html

I'm laughing so hard, so many conspiracy theorists flocked to this comment. Did anyone else read all of their comments in Alex Jone's voice? "Manipulated sheep! Mind controlled zombie! Libtards drinking the Kool-aid! You can't handle the truth!", these guys are extra as hell. Anyway, I totally agree with you, Lauren. These kids are the future. I was at the rally and their passion, eloquence, and dedication to making a change brought tears to my eyes.

The girl at the piano has been my best friend since kindergarten. I miss her so much and I can't wait for the day I get to see her and my friends again. Some of my friends were also survivors in Parkland. I honestly don't know what I would of done if anything happened to them. Prayers go to them and all the other families going through this. Even though I'm far away, I'm here to support them and anyone else who is going through this.

As tears run down my cheeks listening to this wonderful and moving song, this 58 year old is truly inspired by the actions of the young people who have taken this cause for their rallying cry!
The road is still long and tedious, remember it is a marathon and not a sprint. I live in California which currently has the most restrictive gun laws in all the 50 states, consider using our laws as a template and I challenge the other 49 states to make your's even tighter. Love And God bless.

Andrew Johnson Crying is natural and you are so smart to be fearless and show that strong emotion you and we all feel. This is a present time powerful movement lead by strong youth full of highly emotionally moving events, wise words, speeches, music and deep grief, so please try to not hold in your normal human emotions. A quote to ponder..."If individuals and societies demean and judge boys for the expression of their pain and other deep emotions, they will sometime, one day cry bullets"

From the looks of it, there were a lot more people at this country-wide march than there was at trump's inauguration. In fact, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this was the largest audience to ever witness a students' march PERIOD, both in person and around the globe.
(I'll bet Spicy is so happy that he no longer has to lie for with this administration.)

The girl I babysit got a Hydroflask for Christmas. Today she started to tell me how good of a weapon it would be in school instead of “throwing the iPads like frisbees how they tell us.” I had to stop her before I started sobbing. She’s ten years old.

As a gun owner i wish these kids could realize that law abiding gun owners like myself want nothing more than to protect themselves and who they love including innocent children and anyone that comes under attack by an evil person, owning guns doesn't make you a bad person its the person holding the gun that makes the difference they can be evil and thats when bad things happen its the hate in the person not the gun

They do realize this, they don't want to take your guns away or your 2nd amendment, they just want to make it harder for the bad people to get the guns. They have said this several times, just so many will not listen.

    • @rebeccaabel4589

No one is going take guns away and yes they are responsible law abiding citizens who are gun owners. We also need to value life no one values life anymore and that's the core issue we need to address.

They’re not taking your guns. They’re taking away machines that are made for war, they’re making it harder for bad people to get weapons. You can have your gun that is not a AK-15 that is made to kill mass amount of people. No one needs a killing machine for self defense. Hand-guns that are made for protection can’t shoot so many bullets. Accessories that makes a semi-automatic machine into a full automatic one’s should be banned from the public for the safety of our students, including myself. I plan to own a gun in the future for protecting myself and my home but I will not own a machine that shoots more than enough bullets in a small span of time

john doe i like guns too, but i can’t control people’s state of mind and neither can you. We have evil in our hearts and lethal weapon can be use by the devil to do bad thoughts to others. Travel to many other parts of the world and they don’t need guns

    • @bradknight9569

The Beanie other countrys need guns whether they let there populace to own them or not is one thing you better beleive the government has them thats why we see mass genocide in other countrys where people cant defend themselves

These kids in the drama club hold no hard feelings because they weren't ethnic enough (Emma) or soy boy anorexic enough (David) to do the national tour leading up to Saturday's White Kids With Problems concert. So, kudos to them!
