I am a brand new signing agent and I found this video to be extremely helpful. I'm glad I found you. Everyone else that I have found only wants to talk about how glorious that it is but they don't talk about different things that they like and dislike. I've only found one other person to do that and you explain yourself really well. You have such a good personality about you that it's reassuring. Thank you so much again for the video.
Firstly thank you for all of the videos you've done they have been super helpful! This is a question that I have what is a reasonable fee to charge that doesn't lower the field standard?
Hey Lovely! Do you have a video that really digs into the nitty gritty of the difference between working for a signing service vs. a direct client as a loan signing agent... and then something that explains why you want to go direct and how?
I don't but it is very simple. When you work direct with title companies, you skip the middle man so you can almost make double what you make with signing services. Then there is the fact that you can get repeat business if you nurture those relationships. Working direct you are most likely going to get booked for more than one assignment at a time, so you are not driving all over the place. Then the benefit of not having to print the documents because they will be ready for you at the location most of the times.
@@sadiai3144 yes definitely...that is why the next step is to market yourself directly to escrow officers. Then there is no printing and you might be called to do a few in one sitting. I did a video about how much I make on an average day. I do not work all days of the month depending on what my other business needs so every month is different.
@@SPNotarySigningAgent your lucky because everyone gets work from SS companies that they travel hour each way! so we make about 33/hr not $100 in reality not including gas ,paper & print and taxes :(
@@sadiai3144 I am not sure how. Let us take an example where the fee is $100 for a refinance. Printing cost for a 150 page loan packet with borrower copy is around $25. If you drive about 20 miles round trip, gas is about $10. That is $35 total cost. Let us add another $5 for miscellaneous, which brings the total cost to $40, leaving you with $60.
I send a text after I confirm with the signers which has a few reminders one of which is to secure all pets and have someone to watch kids and a few more instructions. When they open their door if the pets are not secured, I tell them I will wait outside so they can secure their pets. If they say their pet is friendly, I tell them it is company policy or that I am allergic depending on the situation. I am a little allergic to cats.
I am not sure about CA but in TX the fee is $6. That said, you do not enter the fee at loan signings because the signer is not paying you directly, but the signing service who hired you is. So you enter nothing in TX.

@Jasmine and @Trish, I or other notaries must not discuss fees as we may violate the Sherman Antitrust Act.

Yes, I will plan to make a video about that soon. Thank you :-)
Can signing done in a home in Texas?
Yes, most signers do prefer their home. Unless it is a cash out or a HELOC which need to be done at a title company, lender or attorney office.
I’m surprised u didn’t mention being in a car all day and driving all the time . ! That would be my worse thing and eating in the go in a car :/
I don't mind that as much. I listen to music and I don't take assignments over 30 minutes away. :-)
@@SPNotarySigningAgent thats awesome but does that cut down the amount u make? also can you make "how much money u make in a day month video"?

How do you deal with pets in houses?

Thank you for that information.Be bless
Remote check deposit on your financial institutions app would help get those checks deposited!!!
I do deposit my checks on my mobile phone. It is still something I put off more than I should.
What is the amount you enter in the fee section of your california journal for a loan signing or gnw?
