I have seen several southern films as they are watched a lot in north India. And in most of the films I saw there were stupid unrealistic scenes that pass off as hilarious. I liked Bahubali even though that too had some unrealistic scenes. Bollywood comparatively does better in that department. Recently some good movies have come out of southern film industries though. Bollywood isn't remotely the best nor are all bollywood movies good. A lot of them can be crap. Recently bollywood has just become a copy cat of south films and movies like Kabir Singh show declining bollywood standards although few good movies still come out of bollywood like gully boy. But bollywood used to be better than how it is currently about 10 years ago.
I have also watched many Hindi movies and was awe struck for how talented the actors are, and also there were other scenarios where I didn't like their acting. I don't see any problem with him expressing his thoughts on his debut in bollywood. If it doesn't sit well with few, they may stop watching his movies. He has huge fandom who loves him for his acting and also for the person he is.

Major was the first south indian film (telugu) I went to see in theatres.. hindi dubbed one... And i was hella impressed by how good it was. I regret not watching RRR in cinemas now.. anyways Telugu cinema is bigger than bollywood now. So he is right. Bollywood really can't afford him. It was not dubbed in Hindi. It was a Bilingual movie (Shot in Telugu and Hindi). Meaning the actors and actresses had to work twice - once for Telugu and the other for Hindi.

When South Indian movies are dubbed it loses its essence. When movies are dubbed in Hindi, they completely change the sense of dialogue is delivered and they portray South Indians with comic Hindi accent, that is why South Indians are made fun of because that is how the North portrays them. If you really wish to dub movies why not do it right.
@@iam7389 If you look at bharath ane nenu hindi version ..they gave punjabi and bihar/UP accent to some charcters who are party members ..for what??and also in nennokadine hindin version ek ka dum ..the scenes were cut and important dialogues and also dialogues were wrongly dubbed like he saod in telugu whuch meant " veham ka yahi advantage hai /this is the advantage of hallucination " bcs he was schizophrenic in that movie but the hindi versions show " veham me tujhe advantage milta tha " ....which totally change the meaning like according to hindi version this dialogue implies that he already know he isnt hallucinating but in telugu version the character thought he is hallucinating And also in his movie khaleja which is dubbed as jigar kaleja are dubbed in a such b grade manner and his dialogue delivery was totally ruined in the dubbed version and also they said mumbai instead of hyderabad and they totally ruin the story when they show he was in actually in a village of rajasthan in 2nd half of movies when originally he first goes to rajasthan and rest goes in an amdhra village ...there was no need to change these things ,this make many things confusing in hindi version at lot of places And unless a south movie isnt getting official dubbing release like bahubali or pushpa ...movies dubbing are pathetic

Major was the first south indian film (telugu) I went to see in theatres.. hindi dubbed one... And i was hella impressed by how good it was. I regret not watching RRR in cinemas now.. anyways Telugu cinema is bigger than bollywood now. So he is right. Bollywood really can't afford him. It was not dubbed in Hindi. It was a Bilingual movie (Shot in Telugu and Hindi). Meaning the actors and actresses had to work twice - once for Telugu and the other for Hindi.
The problem is that the reporter was asking in Hindi and also kept on telling one thing that he has to do hindi film to go pan india... When South Indian movies are dubbed it loses its essence. When movies are dubbed in Hindi, they completely change the sense of dialogue is delivered and they portray South Indians with comic Hindi accent, that is why South Indians are made fun of because that is how the North portrays them. If you really wish to dub movies why not do it right.

If you look at bharath ane nenu hindi version ..they gave punjabi and bihar/UP accent to some charcters who are party members ..for what??and also in nennokadine hindin version ek ka dum ..the scenes were cut and important dialogues and also dialogues were wrongly dubbed like he saod in telugu whuch meant " veham ka yahi advantage hai /this is the advantage of hallucination " bcs he was schizophrenic in that movie but the hindi versions show " veham me tujhe advantage milta tha " ....which totally change the meaning like according to hindi version this dialogue implies that he already know he isnt hallucinating but in telugu version the character thought he is hallucinating
And also in his movie khaleja which is dubbed as jigar kaleja are dubbed in a such b grade manner and his dialogue delivery was totally ruined in the dubbed version and also they said mumbai instead of hyderabad and they totally ruin the story when they show he was in actually in a village of rajasthan in 2nd half of movies when originally he first goes to rajasthan and rest goes in an amdhra village ...there was no need to change these things ,this make many things confusing in hindi version at lot of places

For the past 10 or 15 years main stream Bollywood people have made nothing but remakes of South movies, and dumb action masala movies. So why would any south actor would want to work in Bollywood when Bollywood is just making remake of the movie the south actor has already worked in?

what I genuinely feel is that apart from the story social media is also playing a big role in success of non Hindi movies, take something from the movie, try to copy it and make it a trend, and others will do the same in order to be up to date on that social media platform
