I can understand the Ice Attack take, the beat in the intro is so good I think it deserved a song and as good as the second rapping part is, it's too long and on the same tone. Maybe if the first part would have lasted longer it would have been better.

I feel like Metro actually being able to produce vs having to make simpler beats plus Future for a whole album was a great combination. It did not feel like a throwaway like I thought it was gonna be. Plus all the different producers adding their own sauce in it too. Definitely playing this all year.

The album was hit and miss for me, liked most of it but it got repetitive sometimes, I think the fun of Kendrick’s verse got everyone acting like it’s better than it is overall as an album. I still put metros last album ahead of this project but maybe it will grow on me

yeah this album it feels like trap elevator music to me. a lot of the songs feel so similar and i kinda feel like future phoned it in for some of the tracks. definitely some bangers but the kendrick track made me realize how much i’m getting tired of the Metro sound. he’s a great producer but I really wish he’d switch it up a bit more. the brightness from the air horn thing DUNUNA DUNUNA on like that was so refreshing

Like how nobody talking about how utterly ass and amazing Magic Don Juan is. 1st half of the beat is mediocre, the piano aint it and Future's vocals sounds like shit. Remides me of a soundcloud artist recording their song on a iphone. 2nd half tho is fucking heat🔥. The trantsion is clean asf, Future has energy and sounds like acutallly wanna be a part of it and the beat is fucking immaculate and compliments Future's flow and energy soo nicely. I was wondering where the fuck Future was as soon as the 2nd beat dropped. Definitely a underrated part/moment on the album.

First half I completely understand how people don’t like it and I didn’t initially then it came on in the gym at it went hard and changed my mind. Also I LOVE the fact future sampled himself with “You must be hallucinating” it was the perfect little homage to HNDRXX cause it’s not corny it’s not trying to play too much on nostalgia but it was perfect for the fans who’d know immediately

This is definitely an album that people love or hate. Most reactions and reviews to this album have been so all over the place its actually crazy.

No skips is Crazy imo I listen to the album 6 times as of rn and the more I listen the more i don't enjoy most of them as I did on the first listen specifically the 2nd half

The most underrated is defiantly Everyday Hustle, I see love for it but not like Like That or Type Shit, which is where I’d put it. The drum switch, the Rick Ross feature, the goddamn soul beat, and “drop a brick in the toilet he ain’t talking bout shit” 💀💀💀

My only problem with the album is some of the beat switches mainly on magic Don Juan and princess Diana I like the first part magic Don Juan better than the half wished he kept the whole song like that .

I do agree more with luca, I think it's a really great album but I did expect more risks from metro when it comes to the production and a bit more of the aggressive side from future like he had on songs like 712pm and holy ghost in INLY
You guys are encyclopedia for hip hop! Love watching your debates. Imo great album, but not as good as heroes and villains. And in terms of 2024 albums, it comes behind to American Dream by 21 which in my opinion is the best hip hop album so far.
I also recommend you have a listen to Joyner Lucas not now im busy album. Fire songs and great features.
Album Of The Year for me
Everyday Hustle really reminds me of Feel The Fiyaaaah (both songs top 3 of the album)
You gotta admit the sequencing of claustrophobic and like that, was genius if you look at how those flow into eachother subject matter wise, at least for me hearing claustrophobic and then like that in sequence it went and made so much sense why metro sequenced it the way he did and why kendrick set it up the way he did, and how it just flowed into the whole theme of how the big 3 at the top is too tight it’s just the big me, maybe I’m reaching but seriously that was genius for me
Where my twin @ Lowkey good. Future has good flow and nicely produced, not gonna be a hit for sure but it has a nice vibe, confused where all the hate is coming from
The fact that the kdot diss is over the ezy sample makes tht shit 10x better

The beginning of the second verse on ‘We Don’t Trust You’ is obviously a diss.
tbf there’s a couple songs that i’ve heard again and thought it’s actually not a good song and there’s 3/4 skips but at the same time those songs when ur chilling in ur car or just playing on a speaker in the background they do hit so whilst i think there’s a few skips in terms of listening to it daily, if they came on somewhere i wouldn’t just dislike it

I give this album an Amazing rating, no skips but there are 2 tracks max that I’m not all in on. The production def was the strongest suit on this project other than Kendrick’s verse but I think everyone understood the assignment for this one.
Type shit goes so crazy, I can't get the beat out of my head. Those clocktower sounds especially on cartis part are the reason, you're hyping his performance, when in fact it is metros production. But I had goosebumps when I heard Travis part

Whether you like it or not- this project transcends the Producer/artist collab- Metro/Future are up there with the goats. Not a perfect album- but it’s another solid addition to the track run they’ve had together.
Metro 5/5 in this past year with Heroes and Villains, the Spider-Verse Soundtrack, Business is Business, The new Savage album and now this😤🔥🥵

The Cinderella snippet was lowkey better because of their inflections there, their delivery on the actual song was trying to be a bit too much trancey and sleepy, which led to it being more one note. Still a great track though
9/10 album, best Future album since 2017, Cinderella best song, Kendrick best feature, Everyday Hustlers most underrated song, only skip for me is (Princess Diana)
I agree. However, Don Juan is a hype nickname from my friends, so I now have an anthem, and so does another friend I know, so 10 out of 10 for me 😅😂
The wizrd is a 10, this one 9.2 for me.
I’ll give it 9/10 too but can’t put it over the last album yet. I think INLY will go down as a classic in a few years
