Our biggest mistake was not having all state wide races decided by who won the most counties, parishes, etc. Poorer communities are totally ignored since 1-5 cities in each state have enough population to decide for their state. No political clout means that these areas are the forever weakest link in the chain.

@lancenorton1117 the bigger question is why the 1,500 hundred should have no influence. Take a ride through one of your state's poorer counties and compare infrastructure. Especially governors and other state wide elected officials should have to pay attention to all of their state.

He has (to liberals) a surprising fraction of the Black and Hispanic vote (roughly 20% each, or so), but in no way has clinched these two demographics. Although I hope he does win them over, I doubt he will. But in the end, he won't have to win more than 20% of these blocs to win the presidency. It says a lot that he's got one fifth of both.
